First of all take a new version of TWRP: https://dl.twrp.me/titan/
2.8.6.0/7.0 is actual, maybe it works better.
Can I update twrp .IMG using an app call flashify?

The error brought there blames the bootloader it not be supported , so it caused the error . even if you install another TWRP , the error will be repeated :good:

Yes.But you can also flash the new recovery directly through TWRP.
Put the recovery on your sd card and for install just choose the ending .img instead of .zip .

Make This tutorial and then try to install the ROM AGAIN With the modified bootloader , you have a bootloader that will not be accepted by any Custom Rom .

Yes, you're absolutely right, he needs at least bootloader 4882 and he has the older version 4807.I should have read the screenshot better.
But a newer TWRP is a good idea nevertheless.

Okay, that was an explaining answer
It is because I saw a site with a guide for rooting the p880, and in the bottom of the site the author of the site has placed a screenshot of rom manager showing it running a version of cwm....

the screenshot doesn't show that cwm is installed ..... only which version from recovery is selected,
you cannot flash a recovery right now via cwm .... but i think it's only a question of time
maybe ther is also a solution to get it onto the device withput unlocking the bl .... who know's
As said in other threads. The Bootloader is signed and encrypted. We can not "yet" flash any custom recovery. Well we can, but the phone will not boot complaining about not verified signature.

Ok. That's the reason then. So there's really no other way to flash stock Rom without it being s-off? It can be any stock Rom odes or deodexed doesn't matter to me.

Hi Everyone, I just want to share this easy steps to root Android L.
Note: Android L is a Developer preview, it is not stable as the KitKat version and it is using ART runtime only, so not all apps are compatible.
Update: The v2.01 release fixes some incompatibility issues with the Android "L" Preview. There is no binary update over v2.00.

I recommend backup all your data/files in a PC, to avoid data loss. And don't blame me if you have a bootloop or stuck at boot logo.
TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Boot into bootloader
For TWRP format cache first
Code:
fastboot format cache
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Boot into recovery
Flash the SuperSU-v2.01.zip
Reboot
You now have root access.

Confirmed. This is working! Nice job!

Everytime I try it says that the TWRP recovery image is too large. Any ideas?
I'm guessing this is the same as the other root method, where it roots your device, but some apps still don't work as root apps?
Titanium Backup is my main concern.

can you still get into recovery like CWM or TWRP? If yes and if someone posted the backup .zip, you can put it in TWRP or clockwokmod in sdcard, and restore it in recovery , that's what I want to do

Not if you ONLY check SYSTEM and BOOT. Then none of your data will be included in the backup. These guys really need a backup - I know they will be extremely grateful if you share your backup with them.

Thanks

The new version of TWRP 3.0.0.1 is able to flash img-files. But every IMG I have flashed was/is available as flashable zip-file.
For N6 you could look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3059493

I've not tried that myself. I would not try flashing N beta, as long there is no PC available to solve issues.
