I would wait a few more months until the new autumn devices have been announced. perhaps there is a new Nexus device coming up with recent hardware and a budget oriented price?

At the end I have took sgs3 but if my butget was tight i was prepared to take one s
pros:
1. arm15 on board so future proof
2. realy good build quality (even better than sgs3, and I know what I am talking waiting for delivery of otter box comuter case for my sgs3!! )
3. chaper options for monthly rental, at least 5 to 8 pounds a month.
4 nice screen

1 Not samsung
2 not sgs3

If I need to buy this year,I will buy SGS2.
If I will buy next year,I will buy SGS3.
No-matter SGS2 or SGS3 I will buy used phone and in warranty.
Because in my country just warranty 1yeas and new phone must cost me about $700,so I will buy used phone.

So u guys suggesting a strict no to nexus? I live in india here galaxy s2 is i9100g which is not so good for custom rom..dont hav a budget for s3 or even one s..

I was thinking to switch to a Galaxy nexus, but reconsidered. Now I'll wait for the next nexus(es?) mobiles to be announced and probably get that.

i9100g no good for custom rom lol? CM10 nightlies are available for it already, yet i9100 still doesn't have them.

Bolded text is horribly wrong. The i9100G sports the OMAP4 processor, just like the Galaxy Nexus. It's much easier to develop for this particular chipset if compared to the i9100 Exynos chip, and as the previous poster has pointed out, CM10 nightlies are already out for the i9100G but not for the i9100.

Why do you need to upgrade it?
It's funny... even after two years, I haven't found a single phone I'd much rather have than the SGS. Most newer models are just too damn big. The S is the perfect size, and recent software upgrades have made it faster than ever.

Yes the Galaxy S1 is most rom and mods, rather than later, and is still the best.

I love my Galaxy S and I will change it only when it dies.
It still is the best price/performance out there, its size is perfect, it has one of the best sound chips on the market and it has a big list of custom ROMs.

Selling My Galaxy Note (HELP)

As im willing to buy Note 2 which is to be launched today at hyderabad,im selling my galaxy Note.
I just want to know at what rate could i get Galaxy note sold And
Is there a place where i could Exchange my Note with the Note 2 at retail stores in India.

I don't know about places to sell them in India, but look to eBay. I'd say you could sell your Note for about $400 or $450 right now.

Yes, go on samsung Facebook site, and choose upgrade ur new phone topic, but it very less, I recommended you should sell it on ebay or Craigslist for 400-450$ ,

i will buy Note n7000

i will buy a new phone after 2 days and i think to buy note 1 n7000

I auggest go for canvas 4 instead of note 1.
Canvas 4 can easily beat note 1 in daily use performance.
U will see many people over here talking about benchmarks and an tu tu tu which frankly hardly makes any difference in daily usage.
Note 1 with JB is laggy and nobody can prove this wrong.
N same is the case with S2.
Canvas 4 less costly, many features are same except PEN. You will have smart stay, smart pause etc etc.

Go for nexus phone... Samsung nexus or nexus 4...

a7med. Go for the Nexus4. It is made by LG not Samsung. Its better with stock Google android also you get fast updates.

Samsung Tablet Suggestions

So right now i have a regular ipad 2 and i really hate having anything apple so i am looking to get a samsung tablet. What would you guys suggest. I have the S4 right now and its running Sacs Rom which makes it amazing. I like the size of the ipad mini and i was looking at the samsung tablets around that size and i want to know which one you guys would suggest or if there is news of a new one coming out soon.

I don't think I would want to get anything other than Samsung because I love the s4

My suggestion is non branded tab 3 8 in. I bought the Verizon tab 2 7 last Christmas and love it. But The development by devs was lacking compared to non branded.

What is the point of this thread other to hate and start a war? If you don't like Touchwiz, then simply don't buy a Samsung phone. So simple, nobody is forcing you to buy a Samsung phone. End of story, end of thread.
