why on earth would they put that ugly logo on this
i would buy it if it comes without the logo

the logo looks to be a sticker. i will be attempting to remove that sticker and maybe head to the mall later this week and get a vinyl "NEXUS" or maybe just a "7". Also thought about maybe a CM10 or an AOSP. just not sure yet. i'll post pics tonight if it is just a sticker.

Like I said..I already have this case....idont believe its a sticker ...don't bother trying to get it off..just place ur sticker over it

I also have this case- it's not aluminum- it's plastic with an aluminum stick on insert.
Not a good deal ($14.95) for a plastic back cover....

Just got this case in the mail today.
Really nice and snug fit. Only adds a bit of bulk to the Nexus, but not a ton.
The only thing I worry about is that the backing of it is super slick... I can see my Nexus getting bumped and going sliding off whatever it's sitting on.

I like the case. I knew I'd like the case before I bought it. I responded for the people who might like this case without the sticker on it. And show how easy it is to take the sticker off.

I purchased http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Poetic-TM-Leather-Case-Cover-Amazon-Kindle-Fire-7-Tablet-Black-/140664905919?pt=US_Tablet_eReader_Cases_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item20c04820bf#ht_2778wt_1180 to use in combination with the Poetic Element case. I just wanted something that I could use in addition to the shell if I were to want my Nexus to sit upright, or if I was just wanting to take it out with some additional piece of mind.
I had to bend the corner tabs a bit to get it to fit correctly, but it seems to be working alright. It's definitely snug inside this bookshell case. I wasn't too worried about having the Auto sleep functionality, but at least this shows that you can use this type of case in addition to the shell.

Cruzerlite or Puregear ?

Hey guys, I'm getting a case for my white G2 D802 international version and I'm going to choose between the cruzerlite bugdroid case and the pure gear slim case. I want maximum protection from a slim case, so I guess those are the best for me. I'm worried that the slimgear will not provide as much protection as the cruzerlite though. Which one of these cases has better screen protection (lip) and which color would you choose - I'd get the white Puregear, but cruzerlite has many options - I'm choosing between the Teal color and maybe the white or clear color, but I'm afraid any white TPU case will get dirty and uncleanable.

I have the clear cruzerlite bugdroid one, it looks great on my white Sprint LG G2, and provides good protection for a case of its type. (If you really need good drop protection though, you need something like an Otterbox or the equivalent.)

I tried to take some with my point-and-shoot, but my point-and-shoot with its 7.5 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, got jealous of the LG G2's 13 megapixel OIS camera and died.
Actually, the camera's battery died as I tried to take a picture of the phone with its case face-down, which might have been more instructive as it's hard to see otherwise. It makes a good story though. The fact that the battery wasn't ready and I didn't bother to fix it does say how the LG G2 has replaced my point and shoot for quality photos...
Anyway, I'll try to post pictures of it, even though since it's clear it's hard to evaluate from front-on...

I don't know. It looks like I might like the Teal more, or maybe white, but white ones tend to get paited by jeans pockets.

I'd choose teal or clear. The white one is known to have that problem according to others in this forum.

Yeah, even those. I've owned plenty of CL cases though, basically due to the awesome quality. I just never found their designs of them to be nice. Totally just my feeling though, I know a lot like em and can't blame em, they're great cases.

So any suggestions for a screen protector that plays good with the cruzerlite?

I have a Cruzerlite case on my Sprint G2 and feel it's a great value for the price. A couple of weeks ago my father-in-law accidentally knocked my phone from my hand while we were standing in a line. The phone fell forcefully about three feet to the concrete sidewalk. Fearing the worst, I picked up the phone and there wasn't a scratch on it!
I have a Zagg InvisibleShield on my phone, but it sometimes bubbles up along the edges with the Cruzerlite case. No big deal as I can press it back into place, but there may be better options out there.

Notification about closing back properly

Am I the only one that randomly get a notification to properly seal my back cover to make sure it's water tight?
Also, can somebody post a picture of the inside of the back door? I wanted to compare it to my rubber seal as mine looks like it's at a different angle in one spot than the rest and wanted to make sure it's made that way and it's not a lemon,

get exactly the same, its as closed as its going to get but keeps popping up about closing the back properly when I turn the phone on.

I don't think there's actually any correlation to the physical condition of the back. I think it's just a cover-your-ass thing by Samsung.

The prompt comes up after every reboot even if it's sealed properly. It's just a reminder. Just click the box not to remind you again

Nope, not the only one -- I believe every S5 model does this. As someone said above, it's Samsung covering their ass so they can't be blamed if you get it water damaged. I get a warning every time I reboot, every time I unplug charger, and most times I pop off the back. I also don't see any box that says don't show again. I wish I did

EDIT: Here is mine, see on the left side, seems it squased down 1/2 a mm as yours is nice and straight all allong that side

Hmm, after taking another closer look at mine...I notice that same thing in about the same spot. It may not be apparent in the picture I posted due to the lighting and resizing it, but here's the full-res shot: http://i.imgur.com/oOoRfAW.jpg
Now I'm hoping this is normal and doesn't affect the water resistance lol. Even with it that way, I honestly don't see how it would affect the resistance.

Ya, but weirdly, the first day i didnt get any notification, it only started the second day when i actually remembered it was IP67 and wanted to see how, it then that i removed the cover and got the first notification. So i'm pretty sure there is a sensor to detect if it was opened

seems to me, as if it is designed that way. I'm waiting for my S5 to be delivered, but looking at photos like this one:

It looks to me like the rubber seal changes its path to accommodate for the little space, comparable to the space left at the bottom for the battery-remove-hole. Their rubber seal has your phenomenon too, so I'd say it is normal.

Just got my own Butterfly 2 yesterday in Hong Kong.
Was a M8 user (well, I still have it), and picked up a white B2.
1.18.708.2 FW, 4.4.2 with Sense 6.
Anyone know places to pick up accessories for the B2 online? I've got a glass screen protector already, but looking to get a case before the white poly carb gets destroyed.

I think it's a nice device but I think the E8 is a lot better deal if you don't need the waterproofing or duo camera. I might upgrade to the next One flagship or Butterfly next year.

There is no doubt that the E8 offers a lot of value. I got the B2 BECAUSE of the waterproofing, my immediate phone before this was the M8, loved everything about that phone.

Incidentally, here's the Android central review of the Butterfly 2

For those who may be interested, the article states that the B2 : lower limit for brightness on the Butterfly 2 is much darker than that of the M8, and most other modern smartphones. As a result, the screen is frequently too dark indoors when brightness is set to "auto," a situation which isn't helped by the highly reflective white bezel used by the white model.
I concur, I think perhaps HTC wanted to extract a bit more battery from it, and make it darker. To rectify this, I've been using Velis Auto Brightness app, works perfectly, and I can fine tune exactly what I want from the brightness.

Have to say glossy finish get lots of fingerprints, appart from that little detail its a fantastic device so far!

Yeah. This is why I went for matte white. I hope they will produce more colours. Wouldn't mind a matte blue or matte grey. Or even good old matte black.

Looking for good transparent plastic case

Getting a 5x this weekend. Past experience with TPU cases havent been that great as they get grimy from oils and finger prints. I'm looking for a clear hard plastic case.
Does anyone have a good suggestion? Is there a case with metalized buttons?

The brand is iPely from Amazon.I just thought the packaging box is a chic one at the first glance.When arrived,it did not let me down.I found it easy to install because of complete accessories.Now I think everything is good, there is no defect yet.Maybe you could try that.You can decide whether to buy, the sale price is lower than $8.Hoping I could give you some reference.

Thanks, how thick is it? Not wanting a super thick one as I want to try and make it blend well into the body of the phone (if that makes sense)
