After i repaired my screen the second time my cellular signal was very low or completely gone. I searched forums to find the parts that are responsible for cellular signal.
So i replaced the following parts:
- blue antenna cable
- gray antenna cable
- flex-platine cellular sub
Now i have a bit more signal but mostly NO signal
2 clips from the middle frame are broken (where the antenna cables snapped in) ... could this be the reason why i have nearly no signal?
I have no idea which parts i could replace to get my cellular signal ok. Please help!

Why does the IIi suck so much in cellular reception? Half the time it's 'seeking a signal' and the other half it's at 1 to 2 bars. The moment I enter a building, it drops getting a signal...
On my Razr V3i that came with my provider (Rogers Canada), I get four bars in the exact same spot that I had 1 bar or nothing on my IIi.
Is there any way to improve reception, because I'm really tired of carrying my PPC phone and razr around.
Also, say if there is no sim card inserted, does that mean it turns off the phone component and saves me battery, or do I have to turn on flight mode (which means I don't get wireless either) for that?
could give another radio stack a try
I have two weeks old o2x and o2 carrier, and i have very often signal dropping.
It drops signal during phone call or i can see red X above signal bar from time to time. I have to hit automatic search for network to connect again...
Anybody with same problem? Is it software or hardware based?
I have V10C, it is latest for my country...
thx
Mayb your holding it the wrong way.
The antenna is located on the bottom of the phone.
So keeping your phone tight during call can drop signal.
Hello.
I have a HTC 600 and changed the lcd+touch module.
When i disassembly it a piece of the mainboard just snaps ( marked in green in photo ).
The display and touch are working juust fine but i have problems with sim 1 signal.
SIM2 works just fine, get signal but SIM1 not. SIM1 slot detects the SIM but just no signal.
I read that the cable is named "Antenna coax signal cable". But then how it is possible to have signal on SIM2 and on SIM1 not ?
I measured with the multimeter and even with the broken piece there is continuity between the main board and the lower part.
Any advices ?
Thanks !
Used my wifes Z1 to test my Z1 motherboard as I was having touch screen issues and a new screen didnt resolve it so wanted to test and see if it was a board issue which it was. Put wifes phone back together and now having signal issues.
Basically all signal reception strength seems to be reduced on all modes, data on 3G and HSPA+ is ok when signal strength is strong enough but on 4g I have very strange problems. On uk EE Although signal strength is reduced data transfer is still ok with 4g. On O2 however even with 4 bars i get zero data transfer. Have a Z3 tablet also on O2 that works perfectly on 4g. Tried swapping sims with the z3 still same result. Tried them both side by side tonight Z1 -95dbm 4g Z3 -89dbm on speed test z1 showed connection issues while Z3 showed download of 16Mbps. Have replaced aerial coax lead and aerial board without any change.
Apn settings all correct.
Any ideas what could be the issue?
Thanks

I replaced my Note 5's motherboard. After replacement, I seem to be getting a very low cellular signal. When I connect the old motherboard back, the signal is still low. The blue and white antenna cables seem to be connected properly.
What could the issue causing the degraded signal reception.
