It is a bug that they fixed in 5.1. The folder is invisible, but it is there.
In es file explorer open the menu, add a favorite for the path write /storage/Android/obb
And for the name whatever you want. Then you can see the folder.
Or if you upgrade to 5.1 it will be visible from es file explorer already.

Yes, but i have had the folder before on another version of kitkat, and i really don't wanna update cuz lollipop is kinda slow compared to kitkat. And es doesn't let me copy anything to the folder

It 's not a kitkat bug which is why it does not affect other phones. It only affects moto x gen 2, and only on versions before 5.1.

LOST.DIR folder

Hi everyone.
So today I was looking at my sd card through a file explorer and I've always seen a folder there called 'LOST.DIR' and it had always been empty until today.
So I was wondering what is that folder for??
and can I delete anything inside that folder? or will it screw up my phone in some way? I have about 11mb there that I could free if I erase that folder.
thanks in advance.
The Lost.dir is used for compatibility with the MacOS. LOST.DIR is a special folder that holds all the corrupted or orphaned files found during a file system check. File system checks are completed during the Android mount process.
thank you.
Can I just remove the folder for I will never use any mac machine with my nexus one?

You can remove it, but it will probably be re-created sooner or later. When that happens just remove it again - it's safe

[Q] Cant move file between internal and external SD :(?

I cant move files from Internal and to External SD on my O2x . When ever I try the file manager reports the move failed. I have tried with both Astro File manager, and ES File Manager and both reports its failed and cant do it.
Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong?. It doesn't make sense cause I can copy and paste between the cards, but have to delete the original which is rather tedious. I would prefer the move would just work and I suspect its something LG has ****ed up since it work on other phones >_<.
ES File has even got root access and still fails .
So does anyone have a solution that might work?
Same with me to. I use Androzip
Try using root explorer yet?

Well its an paid app so no. And ES File supports root as well and cant. Im not feeling for spending x amount of dollars on an app I am not sure will actually do what I want it to do. What if the developer does not want to issue me a refund?
I have this stupid bug too... on sgs
I have contacted the developers of es file and some others... they said we are going to check...
I impressed how irresponsible they can be, this is a basic function on file explorer..
Anyway only the build-in my files works for moving files, all others are trash, including root explorer.
Root explorer works just fine for me (moving files from/to internal to/from external).
Just downloaded es file explorer and it did not work.
Any news on a fix for this?

Root Explorer DOES NOT WORK. I tried it and it while it shows no failure messages all my files remain in the same places and nothing gets moved.

[Q] Wifi File Sharing

Hey guys,
My phone and PC are connected to the same wifi router and I want an app to explore shared files on my PC.
I've already tried ES File Explorer, ASTRO and File Expert and they don't seem to be able to connect to the computer.
Is there another app to do so, or do I need special configuration my my Windows 7?
*Using a laptop I could connect to my PC entering username and password without any problem.
+1 I would like to know myself.

This app is also for browsing SD files on PC, that's not what I'm looking for
I recommend SwiFTP. U can find it on Market.
One click, and you can share files between pc and phone.

restore stock ics apps

is it possible to restore stock apps in galaxy ote n7000 without resettind it...??
Yes you need root and a tool like root explorer. Just take apks out of rom and place in system apps.
Check that they have same permissions as other apps, rw and such and click them to install. Not sure if they install themselves with a reboot.

Open Root Explorer.
Scroll Down to System/app
You will see all applications there. Just Copy and paste to your external SD Card. When you want to restore just paste them to System/app using root explorer and set permissions as rw-r-r and reboot

Ok, download rom you want to restore from, usually a zip file, unzip it. Then with root explorer navigate to tar. Md5 file and open it, you might need to rename to tar file only, then within that search for a fokder that contains the apk you want, extract them, or copy them outside tar file then to your system app location etc etc

Just keep file pressed when selecting, then menu opsbup and scroll in menu to option permissions. Then select those according to permissions set inother files.
All this in root explorer. Not sure if a fix permissions from cwm recovery fixes this. Never tested it.

You might need to mount system/apps as read write r/w. That is a button on top left of screen when you are in that folder, just set it back when done

I'll teach you how to fish instead of giving it to you.
There is a website called google.com type your query there, together with e.g android, or xda or both, and youre sure to find your answers to almost any question.
Might need to query with different phrases or order of words, sometimes in steps.
Thats how I figured out last time. Sorry I wasnt able to answer stepwise step for step. maybe you make a tutorial with print screens, for future users that have same question
Damn I suck at explaining

Can't copy to /sys folder anymore

Hello all. I have a problem. I was able since like for ever to replace a file in /sys/android_camera_awb_cal every time i reboot to solve the green tint issue. But today I couldn't... It says insuficient space error. I have all the permissions i set manually to every folder to rw. Installed custom kernel again, clear all caches. Uninstalled xposed framework. What is the problem? I can't take pictures like this. Shame on HTC to replace a sensor and not give an update to match awb files.
The only file Explorer i was able to copy the file to sys was es file Explorer. Even with root Explorer i couldn't. Now I can't with es Explorer and did try with others with no success.
I have s.off using sense 4.4.3, custom kernel and busybox.

Strange.. in /sys/android_camera_awb_cal/ folder there are 2 files. awb_cal and awb_cal_front. I can overwrite the last one but the awb_cal (the one I want) I can't... Why Mr. Android why?? XD
