I updated to Windows 10 today and my phone no longer connects via MTP. PCCompanion also fails to install the driver.
I had the same problem with my old SP and I fixed it by installing drivers manually. Does anyone know where I can find them for Z3+? It works on Windows 10 but just not the N version.

Hi,
I had the same issue while moving to Windows 10 N, and I found that :
microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231 (sorry I can't post URL...)
Look for Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 10 on the Microsoft website.

Its a bit harder to install the ADB and Fastboot drivers, it isnt that easy like on Win7 but it will work. There are much threads about installing the drivers on XDA, just use the Search function ;D
It works on windows 8 but windows 7 is still a bit better in that respect.

I am using Windows 8 and Yes, everything is working well and Good.

im kinda noob in upgrades, so i followed the lg pc suite to install the next version of OS, after everything went smoothly, while updating suddenly it threw an error saying upgrade failed check USB connection and turn on phone again etc.
i did that it went to software upgrade screen but , its like that for 1 hour now, no updates. any help on what im doing wrong would be appreciated.
PS: not using KDZ or any other tools only LG pc suite.

1. First go to Settings and USB Connections and Tick LG Software.
2. Then install on PC the USB Drivers for LGEP880.
3. Then open LG Mobile Support Tool or LG Pc Suite.
4. Connect Phone with PC using USB.
5. Now it should appear "NEW UPGRADE AVAIBLE" click on Upgrade.
6. Wait and get some Ice Cream

Actually i did via LG pc suite but it got crashed, so got a s/w upgrade screen without anything happening,
but LG support tool did the trick.

Hi,
I'm looking to download the newest firmware for my 301BL, as I am using it for Windows Phone so I can manually update the firmware.
I sideloaded this app to get it working...

There is a few apps in the WIndows Store that can install the firmware but, my watch is on 1.14.4 firmware and I know they are up to 2.9. My serial number starts with a Q and the hardware is V3R3 if that helps.
I tried to install some faces as they need SDK 2.0 or higher, they wont install.
Any idea where I can get these ?

Hey guys.. Do any of you know where the USC Connection Mode resides in Settings ?? I've changed the connection mode from MTP to PTP when trying to use Helium and now I can't seem to find the connection mode page where I can change back to MTP.. Usually its under Xperia Connectivity>USB Connectivity, but it's just isn't there.. I have also used the search button in the Settings page but still could not find it..
I think you have messed up your systemui.apk file usually The notification bar shows the Type of Connection ...
But still now Visit Play Store and Install "SG USB MASS STORAGE ENABLER APP"
It will mount your device as MTP again!

I've tried your suggestion but the app requires root, which I don't have.. Any other suggestions ??
Messing up with the SystemUI.apk is one thing, but where on earth did Sony hid the USB Connection Mode page anyway ?? There must be a way to access it..
You must ask that to Sony Corporation too???

I'm already on the latest .251 firmware.. I doubt any OTA are coming any time soon.. Thought of doing a phone repair via PC Companion but the problem is my PC doesn't seem to detect my phone.. I'll try rebooting both devices to see if it helps..

you can only install apps from Microsoft store...
for homebrew or patched Windows Phone apps (XAP files) you need developer or interop unlocked phone, WP SDK installed on computer and XAP deployer for PC...
Insert an SD card that contains one or more .XAP files into your phone.
In the App list, tap Store
Select the apps you want, then tap Install ( (If you're running an earlier version of Windows Phone, look for the SD card option instead.)

you can access the memory card and navigate to the downloaded file to install it next stop! Good luck : D

- Where is the downloaded app resides? (PC or downloaded to your phone?)
- What phone model are you using? (I'm seeing you used a Micromax A117, I'm hoping it's not that you are referring to)
