I had an issue with my touch screen and tried multiple ROM's attempting to fix the touch screen bug and had no luck and ended up bricking my device I am trying to unbrick it but am unable to do so as my device has no juice and it will just not charge like it just stays at 0% on the battery screen or just stays at Battery Low on fastboot please help me I really need to get my phone working again as I am stuck with a terrible $50 replacement that cannot even run youtube without lag and has problems when trying to message friends and family.
Please tell me that you flashed each ROM on a full charge. You mention very little detail to what steps you took prior to this problem.

Sorry about the slow response I have been having problems with power because of a storm. I have installed each rom with at least 80% charge so there should be no problem with that, sorry I can't remember the steps I took trying to flash the last rom but I'm pretty sure it was an original rom so just guessing simple steps through bootloader, the problem is I need charge to be able to reflash a new rom. (the message I get "failed to validate system image Fastboot Reason: Fall-through from mot-charger boot mode" so it wont let me charge )
In some rare occasion while using multi ROM I had problem with battery dropping from 80 to less than 20% and stayed long time (half day) in that low battery state, solution for me was to turn off the phone, let it couple of second off and plug the charger. Sometimes if i did that after the drop starter the charging process starter where it was before

i'm sure theres a forced boot method of plugin into a wall charger with dead phone and holding power button for 2+ mins or something like that - this erases user /data caches to allow fone to try to reboot from scratch - will look it up
---------- Post added at 08:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:08 PM ----------
read this about forced booting try this then try below
this is how to force reset / wipe like I said WALL charger plugged in and hold power for 120 seconds +

So for the last week or so my phone will only charge (either from USB or AC) after a reset. If I unplug my phone from the charger, plug it back in and then check the charge status it says "not charging." Once I reboot the phone it charges without any problem.
I have been running DeCrap since day 1 with the phone with no probs, and I switched over to Revolt 1.4 over the weekend. I am tempted to switch back to the stock ROM and head to VZW to see what they say.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Where does it say not charging? In about phone or just the icon?
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
It says not charging under battery status in the about phone menu. If you also look at the battery use menu it still shows as unplugged there too.
when you switched from ac to usb, did you use the same usb cable? I'd try a different cable, if that doesn't work flash back to another rom, if that doesn't work, go stock .....all else fails, warranty it with vzw
mt...ya think fixing permissions or clearing the dalvik/cache would help?
I have tried a variety of cables and tried charging from my PC, car and outlets... It needs a reboot everytime to start charging.
Like I said before, it started doing this within the last week or 2 and I had been running decrap since it came out in July.
I have wiped the dalvik/cache a few times. I might try to reset the battery stats and see if that helps.

OK, for fun I reset permissions in CWM and still won't charge after reinserting the cable.

Did it start after flashing revolt or before? Did you wipe data when flashing revolt?

It started before flashing to Revolt.

I don't see any mention of removing the battery and re-inserting it. I have 2 batteries with an external charge/dock so I am constantly moving the battery around. I'm wondering if there might be some sort of connection issue. At times, when I replace the battery, I can't get the phone to power on. If I remove the battery for a quick second and place it back it, I can power up.

Pulling the battery has had no effect. One interesting thing I just noticed, if I pull the plug out with the phone off and reinsert it will continue to charge with the phone off.
Once I boot up, I can not charge once I remove the plug and reinsert it.
I am going to try a different battery later today to see if that helps.

Have you tried a data wipe?
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
Yeah,
I have wiped data, cache, dalvik, battery stats... individually and at the same time. I think I am going to try to load the stock rom and see what happens...
I am trying to get my hands on a friends batt to see if it is a battery issue as well.
So, I tried two other batteries... no go.
I reflashed with the the stock LG rom... no go.
I called VZW... new phone will be here on Wed. I hope it still has V4 on it to make rooting and getting back to where I was a little easier. Thanks to everyone for all the advice. In the meantime, I guess I'll be stuck using the stock Revo until my new phone gets here on Wed afternoon...

What u think is this software or Hardware problem
perhaps this is due to condensation on micro usb port . Try cleaning it by rubbing alcohol using paper strips.

Try a different charger first before anything else.
I left the battery goes down and when reach 15% usb plugged desappear,
the strange is that the status of the battery was over voltage.
Now i will charge it and what will happen, may be is soft problem.
10x guys for the advices
Hello everybody.
I'm facing the same kind of problem since 2 or 3 days ago. I first flashed Speedmod Kernel. I fund battery life was poor compared to stock kernel.
After checking cpuspy, i saw that my phone no longer goes into deep sleep. At that time i thougt i was facing the deep sleep problem people talking about (never had problem before).
But after trying some things, i figured out that my phone always indicate that the usb charger is pluged in. Or more precisely, it's like the charger is continuously pluged then unpluged. Even when the phone is shut down. Under 10% battery it stops, and at 100% too. But after a few minutes, when the battery goes to 99% the problem reappears.
I wiped the phone, did av clean GB install, then a ICS XXLRK install, but the problem persists....
Time to send the phone back to samsung ?? (real bad, i love this phone)
If underwarranty, yes. Get it fixed by samsung. If they refuse because for example you bought the phone in a different country (this was my case) search for usb port for n7000 on ebay. Costs 20 bucks, comes with tools and takes less than 10 minutes to replace. 9 screws and you are done. This is what I had to do.

Actually there is even cheaper one based in the usa. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for the part from hk
Hi,
I've experienced this 3 times as of now. My phone is always on stamina mode. with a stock, rooted and locked bootloader 4.3 [.266] rom.
I got the triple nandroid back ups (i think they are CWM, TWRP, TWRP touch, but can't tell for sure).
Whenever my phone got drained because i can't find a place to charge it, I can't charge it afterwards.
Even if I leave it in the charger for a day, it still won't charge.
What I get is a red LED light. I tried everything, and somehow, after doing all of the thing for about 2 days, it gets working again. I just want to know if there is a tested solution to this. Here are the scenarios:
1.)
>> battery drained (unit turned off)
>> use wall charger to charge it
>> turns on, but in constant boot loop (with the moving colors boot animation on the screen)
>> take it off the charger
>> reset if with the reset button on the back
>> WON'T go in boot loop, but instead, I get a blank screen with the red LED light of death
2.)
>> battery drained (unit turned off)
>> use wall charger to charge it
>> screen is blank, with red LED light of death
Some insights:
Mind you, I tried everything I could think of just to get into recovery mode (hold button volume up/down or camera, with or without power button), since when I'm in recovery mode, I can leave it there and it WILL charge.
I tried to connect it to the PC to know if there are any difference, I open FLASHTOOL so i can see what is happening.
>> upon connecting to the usb, the device is detected. LED turns on. LED light is red (bright)
>> after half a second, the device is disconnected. Simultaneously, the LED turns off for a split second and turns back on with a red LED light (dimmer than before)
I tried to leave it for hours on charger while RLLOD(red LED light of death). So normally, the battery should be full right? WRONG!!
>> after pulling the device off the charger, THE RLLOD PERSISTS!!! I wait for about 10 minutes or more so that the device will turn fully of (no RLLOD). So it gives me the impression that the battery is not charged AT ALL.
>> using the reset button on the back (hold it down for more than a minute) DOESN'T do anything (when RLLOD is up and device is pulled out of charger). it should turn off but it doesn't. ,,|,,
>> so in the end, I have to waint until RLLOD dies down.
The xperia sp, when fully drained and won't even go in the starting boot sequence. If you try to turn it on (by using power button), it will just give you 2 quick RED LED pulses, and nothing will happen. Here is a curious case when charging it with PC:
>> When pulled out from charger (in RLLOD), and after waiting for the RLLOD to die down, flashtool (or the PC itself) won't detect the device if connected IF you didn't try to turn it on (of curse the 2 red pulses will happen) PRIOR to connecting it to PC (so: disconnect > try to turn on > reconnect to PC).
There might be things I forgot to include, please ask for more details, I just really want this to go away.:crying::crying:
Offline charging doesn't work when CWM is installed. (would appreciate if any1 knows if there's a way to get it working?) btw chargemon is the file you need for offline charging.

In my understanding, you can stil charge your battery regardless whether offline charging is enabled or not... anyone?
You probably should read the threads and use the search.
I had same problem. Just flash DooM kernel via fastboot. I will link post in a moment.

If you have recoveries installed just pug the charger and enter one recovery and leave it charge until 10%, then reboot
thank you

Hi antkalaitzakis96
This is exactly what I'm trying to do on my xperia sp. On cyanogenmod 11 by FXP, and no idea how to enter recovery on it to let my phone charge. Tried posting there to ask, but XDA won't let newbies post in Dev forum.
Can anyone please advise?? Greatly appreciated
Guys, my phone is now on =)
I just do the things as before, I trried and tried to no avail, so I gave up.. I just let it on the charger, and after sleeping, It is now on =)... but still, there should be some definitive solution to this,..
I had exactly the same problem as you guys. Letting it plugged in all night didn't help so this morning I plugged it in my computer hoping to connect in fastboot mode and on the 3rd it worked. I flashed NayakKernelv0.3 so I could enter CWM using volume buttom. My phone is now charging in cwm.

yup.. post it please. upon reading here, I'm fairly sure that there are definitive way to bring back offline charging on 12.1.A.1.201 stock root LB. So it would be really helpful if we can bring back offline charging or at least be able to charge even after battery is drained flat. =)
hello,
I have a problem, been playing with lollipop lately, worked fine till I experienced my first sudden switch off and now the phone won't start until it's connected to the usb charger or the dock, once I unplug it it goes off instantly or after a few seconds and can't boot properly (it tries and switch off after a few secs...)
I tried to flash other roms and factory reset , nothing changes...
(i had an issue with the phone being drained entirely and tried to boot several times)
what is strange is that when I'm in recovery it won't stop that way.
what do you think?
I have the same problem!
I am running C6603, Unlocked bootloader, Twrp latest, and cyanogenmod 11 4.4.4
Does anyone know of any kind of solution to this so called " battery bug"?
Sometimes when I use nandroid app to boot into recovery, then reboot to system from twrp (while connected to charger), after adroid has booted I can then only disconnect charger and the phone will stay on for 10min or more if not used. Accessing camera app phone dies immediatly... Seems like as soon as the phone requires more power from the battery the phone dies instantly...
I also used a battery drain app after following reboot steps above and tried running the app while phone was disconnected from charger... As soon as i choose vibrate, cpu or blutooth phone restarts imediatly. While only selecting brightness option phone will stay on for 1 - 5 mins before going off.
Hopefully someone has found a solution or work around... Fingers crossed..!
---------- Post added at 10:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:51 PM ----------
Oh and one more thing....
While in twrp touch recovery i can use the phone while disconnected from charger.
Only when i try doing a backup in twrp (more power usage required once again) the phone dies.
Hope this helps?
Hello,
my HTC start to act weird so I did factory reset. After a few day Sense start to act weird again so I did reset again.
After few day of trouble I decided to install James rom, but my phone was not rooted. So I start to do that from Desire 500 root manual from this forum, but my phone turn off and now I can`t turn it on.
When charger is conected there is orange blinking light, like battery is drained out and I try to leave phone for all night and day on charger and nothing. Then I remove batery and charge it with shock charger in service shop. When I put battery back, all is the same. There is no way to get into fastboo. Can I do something and what to make my phone work?
Please help a friend in need
