Error while searching for networks - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm having the problem that, although the mobile networks icon is turned on, my phone can't connect to any Network operator and instead it shows me the message " Error while searching for networks" when I try to search for them.
I have already flashed the stock lollipop firmware and CM 12.1, but the problem doesn't disappear.
Has anybody encountered this problem, or know that I should do to solve it?
Any help appreciated!
My current os:
Build number: cm_titan-userdebug 5.1.1 LMY48G d4581317ff test-keys
Kernel version: 3.4.42-g46e9a65

I am having the same problem. Can anyone get the answer.

Wi-fi Error and Unknown MAC Address?

Hello guys, I just "bought" a Milestone from a friend and I'm having a problem. Don't matter what ROM or Kernel when I try to activate Wi-Fi the phone starts to act VERY slowly and sometimes stops to work. In airplane mode my Milestone works OK. I tried a lot of apps but nothing worked. I saw this post, but when I tried to copy the file from the phone to the SD to check, it said that doesn't exist, also my MAC Address is "unknown". I talked to my friend and he said that the issue started to happen after he started trying to use Toggle 2G/3G.
Another thing that I saw is in my RSD Lite screen, it doesn't show everything (I can see my IMEI in the "about" screen).
Android Version: 2.3.5
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
ROM: CyanogenMOD 7.1.1 RC14
Build:R.U.R.1920
Sorry about my english.
i still need help.

[Q] Wifi Problem with Android 2.3.5 on Captivate

Hi Guys,
I upgraded to 2.3.5 ( Baseband I897UCKJ2 ), everything works great except the Wifi. Wifi does work, but the problem is once I move out of the current network ( as in when I go to home after work ), it says it is still connected to the work network and doesn't get connected to home network automatically. So, I have to reset WiFi every time. Any help or fix to this would be a great Help!
Please let me know if you need any other information.
Thanks in Advance ,

Give the app "Fix My WIFI" a try, you can find it in the market. Seems to have helped out on my reconnection issues, which were the same as yours, although I am running 2.3.4. From what I can tell, it will automatically reset the wifi when a valid connection point is available.
I had the same problem on KJ2. Try updating to KJ3; that solved it for me
+1 for KJ3

[Q] Issue on CM 10.0 Wi-Fi (Not authenticating/obtaining ip adress)

Hi, sorry if there's already a topic about this specific issue, couldn't find any.
Now, as the title says, I'm having problem to connect on Wi-Fi network. I have a Galaxy S (GT-I9000B) running on CyanogenMod 10.0 (ICS 4.1.2) since 3 weeks.
Everything was fine when it started, 3 days ago. I can find the network but can't connect into it. It keeps looping on "Authenticating/Obtaining IP Adress".
Today morning I checked my phone and it was connected on Wi-Fi, so I thought the problem was solved, now it is not working anymore.
So far I tried: restarting; "forgetting" the wi-fi and connecting manually/by wps; wipe cache..
Anyone have an idea on how can I fix it?
Model Number: GT-I9000B

Thanks in advance

Can't connect to WIFI networks (wifi/wlan problems)

Hi,
I can't connect to any WIFI networks with my SAMSUNG Galaxy Mini II (GT-S6500T). Now I tried for the first time a custom ROM (CM 10.1 Improved 07/07 build) but it doesn't work neither. I can see the networks and the phone is trying to connect but something goes wrong... (Password is correct. I tried many networks.)
Maybe somebody have got an advice for me?
I will attach a log file.

First try to remove your networks from phone, turn off wifi , turn on and try to connect; it happens some times , reset/restart your router, and remove your wpa/wpa2 security to see if it connect!

[Q] Note 3 issues, no wi-fi?

I just purchased a new (used) Note 3 and am about ready to pull my hair out in frustrating. There are a few issues with it:
1) It won't connect to wi-fi, I can't even get it to turn on. It just sits there and says "Turning on...." but never does.
2) It has a horrible signal. I got it to make a phone call...once, that's it. My galaxy note gets a decent signal out here in the sticks, not this note 3.
3) I can't update it, at all. I thought some of the problems could be related to firmware vers. But, when I click on software update it says " Dm initialization not ready. Check network or sim card".
I have checked the IMEI on it and it appears clean. I'm wondering if the issues are due to it rooting? I can't check to see if it has been rooted or not because I have no wi-fi to get the apps. I can't update anything without the wi-fi working. It's frustrating. I have also tried a hard factory reset and I have wiped cache clean. After reading, I have considered sticking another firmware on it to see if that fixes the issue, but I'm seeing a lot of conflicting information about it.
Here are my phone specs:
Device Model: Samsung-SM-N900A
Android version: 4.4.2
Baseband version: N900AUCUCNC2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-722276 [email protected]#1
Build Number KOT49H.N900AUCCUCNC2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
