I uploaded a zip of the stock wallpapers to Google Drive.
This contains both the full and small images. I just copied the whole wallpaper folder.

*Note: Attachments are the small images. Download the zip to get the full size wallpapers.
Thanks! How did you access the files? My wallpaper folder shows no files.

How can I package images together into a wallpaper package and have them showup in the wallpaper gallery?
I know you just set any image as a wallpaper, but if they were in the wallapaper gallary it would be much easier.

Can't do it without rooting.

im rooted, so that isnt an issue.
Then all you have to do is copy the launcher.apk to your computer, open it in 7zip, find the folder where the wallpapers are and drag & drop the wallpapers you want into that folder within 7zip. Don't unzip the file... just drag and drop.
Then, just copy the file back into the appropriate system folder on your phone and you're done.
Is there any website that tells you what image files are what. Because when i extract the apk folder i get other folders with images inside of them obviously. The question is is there a site that would show me which image names are what images on the phone so i can edit those images to create my own theme.
Thanks

(Special thankx to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=918502)
Ok
From Images
1. Copy stock bootanimation.zip anywhere and extract it
2. Use FS image viewer to crop pics at 480x800 and save them in desired folder.
3. open gif animation and in wizard stack up the pics and create a single gif image. Make sure to keep the time at .01... under tools menu click reverse animation(important).
4 Open photoshop and do the following
a. Get the resultant .gif file and open it with Adobe Photoshop.
b. Now in Photoshop, go to, File->Scripts->Export Layers to Files(Fast PNG)
c. Give path to any folder so that it can save the final files(Give the path where u unzipped the stock bootanimation file)
d. Put all the renamed frames in the "android" folder and delete the old ones.
e. Use WinRar to zip them up again. BUT DO NOT COMPRESS THE .ZIP FILE, OTHERWISE THE PHONE WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT.
5. Now place the folder in system/customize/resource.
From video/game (.bik) files
1. Convert a file in avi format.
2. using bink player(included) select and convert the file in Jpeg/png format in desired folder.
3.Follow above steps from 3 to 5 and u can now have ur fav parts of vids as boot screens....
sharing some of my boot screens...

Note that this is the real deal - unlike the unofficial N5X wallpaper that was similar but slightly different, this is the 100% official stock wallpaper taken straight from the N5X's system image. You're welcome!
PS: If someone with a Nexus 6P could extract the stock wallpaper from that as well, I would be very grateful. There's no system image for the 6P yet, so we need someone with an actual device to do it! This is how:
Open the /system/framework folder in your file explorer of choice (root will be required to browse the /system folder);
Copy framework-res.apk to your PC, and open it in WinRAR;
You can find the wallpaper inside the archive, it's located in /res/drawable-nodpi-v4/.
Thanks in advance!

How to use the ZIP file:
Attention-The ZIP files are unflashable.
1. Download from the link given, rename it to bootanimation.zip after downloaded.
2. Copy the zip without extract to this directory "/storage/media", be sure you have root access to system, and don't forget to make a backup of original copy.
3. Reboot your phone to view the modified bootscreen.
*CM13 haven't been tested yet, but I'm sure it will work on it too if the bootanimation.zip file are same.
*Remember to choose the resolution that fit your screen size.
