i'd say no
Since I am into photograghy I can anser this a litlle Many photo software programs have problems with Raw because Sony Raw, Canon raw and Nikon raw etc are all different so it's more the software applications that handle this. if you find one you want to handle something that displayed on your camera type. Just edit your software and save it in jpg format and your good to go..

Hi, just wonder if there any comment about camera fv5? The PNG file generated by this application size are 5x time bigger than the original camera application from Samsung, will it capture much more detail? Or it is just doesn't compress well?
BTW, will there any camera app suggested? Will some possible take RAW format like DNG?
Hi, i'm coming from Windows Phone and the only reason that stopped me from buying a Z3 compact is the camera2 api non-compatibility.
Camera2 apis enables manual focus, white balance, iso, shutter speed and raw support (my Lumia 930 have all of those)
Is this z3+ compatible with Camera2 APIs? You can check from the Manual Camera Compatibility app (by GD software), Lollipop required

Can somebody confirm here that xperia z3+ can capture raw photos? The device comes with camera2 api support but I never heard it can capture raw photos before
Nope, it doesn't. Sony had already confirmed that it support a mode (don't remember the name now), that support all the camera 2 features, except raw capture.

I noticed that I cannot use any third party app to capture RAW photos. I tried Footej Camera, Open Camera, Adobe Lightroom, VSCO, Lumio Cam and everything I could find. I cannot enable raw photos with any of them. Footej support contacted me and told me that they can try to find a workaround from the log file I generated, it seems that this phone does not support Android API. Do you guys have any knowledge about this?
The only app that seems to record some sort of RAW file is Bacon Cam, but this does not have support for the telephoto lens, and all the raw photos with zoom, are actually cropped from the 40 mpx sensor.

Even the stock camera app will not give you a raw file from the telephoto lens. You can't use zoom when you enable RAW in Pro mode.
Thank you, I tried Freed am and unfortunately it does not let me use raw mode, only jpeg.
