Hi guys
I live in Botswana, cellphone prices are sky high here.
I see T-Mobile is having a salr on the G4's.
Will they allow me to buy one and send it to me here?
And are there anything I should know about before I buy, risks involved etc.
I cant seem to find an email address for a sales rep.
Any help will be appreciated!
If you do not have T-Mobile service in your country you can not purchase a T-Mobile phone from T-Mobile. You need to look at purchasing the unlocked version. Internet is full of sites that sell the unlocked LG G4.

In the USA, the only place that sells the HD7 is T-Mobile and it is SIM locked to T-Mobile.
You can though, but it full price without a contract from T-Mobile, and that'll net you around $500.
600.00 and if you buy it off contract I'm pretty sure t-mobile will give you the unlock code but I might be wrong and you might have to use a 3rd party site.

Thanks, even if it costs $600, it will be cheaper in almost $200. If I can, I'll buy it.
Thanks again.
Jota
You can actually buy it on Amazon for $500, no tax or shipping fees, if you are in the US.

Click the Phone Only option, and there you go.
If you are coming to Toronto I'll sell you mine! I love the phone but I have to live on Edge since T-Mobile and FIDO are different Bands. I cannot get 3G with Fido network with the T-Mobile phone. Willing to sell the phone and then wait for WP7 and HTC HD7 that I can get 3G service with. It's unlocked so should work with any carrier. Just make sure you can get highest speed data back in your home land. PM me if you are heading this way.
So what's the procedure for unlocking the unsubsidised phone? Is it unlocked right out the box or would I have to call T-mobile?
I bought one through tmobile. I called them and 24 hours later they sent me the unlock code. via email. They told me it may take 8 days to get it but I got it the next day

Do you have an account with them / a contract?
Hey,
if I buy the phone at full retail price without contract, is it then locked for sim cards as well? I cant find this information anywhere.
I'm thinking about buying it and take it home to europa. Thats why im asking.
Thanks
It might be, considering it's on Verizon, but I'm not sure if it'd even work in Europe. It is, primarily, on Verizon's CDMA bands and presumably the SIM is only for roaming usage, I'm not really sure if it would work to just buy it in the US and take it back home.
You can buy the overseas equivalent, which is the Milestone 3 and should be available(if not now, then soon). The Milestone, unless I'm mistaken, is GSM primarily.
If I have undesrtood correctly, Motorola Droid 3 works on European WCDMA networks. They advertise phone like "3G works more than 125 countries".
I have same problem. I want Droid 3. I have heard only one comment about Droid 3 Europe edition. It says that Milestone 3 comes to Europe in Q3 or Q4. News also say that it will not arrive to UK.
Only problem on Verizon model is hotspot restrictions and contract needed. I don't want pay 30$ for 2GB, because unlimited data costs 15$, in Finland..

I thought the one for 460$ is "contract free" ? Or what does full retail price means?

At droidforums.net guys want to take it to the uk, sim already insert.
It is defenetly working, my question is now, do i get it without contract?
The thing about waiting and buying it when it gets released at europa is no point, because when i buy it now for 460$ in the us, it means 340€ (if you now a Stewardess you do not even pay taxes and shipping). When it gets released here it might be around 450€, normally they change it 1:1.

Verizon wants to keep Droid 3. Still, if you buy it with cash, you must take Verizon to Operator.
I'm not sure, will BestBuy require Verizon use, because they are Verizon branded.

b patience, it is a global phone like D2G
u need to unlock it via VZ
A unlock code ebay seller told me they get codes for the droid 3 as well.
He has over 6000 evaluations, i'll see in a few weeks.
I have always watched Droids Google and Verizon marks, and I like them(as stupid as it sounds) and if models come to eBay or somewhere, I'll buy it.

Yes, it is SIM locked even if you buy it at full retail price without a contract. If you're a Verizon customer and meet a handful of qualifications, Verizon will unlock the SIM free of charge. Beyond that, the only way to get it unlocked is to wait until some online vendors get codes for it. Once it's unlocked, it should work on pretty much any GSM network outside of the U.S.
Hi all, a friend is now in SF and i asked him to buy for me a new Htc One.
He only found At&t and Sprint store, but i don't want to risk with the sim unlocking.
Does anybody know a store where he can buy a sim unlocked One with no problems?
Thanks
In the USA your only going to be able to get it from a carrier if you buy at a retail store. All the international versions that people are talking about are purchased from online websites. Where are you going to be using the phone?

In Italy.
I read that Sprint is a bit strange with the sim unlocking, so i don't wanna risk.
Instead At&t is possible to be sim unlocked with a code also using unlocking sites.
Btw, my friends says that At&t won't let him buy the phone until he does 3 months of contract..it sounds strange, maybe my friend don't wanna buy the One for me anymore
Right now with inventory issues, most carriers are unwilling to sell there phone out right. They are having a hard time fulfilling contract orders why would they sell you a phone by itself when throngs of people will buy it on contract. Only people I've seen buying it standalone is T-Mobile and that depends on what stores you go to.

Hi There,
I'm going to the states next month and would like to buy a Nexus 6. I don't think i can buy one from google play since i don't have an US address and credit card.
Does any of you guys know if it's possible to buy the phone without contract in best buy? and how has this worked with the previous models?

The US phone has different 4G bands to the 'Rest or World' N6 so things like 4G might not work. If you're in Denmark just buy it when available in your country (or from another EU country) to avoid disappointment
I'm in the US and interested in the OP's actual question. Can one buy a phone, in this case N6, from Best Buy, without contract?
Order it and ship to the address you will be at?

I don't see why you WOULDN'T be able to. Be the same as going to Best Buy and buying something like the Note 4 off-contract for the full price as far as i'm aware.

I have had that thought and have looked up the bands my Danish carrier users and the ones the American N6 supports and it should work. But your right i should probably wait and get the european model with a quick charger that fits our sockets.
I have a buttload of BB gift cards I need to use up
Will best buy offer the pre order also? I have a few gift cards also.

Is there an advantage to buying @bb (such as return policy or warranty)?
I don't think so, just have the gift cards to get rid of.

I have the $200 gift card from where I preordered and bought the AT&T Note 4. Returning it because of the locked down BS. Got to have my root at the very least.
Im from Philippines and i want to buy moto x 2014 but no one is selling here. Anyone can suggest a legit seller and willing to ship here? TIA

Can't you buy directly from MotoMaker?
Nope. They didn't include Philippines as shipping address

I'd also be keen if anyone could suggest a workable way to buy the phone from Australia through either the US, UK, or europe motomaker?
The Moto X still hasn't gone on sale here, and when it does Moto Maker won't be part of the offering...so we'll be unable to customise the phone
I've actually placed an order through the US Moto Maker site, using the Comgateway freight forwarding service as my delivery address, not realising that Motorola explicitly forbid this as part of their terms of sale, suffice to say they ended up cancelling my order.
Has anyone been successful in purchasing through either US, UK or european motomaker and getting it sent internationally?
Motorola customer service actually suggested I have it shipped to a friend/family member to send on, but unfortunately I don't know anyone in the countries where moto maker is offered...if they offer this as a solution it makes me question why they have a policy of forbidding freight forwarders, but I won't get anywhere having that argument with them...

yes, I ordered through phonehouse.de, they don't check delivery address like motorola does but you will have to pay for shipping twice, one time for yor motomaker code and one time for the phone. To be honest I think that would be to expensive. All in all I paid 610 euros for the 32GB variant (phonehouse did have an offer for free premium backs though) but my GF managed to pick up a note4 for only 680euros in a dutch store, it comes with a "turbo" charger in the box and earpieces and of course the s-pen and better hardware and with lollipop around the corner many of the moto's exclusive features will be coming to other devices too. Or get a nexus 6
