Older/Previous Releases
Please note that the file above does not include Google apps, such as Gmail, YouTube, or the Google Play Store. You will have to install those manually, just make sure they are compatible with Android 5.1.
Sweet! How do I install it?
Well, that depends on one thing. Are you S-OFF or S-ON?
If you don't know what this means, then you're S-ON.
If you're S-ON
1. Download the ROM zip to your computer.
2. Extract the "boot.img" from the zip file.
3. Put the zip file on your device and flash it in TWRP.
4. Reboot the device to fastboot mode and, on your computer, flash the boot image you extracted to your device by issuing the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
5. Reboot normally
If you're S-OFF
1. Place the zip on your device and flash in TWRP
2. Reboot normally

No problem.
I added another disclaimer to the OP, basically saying that it's not quite daily-driver material yet, just in case anyone decided to skip over the issues list.

Please make sure that the MD5 of the zip you have is the same as the MD5 that I have posted in the OP. What is the error exactly?
Going to try this out later tonight when I get back home from work. Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Appreciate your work man. you're a 16 yr. old badass in my book.
Prepare yourself though for lots of headaches from the many many users who just wont take the time to read your instructions. Never seen anything like it during my time here on XDA.
What you have done so far is remarkable (you too Mr. Mike) I can wait for stabilization if it comes, if not no biggie. You'll never hear a complaint from me bro.
You need anything, just ask. I'm available to those who are serious like yourself (you too Mr. Mike )
Anyways, thanks buddy. For everything.

I'll talk more to my Cricket tester and see if he has the same issue.
EDIT: I updated the OP and added this.

Thanks! This is actually further than I initially envisioned myself making it. It's fun to do this type of stuff actually. I bought my 510 off-contract and never activated it, with the intent of just doing this stuff to it.

Love the progress. This rom is awesome. I have two HTC Desire 510's. After reading the "Not Working Section" I realized that data doesn't work on virgin mobile just yet. So, I will re-install this rom on my non activated one and follow your progress until calls, messaging and camera works. Then, I will install it on my activated one. But, thumbs up my friend. You beat MIUI to the punch in getting a modern rom started for this device. They still work on dinosaur HTC device roms. LOL!!
when will this be stable this rom looks awesome keep up the good work
Man r3pwn killin it!! Amazing work my dude mad props too! Goin test this out later on my vm desire, thanks r3pwn!

I must have done something wrong when installing. LOL!! I'm not an expert at flashing. So I don't doubt that I did something wrong. Ok, i'm gonna go back and retrace my steps on the flash and make sure I didn't miss any steps. Wait, I think I did. Is the boot image that needs to be extracted from the zip for those of us who are still s-on does that mean it needs to be completely out of the zip and then flashed in fastboot? If so, that is were I messed up at. And when whipping, do we factory whip or advance whip? Just wanna make sure. If I can at least get calls and text working, I'll be fine.

You can leave the zip as it is, you just have to make sure that you flash the boot image in fastboot. When I wipe, I usually pick "Advanced Wioe" and wipe system, data, cache, dalvik-cache and sometimes even internal storage.
will this work with boost mobile ?? i 1.
5. Reboot normally that all went great ! but cant - Call , Text ,

Hey, you are doing fine. No complaints here. I know from experience that it takes time to get these roms fully running. Plus, I'd rather you be in good spirit while working on this masterpiece. :fingers-crossed::victory:

The LG L5 E617G variant can certainly be rooted, have an unlocked bootloader, as well as run CyanogenMod. The Bell variant can use a custom kernel.
Firstly:
- Root the device using the guide in this thread.
- Verify that you have a SuperUser app installed, and you're able to achieve root status. The best way to check is by downloading SuperSU, and updating the binaries.
Secondly:
- Unlock the bootloader by downloading emmc_appsboot_617_truncated.zip in this thread. (Thanks Skellums!)
- Turn on USB Debugging in Developer Options, (if you can't see Developer Options in the settings menu, continuously tap on Build Number in About in Settings).
- When you plug in your device, if you have an SDCard, you should see two storage spaces within the LG L5 MTP. Place the bootloader file in root of the phone storage (which the devices sees as the SDCard). The actual SDCard is the external SDCard which ADB has trouble seeing on occasion.
- Plug in your device to the PC, and make sure its loaded into Android.
- Download the fastboot/adb files here, and extract them to C:/fastboot/. Open the command prompt in windows, and type:
Code:
cd C:/fastboot
then...
Code:
adb devices
...and make sure you see your device, then...
Code:
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/sdcard/emmc_appsboot-backup.bin
dd if=/sdcard/emmc_appsboot_617_truncated.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5
reboot
- Now, you should have an unlocked bootloader. If you get any "file not found errors", you placed the emmc file in the wrong directory
Thirdly:
- You now need a recovery, so let your phone reboot, and when its back to the main screen, make sure the device is plugged in, open the command prompt, and follow the instructions here.
Fourthly:
- Any CyanogenMod works very nicely on the L5 E617G. You can get CM10.1 along with gapps here or CM10.2 here or the amazing CM11 here. Before heading back to recovery, you will need the CM10.1 ROM, GAPPS, v20 BaseBand, and WakeWithHomeAndPower_signed.zip (Optional) and v10 Baseband (For restore purposes if something goes wrong).
- Copy all those zips to the root of your external SD, and then run the command:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
- Before anything, create a NANDROID BACKUP! Make sure to backup to the external SD, as you probably would have more space to work with.
- Then, factory reset your device in recovery. You can now flash CM10.1, by choosing "install zip from external sd card". Flash the v20 baseband, then the ROM, then gapps, then the wake with home fix.
Done!
- Upon reboot, you should have CM working very well on your LG L5 E617G!
Note: You can also get to recovery with the L5 but holding down Vol Down and Home, while pressing the power button for 2 seconds.
Disclaimer: I wrote this article because I, myself, had quite the experience in getting CM10.1 running on this L5 variant, and I wanted to show that it's certainly possible, thanks to the hard work by all the devs here! Good luck!
Thank you, good sir! I have now installed CM10.1!
I ended up running the recovery twice - after the first time, during the reboot, it just hung at the LG logo so I turned it off and back on and then repeated the recovery install steps and it was fine after the second time (now that I think about it I should've just tried issuing the "adb reboot recovery" command again instead).
Phone definitely much snappier and I haven't had any problems so far! Thank you again!
It's been a couple of days now and all seems to be running smoothly!
The only issue I have with CM on my L5 is that the video seems to cause issues - it'll work the first time but then hangs afterwards and subsequent attempts just give an error. Rebooting is the only cure. Not a huge deal for me though.
The rest of the phone runs great, definitely smoother and snappier than stock.
Now my camera/video recording is working just fine today. Go figure.
Loving the speed vs the stock stuff!

I've noticed the same thing. Once and a while, the video camera will freeze, and then force close. Reopening it causes "Gallery has stopped.". It's really finicky, but a reboot usually does the trick. Not sure if it's a ROM issue or a E617G issue, but you're not alone!
Pictures seem fine, I would suggest staying away from the video recording for now.

I seem to recall having these issues a long time ago with the stock ROM too, now that I think about it. Not a big deal for me, easier to just avoid using the video camera.
I've even gone and flashed the latest (as of today) beta 5 of CM 10.1 as well - works just great as well!

Same here now! Whoohoo!!
Thank you, good sir! I have now installed CM10.1
I've installed beta 6 and now the video is working just fine (no hangs!).
I did find that I wasn't able to boot into recovery - I had to reflash recovery from ROM Manager.
I then tried to flash the custom OC kernel and that resulted in a blank screen, so back into recovery and reflash beta 6 again.
So I've lost the overclock but meh, I'm ok with waiting for an updated kernel.
New kernel was posted, I've flashed and it works - OC is back! :good:

Does this ROM work on that model? and does it unlock the network(sim)?

It does not unlock the SIM, however, you can get your SIM unlocked by using a service such as this: http://dollarunlock.com/lg-e617g-optimus-l5-unlock-code.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------
I've installed CM and it seem to be working well, but there's a problem with the gapps install.
com.google.process.location
recherche google
picasa uplauder
google play store
All keep crashing on launch and do not work at all. SO I can't do any search on the phone and google play store isn't working at all.
Is this a know problem or did I do something wrong with the install?
Is there a way to fix this? I've tried to redoanload de gapps and do a factory restor but for now no changes.
Dear experts, I have seen similar threads as with the issue I am facing but I wasnt sure of few parts and if the process as a whole could work for me.
Here's what I know and what the problem is all about, appreciate any help to get back the phone in working condition.
First the basics:
HTC first
GSM unlocked, Bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed
I wanted to delete and format the device as I intended to give this to my friend and I did go to TWRP menu and then clicked on advanced wipe etc and realized I did erase everything the phone needs even to bootup. This I have done without taking backup.
What it looks like now:
When I boot the device out from TWRP, the 'F' logo comes up and stays like that for ever. If I go to TWRP pressing the power and volume down together, it goes to the TWRP menu and thats it..no options seem to help me on this screen to go past the 'F' logo at startup. If I simply power down the device on the 'F' screen it restarts and goes to the same screen making it look like its in a loop. Not sure if this is called soft-brick or hard-brick but it looks like the phone is of no use to me right now.
Can you guys please help me with resolving the problem..any help will be much appreciated

Well then you'll have to make sure you flash the boot.IMG as well,
So what you'll do is
1) find the stock ROM around these threads
2) sideload the ROM
3) flash it
4) flash the boot.IMG inside the rom
5) you're done!
Understanding what s-on/off won't be of use here really d:
And the stock ROM is somewhere around these threads. About the side loading you might find a tutorial for that on YouTube. wait a sec...you dont have a rom or kernel on your device at the moment right?
then there is no way to turn on usb debug on or off cause there is nothing managing the device.
um...use cmd and do adb devices. if its not there then i have no idea but if fast-boot goes into usb mode try flasing it using code
not sure what you would use, but see if "fastboot flash update nameofROM.zip"
but im not sure if that is the right code

Hi everyone,
there are obviously tons of Android L threads already, but I wanted to post simple instructions for getting the developer preview up and running and also back to your previous version.
Without talking much more, here are the steps...
1. Make sure you have a custom recovery installed (I suggest TWRP 2.7.0.0 or higher, I did not test with CWM so caution for those users)
2. Make a full nandroid backup (System, Data, Boot) of your current system. After the backup completes, restart your device and copy the nandroid backup file to your PC. (The file should be located in the TWRP/Backup section of your device)
3. Make sure you have Android SDK installed, https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html (Open SDK Manager and check off Android SDK tools, platform-tools, and build-tools as well as the entire section of Android L. Click Install packages and make sure that all of those files install)
4. Download and extract the Developer Package from here http://developer.android.com/preview/setup-sdk.html#top (the download link is under step 1 in the "Install the L Preview System image" section)
5. Place the extracted Developer Package files into your platform-tools folder of your SDK folder location
7. Boot your device into fastboot mode by powering off and then powering back up by holding Volume Up + Down + Power (Let the device stay in this mode during the entire process)
8. Open command prompt and type "chdir (copy and paste the file directory of your platform-tools folder here)"
9. Type "adb start-server" this is just to ensure adb is running. Then, while still in the directory of your platform-tools folder, type "flash-all" (You may get errors with it unable to flash some ".sig" files, but that is ok. (After the files flash, your phone will automatically reboot to the boot animation, if you are on this screen for a while, just be patient. The first boot takes quite a while do to the change to ART)
Your phone should now be running on Android L. The next steps will be for returning back to your previous install, while also backing up Android L and being able to switch between the 2. Installing Android L deletes your custom recovery that you had and replaces it with a stock one. In order to make backups and return to your previous system, you must reinstall TWRP or CWM which is explained below.
10. You can install TWRP simply by using the Nexus Root Toolkit by WugFresh XDA Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475 Mirror: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Mobile-Phone-Tools/Others/Galaxy-Nexus-Root-Toolkit.shtml (Open the Toolkit and click Launch under Advanced Utilities. Then, under Boot/Flash Image click the Flash (Permanent) radio and click recovery. Select latest TWRP and follow the instructions.
11. After TWRP installs, make a backup of your current system (Android L)
12. Reboot your device, when powered up, place your first backup that you made (Before "L") into your TWRP/Backups folder.
13. Now in TWRP you have both your L backup and your old backup. You can restore either and then switch between the 2.
14. Enjoy (Give thanks if this helped you) Thank you!!
Out of curiosity can we do multiboot with stock 4.4.4 and Android "L"? Any one tried?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I am unsure of that especially because of the differences in radios and such. That's why I like this method because it's probably the closest I know how to get to it.

My only question to @bcollado is why not just do fastboot flash recovery command for TWRP?! Faster than using a tool kit.

some people dont know how to do things the right way. many think that root toolkits are easier and faster(when, for any nexus, they are not).

fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-hammerhead-hhz11k.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-hammerhead-m8974a-2.0.50.2.08.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-hammerhead-lpv79.zip
there you have "L". lol
I just figured this guide is aimed towards those who wouldn't know how to do that, obviously it can be done either way, but I assumed if you knew to do it manually, that you could choose to do it that way.

Can anyone check to see if they have the Gallery? I had to download QuickPic to view my stuff. But I'm thinking maybe its with Picasa photos app but I removed it from my screen and now I can't find that app.. Can anyone help please. I don't like using 3rd party apps if I already have one working just fine.. Thank you.

Not the place to ask...but gallery is currently not in the developer preview and might be taken out of android when the release gets finalized, but no one knows. Right now the "Photos" app is included and thats basically the new gallery for now at least

If they don't know how to do that, why the hell are they flashing the developer preview image? 99% of users are already taking the developer preview as a consumer release, and that is NOT what it is meant for.
If you don't know how to do it - then it's not damn meant for you.
I hate that attitude....I agree that people need to understand that it's not a consumer release. I 100% agree with that, but that doesn't mean people who don't know how shouldn't be able to check out the new features if they want, just because they don't know how. This is the whole point of this thread...so people can check out the new features on "L" and then go right back to where they were with no issues...please no more flaming on the fact that if people don't know how then they shouldn't, not on this thread anyway

Not at all...anyone who wants should be able to view new features, they just have to understand that it's not a final release and that it isn't meant to be used as such. Anyone who doesn't know how to do something and is brave enough to risk it and attempt to, deserves to learn

Unfortunately that isn't how it actually happens.. we wish it did, but it doesn't. As I said previously, 99% that are using it are already taking it as a "consumer release", most don't even know how to flash the .img files in fastboot and are just using a flashable zip.. not even doing it properly as it should be.

You can, but it breaks things such as the lockscreen. I don't know what exactly breaks, but reading from the thread in General a bunch of things do. I recommend a proper clean flash.

you can. but i would not until i would make a backup in recovery. and the same for you. if you dirty flash, and have issues, you can always restore the backup and flash again with a wipe

Thank you for the prompt reply. Well I follow the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718150 instruction. I successfully completed to
- Unlock bootloader from htc dev, - donwload and Install Custom Recovery TWRPand - download and install SuperSu from TWRP link. But I missed to complete the S-off step (don't ask me why I didn't do it I really don't know why). Then I followed the steps in the following guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386703 but when I typed :am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm.test.TestMainActivity nothing happened (I think it was because I was not s-off). So on other posts, (don't recall which of the thousands I read) I download the Sprint_M8_HK_Stock_Rooted_3.30.654.2_Deodexed.zip and using TWRP I tried to load it into the M8. Process was ok, but now when I turn on the device android will not run showing the screen above attached. Any ideas how to fix android and manage to sim unlock it? (newbie advice is much appreciated)

The second thread you followed that gave you instructions to use the am start command is for the m7. It didn't work because the command isn't leading anywhere on the m8. As for the bootloop, are you sure you flashed the right thing? That is rom is for the Harmon Kardon m8. Can you post a fastboot getvar all (without your serial no and imei)?
no luck

Hey man, it's pretty easy. Download this file http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=9599 it is important that you use this specific file. Don't trip cause it says harman, it's safe to flash on your device.
After you downloaded follow this instructions.
1. Install WinRar, or 7zip.
2. Open the ROM in either of those programs (don't extract, just open it)
3. Navigate to system, then app, and there you will have to drag and drop the 2 files I have attached.
4. Let WinRar or 7zip save the file (It may take a while 7 - 10 minutes) BE PATIENT.
5. Transfer the modded ROM to your phone
6. Flash in TWRP (Make sure you wipe system partition)
7. Reboot to the system, complete the config wizar
8. Follow the steps to unlock (am.start....... etc.)
9. Enjoy
****** I WANT TO POINT OUT THAT S-OFF IS NOT REQUIRED TO SIM UNLOCK YOUR DEVICE ******
I have made a ton of these and NEVER had to S-Off
If you encounter any issues let me know.

Hey my friend. The thing is that the stock rom doesn't bring the 2 apks required to unlock. So you actually have to push them to your phone. The easiest way is to add them to a custom rom to set the permissions automatically. The other way around is to root the phone, put the two files into the system/app folder and then manually set permissions. If you prefer just follow the instructions I sent on my earlier reply.
Cheers!

thank you for your directions. good news Android is back to life again, bad news is that sim is still locked, I tried again from terminal emulator the (am.start....... etc.) but I got an error (please see the attached image). I follow all your steps very carefully, the only thing I had to do differently was that I put your attached files in the zip file using windows zip program and it did take a long time to finish (like 30min) I did try with winrar but it keep creating a new small file with just those 2 files. Is it possible that the 2 files were not added correctly?
Thank you for any advice on how to unlock it
going crazy
update: last night I tried the unlocksim.zip file and installed it on my device with TWRP, and then used the method with the the terminal emulator (am ...) and with the sim unlock helper too, but both send me the vDM client has stopped. I read it could be solved with insert coin system, so I go ahead and installed it, but still get the same message. Any ideas?

Ok, I downloaded the file and installed it, but it freezes at the htc one screen. Is it possible that the firmaware version needs to be updated? other idea: On your #19 you say it is possible to push the 2 files directly once the system is running, is there a way we can try that?
Have you tried wiping system partition before flashing? What version of TWRP are you using?

I reboot and again entering the *#*#4636#*#* menu it appears to be again selected the CDM/EvDO.... option, once again selecting WCCDMA preferred and again nothing. I think it is strangethat after rebooting the system the original band appears again to be selected. I am attaching some images which I think can be some kind of help.
Any clue on how to achieve the unlocking will be much appreciated...

HOW TO get your HTC One M8S back to Factory / stock.
Attention 1: This is NOT for the regular HTC One M8.
Attention 2: This is for the HTC One M8S also known as the M8_QL_UL
(The One M8S does not have a separate subforum on XDA.)
Hi everyone! I saw that many people who have a HTC One M8S have problems with restoring the stock HTC RUU. It is a little bit difficult. So here I'll supply you again with steps that worked for me.
Most of this is a copy from a post I made earlier. But I saw that many of you still have some problems. So here is a dedicated thread.
I have used this method multiple times to restore my phone back to factory defaults. I hope it works for you too!
Warning. You will lose your settings. Everything will be reset to the defaults.
Read these important notes before you begin!
When you need fastboot: only HTC's own fastboot program will work. You will use fastboot, for example, when you want to flash a custom recovery.
Other fastboot applications will not work correctly in my experience! So be sure you use HTC's.
If you need it: HTC will send you a link when you unlock your bootloader. But you can also find fastboot via the same page as where you can find the RUUs.... see below.
Do you have an SDCard ready? You must have one to get this to work and it must be big enough. ADB sideload will NOT work!
Is your phone relocked? It must be! If not, relock it, then come back.
Most of the problems happen because people read too fast. This stuff just takes a long time.. so don't do it if you are in a hurry. And do read carefully.
Are you ready? Ok! Here we go.
Download the RUU zip you want to use. I have used ...HTC_Europe_1.16... BUT later I found this did not allow the newest OTA update (as of august 30th, 2015). Maybe I will test 1.11 some day later.
However, I think that 1.11 is the right version. Not sure where to download the RUU or fastboot? Click the button.
For me, I downloaded the RUU zip via the generous hosting by @El-Conkistador. You can find it via his post here. On his page there is a directory called Firmware (Expert). In there is a directory called Firmware Crypted (Original HTC). In that directory are multiple directories containing RUUs. Choose one for your device, download it, then come back here.
Open your sdcard. It must be fat32 or exFAT formatted.
Copy the RUU zip file onto the root of the sdcard. Do NOT extract it. Just copy it.
You must now rename it to: 0PKVIMG.zip. The first character is the number 0 (zero), not the letter O!
If you know how to do this, take the md5sum from the RUU zip on your computer, and 0PKVIMG.zip on your SDcard. They must be the same! If not, there can be a problem with your SDCard.
Safely unload and remove the SDCard from your computer.
Power off your phone.
Are you sure you want to continue? Then insert the SDCard into the phone..
Take a deep breath..
Boot the phone to the bootloader: hold Volume Down. Press the power button. Release both buttons when you are inside the bootloader.
When you are in the bootloader, press power once to enter fastboot mode.
The restoration process should will now start. Confirm on the screen when it's asked. Then wait patiently, it takes a long time!
Nice detail: there is a small sidebar at the top right side of the screen that will show you progress. Sometimes it will go back to 0; it will fill up more than once.
In case of failure
In my case it failed the first time. Probably because a sector on my SDCard was faulty. I found out by verifying the md5sum of the file on the sdcard, it was not the same as the RUU zip on my computer, but it has to be.
To fix it, I copied the RUU zip to the sdcard for the second time, *then* deleted 0PKVIMG.img, and *then* renamed the RUU zip to 0PKVIMG.zip. Then I looked at the md5sum again. Now it was the same as on my computer... and then the restoration worked.
Still need help?
If you have questions, ask and wait patiently. I am not on this page 24/7, no one is. Just don't panic. Don't demand help. Maybe read this stuff again and see if you made a mistake somewhere.
It is logical that you are annoyed if this stuff doesn't go how you want, sure, it is not the easiest thing to do. I have tried to make it easier, but again, if it still fails, just ask your questions and wait patiently. Treat others like how you want to be treated yourself.
Good luck!

The exact filename of the RUU I used:
Code:
0PKVIM[email protected]50311_15.00_016_F_release_430101_signed.zip
Do you see a few green lines that say "searching for 0pkvimg.zip" when you go to hboot? They disappear pretty quickly.

Is it a fat32 or exfat sdcard? Is the md5sum for 0pkvimg.zip correct? It should be 70eece34781f0b1449f98f03e842f249

i checked and it is fat32 and i still don't get where the md5sum is located and where i should put it .-.
the md5sum is a long string of characters called a checksum. It scans a file and calculates what number it should get. Other types of checksums are SHA-1, SHA-256, RIPE-MD160 and so on.
MD5 is fairly lightweight so that's why we usually choose md5 for files.
md5sum itself is a program that you can run from the command line. If you use linux, it should be on your computer already, so just do 'md5sum 0pkvimg.zip'. On windows, well, you need md5sum.exe and run that from a command line. But I have not used Windows in so many years that I don't know where to find md5sum.exe. I'm sure you can find it easily... I would google for this, but you can do that too so I'll leave that part up to you.
So: you don't put the md5sum anywhere.. you calculate an md5sum and compare it with the number I gave you previously. Hope this makes sense, keep asking if you need more help.
Hi guys,
Im new to all this I just want to ask for little help here my m8s has unlocked bootloader and modified (unofficial) software (says in bootloader)
Im running 5.0.2 soft ver
Soft number 1.16.401.10
Custom recovery TWRP
Phone is rooted but i need to send it back to htc as its dropping calls randomly within 25secs. All i need is the right ruu so its stock again and says relocked (i know how to relock) official soft and that OTAs would work.
Also do i leave this custom recovery there or before the ruu will i put in the stock one, relock the BL and then the ruu?
Any help is much appreciated.

Just relock. The Ruu does the rest! I used 1.11, the exact filename is in my OP. If you have a vendor phone I'm not sure but I think you can still use the same RUU as I have; if not, you will be notified from hboot. Does that answer your question?
Yes thank you.

Tried on windows twice then got a blue screen (on the pc) did the 1.11 on my macbook and phone is now back to official and relocked!
I owe you a pint of beer sir. Thank you!

Great! Glad to hear.
Cyanogenmod is still in the works. I have finally gotten a preliminary version to boot, so to those of you who are interested, head over to the CyanogenMod 12 on M8s thread...
HTC One M8S: Cyanogenmod 12 Discussion
hi all,
I give up, downloaded three zips from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/make-custom-recovery-htc-one-m8s-t3114245
1.03
1.11
1.11 - combined signed
and every time I get error "no image or image wrong....no gift file....loading image 0Pkvidiag.zip - No image! loading 0PKVIDIAG.nbh...no image or wrong image"
...inside the zip file there is no 0PKVIMG.img file so dont realy know what to rename . . .
...yes checked md5 sum and they are OK
...sd card is fat32 (tried copying zip file from two different laptops , no difference)
...Custom recovery TWRP
this is m8s european version which was rooted , fastboot shows now RELOCKED and this images just dont work ,
this phone is giving all sort of issues, no custom roms with updates, SIM_Card error sometimes 10+ times a day causing call disconnections and reboots, cant update to lates htc soft as on custom rom it just dont work.....

Hiya. Ugh I get how frustrating this can be!! But you're close, so we'll get you sorted out. FYI on saturday and sunday I'm not around much (family comes first ), so replies might take me a while... but we'll figure it out.
You need this exact file:
Code:
0PKVIM[email protected]50311_15.00_016_F_release_430101_signed.zip
Copy that to the sdcard and rename it to 0PVKIMG.zip, don't extract it just rename it. The md5sum should be:
Code:
70eece34781f0b1449f98f03e842f249
If that won't work, we need to figure out why. That comes next. :good:

You should use Cyanogenmod, not Pandora. Pandora is old, is not updated, and contains a very problematic security issue with libstagefright. Use cyanogenmod for your own good!
