OTA update will broken if you alter any system file which you already did while rooting. So, now the only way is flash the first 5.1 OTA update zip again.

who is getting error go to below link

I was on 5.1.1 then I rooted my phone with kingroot mobile app and flashed cwm recovery with flashify and was using custom rom.. Later few days back I reverted back to stock kitkat I.e. flashed flashable zip via cwm n then flashed stock recovery with flashify. And then removed root access with kingroot app. Then I received update for 5.1 around 409 mb and then 5.1.1 around 11mb both update where installed properly but this latest update of 18 mb is not getting installed.

Updated

I went back to KitKat n did got stock recovery flashed and after it I did full unroot n factory reset in KitKat.
Then I updated my phone by downloading ota's 5.1>5.1.1>n latest of 18 mb.. It installed without any problem
For rooting I used kingroot app.

I'm not that much of an expert, but i think kingoroot actually changes the system files so much that future ota updates are affected. Better to root by flashing update.zip from SD card after downloading latest version or else use All in one toolbox or Android One toolkit.
By this way we can just unroot from superuser and install update using custom recovery rather than having to flash whole rom. (if update doesn't install like in this case. It worked for me without any extra hassle)

I am facing from the same issue. I was rooted.. But then I factory reset the phone so now, Root should technically be gone. Before doing factory reset, I had also removed root from the SU app. Still, when I try to install OTA update, I am getting an error. So I Captured the OTA and then tried to flashed the zip via recovery as well as ADB Sideload. Both of them gave the same error at the Verifying Current System stage:
Verifying current system...
"/system/bin/install-recovery.sh" has unexpected contents.
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted
The same error occurs every time via both flashing methods. Any idea guys??
Thanks

Guys.. If it is showing error and you unrooted ur mobile. Get back to root install flashify then install STOCK recovery stock kernel and remove all the changes you made after root. Then try to update. If it does not work. Then the only way is install android 5.1 409Mb update again.

Guy plz anyone give me link to download working drivers for sparkle v to connect PC

Then you should to install Twrp recovery and delete all user data INCLUDING SOFTWARE. during this process remove your memory card coz if there any problem then you may lose your memory data so remove ur memory card and delete ALL DATA INCLUDING DEVICE SOFTWARE then when you reboot it will shows NO SOFTWARE TO OPEN. Then insert memory card and install that409mb android 5.1 zip file. It will surely work for you. If not then its not ur fault its my fuddu English fault.

Yes , you can. But it takes a lot of time and lot of data. Amd if the process is unsucessful then we have to download 409mb again and again. Save data save money save time.

[Q] Phone stuck in boot loop

Hey all! I have (had) a rooted HTC one.
In an attempt to install an Android 4.3 ROM, I've got my phone in 1 of 2 stages.
I have TWRP
When I tried to download the 4.3 ROM and reboot, it takes me back to the bootloader screen. If i try reboot, it continuity takes me back to this screen.
If i go to recovery, and attempt to wipe & backup, it says successful, however, upon a reboot, it goes through the motions, but android nor apps never loads and in about 20 seconds, the phone restarts and continues this process over and over again..
Can anyone help me just get my phone back please?
I feel like somethings just missing or do i need to factory reset?

Jaywill I did the exact same thing as you did, followed the wrong root guide to upgrade 4.3 on htconeroot. I too get booted into the bootloader screen consistently and after a factory reset/recovery it's stuck in a bootloop.

It took me 8 hours last night to fix it, I eventually had to resort to relocking my bootloader and install the 1.29 RUU. Phone seems to work fine now.

I did lose everything on my phone. I didn't had much on it though since I've only had the phone for two weeks.
The course of action is this:
First connect phone to your computer and get ADB going (hopefully you had USB debugging on)
Then follow this guide to get S-OFF and relock bootloader, make sure you booted into recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44243635
Then download RUU from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904
and install on your PC.

First off I'm assuming you have the android SDK installed on your PC since you have rooted phones before.
You probably need a driver for your PC to recognize the phone. The one I used is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263822
But you can also download and install the HTC Sync
Once your PC recognizes your phone and you are booted into recovery you can push ADB and fastboot commands to your phone.

did you try a dalvik wipe? sometimes it helps
I think you need to flash twpr (you can find it on this forum) then a full wipe, after that, try another rom (i'm using for now a 4.4.4 rom, but tried several 5.02 rom's. Was working fine only a irri noise when i was caling with somebody, think my mic is broken)I would say, try also to use odin multiflasher to reset all settings of your phone, start new from the begin, It can be a nasty problem but good to fix.

If you have TWRP, you can flash anything. Root permissions apply inside the rom, not inside a custom recovery.
If you're on the recovery, you can flash anything (that your recovery allows).
inside TWRP, find a way to wipe everything except EFS. Format /system , /cache , /data and /data/media if it shows.

yes it should be possible to instal kitkat or lollipop, did that several times, but you have to be sure you're going to use the right rom's (9305 or LTE) if you don't you divice can be bricked.
Are you sure your samsung has root? please download en install root checker from the playstore, this will tell you if your samsung has root!!
i ran this rom a few days (again ihave a personal problem with my mic, on lollipop there is a noise, on kitkat or older roms not) can't find what couses the problem, sadly....

With custom rom's better always look for root on your device.
you need this:
http://download.chainfire.eu/232/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.zip

Rom: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934540052 this is a lollipop good working rom
on this url: you find info for using odin to flash the proper software on your gt-i9305!
