Hi,
Since Android 4.1 Samsung removed the Task Widget from their S Planner Application.
Is it possible to get it back somehow?
Perhaps we can use the Widget from the Planner which came with Android 2.3.6.

I have a Galaxy S4 and I use S-Voice to create Tasks. They are added to the local db (not to Google and neither to the Samsung account but just local!) but I have no Task Widget. Apparently it was available on other Android version.
I downloaded the apk from aptoide but it does not install. I tried normal installation and tried to remove the original apk from /system/app and replace it with the aptoide one, but it seems it is not installed.
Any suggestion to have a Task Widget for SPlanner tasks?
Many thanks!
So now most of us have got gear manager running on the Nexus 5 / Non Samsung Devices. Has anyone had any success getting the notifications to work? I have notifications on and more notifications on but using the stock notifications app for the Gear, finds no notifications. I also ran a logcat to see if any errors come up when sending notifications like a SMS / skype message through and could not find any errors..
Maybe offer a bounty to get "stock notifications" from Gear Manager?

Someone help me. I reset the gear and now I'm stuck at the screen with the gear telling me to dock the device with the phone. I don't have the note 3, so how can I get this going? Can I root the gear as is or do I have to have access to setting to enable USB debug?

I was stuck in the same situation... only difference I am running a Note 2 with cm11.
I figured out that the version of Gear Manager I had was too old and was my problem. After removing all traces of the older version and updating to 1.5.120903 I was able to successfully pair my devices together and I was then able to get into settings to enable USB debugging and continue the process of installing this fine ROM.
The only thing I am still unable to get working is notifications.
Anyone pair iphone with the gear?
There should be a step by step guide to get gear manager to work with Nexus 5. I installed gear manager stub and gear manager and still stuck at the setup connect.

My NEXUS5 with KITKAT 4.4.2 and GEAR(null_17 ROM)
hi to all, i want to share my experience (sorry for my english, i'm italian)
i have Nexus 5 phone and galaxy Gear(null_17 ROM).
Nexus 5 with KitKat 4.4.2
Galaxy Gear with V700XXUAMK7 with NULL_17 ROM
and watchstyler 1.0.9 (working) with Casio Skin :good:
At first i installed gearmanagerstub.apk
after i just bring "gear manager 1.6 111801.apk" and renamed to "gear manager 1.6 111801.zip"
opened and bring all file in the folder "preinstalledapk"
and run all one by one excepted for "samusic" and "saweather" because fail to installing(but is ok).
after all manual apk installed also installed "gear manager 1.6 111801.apk"
and opened gear manager and start the gear and pairing it. (2 or 3 time but making same test and check and at final running)
if you come from old pairing with other gear manager version example 1.5 or 1.4 etc... just from your sdcard delete the folder ".BManager_backup"
for fix the notification i also installed ATNmanager 1.2.2.apk on the phone, and in the gear i already sended the version of "ATNmanager 1.2.3.1_pre"(only the watch.apk file inside) and i receive all notify on gear by this apps and working fine.
remeber to go in setting->security->allow ATNmanager to read notification
up to now
work:
contact :good:
logs call :good:
gallery :good:
camera(make and send directly to the phone in gallery) :good:
call and receive it. :good:
voice record (record and send on phone, but play with file manager in "sdcard/Sounds/Galaxy_Gear/your recording file"
notification(ATNmanager APP) :good:
no work:
weather :crying:
s voice
For me is a good Result

Notifications solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2596455
Hello.
My gear is set up using Null 23 and Triangulum Kernel 1.0.1
I am using Gear Manager 1.6.132701.
My LG G2 is using android version 4.4.2. It is using a stock rom.
I installed the gearmanagerstub, gear manager, the 21 (19 really) APKs, and I used the Samsung apps that have the touchwiz requirements removed.
The only thing that's working properly is making phone calls using the gear, the camera, and the voice memo.
No notifications are working. SMS isn't working. Samsung Apps shows "No data" on my phone.
I tried to sideload the Gear version of the Kakaotalk app and it isn't showing up anywhere on the gear even though it says it is installed.
I would really like to get SMS notifications to work. I'd also like to get Samsung Apps working. Does anyone know what I may have done wrong?
Edit: I downgraded to gear manager 1.5. The Call Log now works, but notifications still dont seem to work. I'll update with more details later if I get anything working.
Okay, first of all, I'm coming from the Gear 1 to the Gear 2 Neo, and I loved S Health. It appears not to work with my Gear 2 Neo. I have not deleted the Gear 1 stuff off my phone or Gear Manager. I have tried to search this forum and Google, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer as to whether or not the S Health app is compatible. I don't like the look and feel of the Fitness with Gear app. Doesn't seem as robust as S Health. The S5 uses v3.0 and my S4 is stuck on v2.5.5. I guess I'll have to wait until I upgrade to the S5 (that's if they release a rumored S5 prime).

from what I read from another thread its because its only compatible with S Health v3.0 and above.
You can probably install S Health v3.0 from the leaked apk files
I haven't tried though

I have an S4 with the latest S Health and it does not work. More annoying is the steps differ by a large margin (1000 steps) from watch to phone !!!
What the hell is the point of having a fitness watch app that does not even sync or work with your device.
so I got it working with my Note 3.
I uninstalled the old S Health, downloaded a copy of S5's S Health and Health Services.
Rebooted my Note 3, installed both S Health and Health Services.
Then I went to the S Heath's Pedometer app.
Press "Menu Button"
Clicked "Device data to view" and selected Gear Neo
I supposedly have a copy of the S5 baked in with the ROM I'm running and still can't get it to work. I don't have this selection you have.

S-Health 3.0 works with the New NEO, but you can't access your old data.
At least I could not! . . . I found that S Health 2.5/2.6 did not work with the NEO. And the Samsung Fitness app is terrible.
SO I installed the Galaxy S5's S-Health (3.0). That worked on my phone and with my Neo (I have a Samsung S4, I337).
However. With the S-Health 3.0 app, there is no option to restore data. So all of my old S Health Data --months and months of it from just using the S4, is NOT available on the new S Health. All my records now are just since I installed S-Health 3.0. I can't bring my old records forward.
When/if I reinstall the "old" S Health --my old file data can be downloaded via my Samsung account. But that is not an option in S Health 3.0. (If someone does know how to do this --could you please let me know!)
I've attached screenshots on the step by step on how to get it to work.
I hope you guys can get it to work.

I found it by searching XDA and found one dated 4/27/14 along with HealthService apk, both for the S5. I turned off (essentially uninstalled) S Health on my S4 and installed first the healthservice apk then S health and after setting the pedometer to track my device, it is working beautifully.

Exactly, on the S4, I could only turn off the old one, which essentially uninstalls it. I am rocking version 3.1 with my Gear 2 Neo and loving it. Glad I decided to risk it.
I just want to say that ofc it is just going to work with the S5s S-health to begin with, samsung wants to sell their new phone and not the S4 or S3. I am sure that when sale pan out abit we will see S-health 3.0 on S4 also.
Tho i do agree its anoying to not be able to get the steps and calories synced between fitness and health.

I found after doing this three times (due to reflashing my S4), that if you install the Service APK and then the SHealth 3.0 APK, as you go through the intial setup it asks to update SHealth (think to 3.1), then you get the extra sync menu (i.e. which data to view).
If you get it wrong the update to 3.1 does not occur and it does not sync.
Saying that the 3rd time around it works fine and is supposedly syncing with my Neo, but my Neo is showing 1400 steps, the S4 is showing 400 steps, its sync's fine but the data is wrong.
I do not know why the option does not exist to just make your phone the master, as in reality a phone in the pocket near the waist will give a more accurate step reading that a watch that is constantly waving as you move your hand.
I have the 3.1 apk and it works well, but if you soft reset (reboot) your phone, it will erase everything in S Health and ask you to set it up again. Anyone else who has got it working on their S4 found this too?
Yep same issue, in the end I went back to the standard size health on my S4.
I got an update for it today, it recognises the S4 and fitness syncs but only the HRM not steps ???

Yesterday i got an update to both Fitness with Gear and S-Health (original one for S4) and it now say "Connected to fitness with gear" on the main menu in S-Health, my steps still differ between the clock and the phone (fitness vs S-Health) but atleast it seems that there are some syncing between the two apps.
As I said, both apps are the ones intended for the S4. (version 2.5.5.051 for S-Health and version 1.3.01.0521 for Fitness with gear)

Same for me. I have both the apps updated to the same versions, and still S Health cannot sync with Gear 2 Neo. Anyway, the only news is that S Health currently shows my Gear Neo within the connected stuff, but if I try to push the configuration button S Health totally stops working and resets, while synchronization is never possible. Samsung developers really suck (or simply they are pushing us towards the S5, and I do not like this at all).
Hey everyone,
I just got a Galaxy Gear 1 and updated it to Tizen. I paired it with my HTC One, and everything works fine, but I'd like to get a few more apps for the gear, maybe a calculator and a weather app or something. I searched google, but I can't find a place I can download Tizen apps or wgt files without using the gear manager, which doesn't give me an option to download apps on my non samsung phone. So my question is obviously where can I get these apps?
In the gear manager app on your phone there is an selection for gear apps, you may need to set up a Samsung account.
