[Q] OTA Question

Hey guys so I searched the OTA questions posted in this forum but I didnt find what I was looking for.
I have an unlocked bootloader. I recently replaced my custom recovery with the stock one and then I flashed the ERD79 stock rom. Now, from what I read this procedure restores your phone to the original shipping image and therefore I should be good to receive OTAs, right ? But I didnt see anything pop-up for a day..system update said my phone is up to date. So I manually flashed the latest stock rom which I believe is FRG83. I dialed *#*#2432546#*#* and it said checkin succeeded. I did the same thing when I flashed ERD79 and I got the same response but I never received a notification for an update.
Im wondering if I will get an OTA for the latest gingerbread update or will I have to manually flash that too? Im wondering if unlocking the bootloader disables OTAs. Didnt google say people who unlock their phones will still receive OTAs? Do I have to do more to enable OTAs?
Thanks a bunch!
Nobody seems to get OTA's at the moment, no problem with doing it manually and having an unlocked bootloader has no baring on your ability to receive them.
Ok I just read somewhere that the servers are down Hopefully that is the reason why I didnt get anything. Thanks for the quick response

Has anyone received the update yet?

Doesnt mention Eye Ex. But it says Google security so i guess its 4.4.4
I have yet to receive it. But I am constantly pushing the check update button
☝same here
The HTC Software Updates page shows that the Eye Experience update for the Sprint variant is currently in the certification stage. I don't think we'll get it until a day or so.

EDIT: For some reason, the 3.30.651.2 update info was removed from the Sprint Update page.
that is weird
Good news guys! OTA will be rolling out later on tonight!

Take a look through the thread in the link below. You'll need to reinstall the stock Android system recovery before you can take the OTA, and also need to be running a stock rooted ROM. However, since you're S-off you can install the newest firmware and then install a ROM based off the latest update. Beats having to go back to stock and re-root your phone

[Q] How to install Lollipop?

So I just bought the XT1068 and I know that the L update is still not released in India so how can I flash it instead of waiting for the OTA? Any step-by-step guides would be helpful because I am quite the noob. My phone is brand new, just removed out of the box so please tell me how to flash the update.

Mate, I'd hold on a bit if I were you . You have to unlock your bootloader to flash these ROMs. Unlocking means losing your warranty (special case in India :crying. And there's also tiny bugs in those ROMs.

It all depends - while I will leave the research up to you, I was able to update without unlocking the bootloader on an xt1064. The trouble is that all the pieces have to fall into place correctly, meaning that you have to have the right update file for your build (and YOUR device - xt1068). My update process was haphazardly documented here. Basically, I started out with a carrier locked (Consumer Cellular) version of the phone, running their specific build. I unlocked the phone's sim lock via online vendor, flashed over the latest factory firmware I could find at the time (21.11.23.titan_retuaws). from there, I installed the specific update to go from 21.11.23 to 22.21.25 (where I am now). but that's the kicker - you need the OTA files that correspond to your exact build(s) and there may be more than one to get you all the way up to current.
Anyway, I did all of this using official, signed OTA files and firmware and more importantly, with a locked bootloader.

Sunshine Unlocked AT&T XT1097... What Next???

Recently purchased an AT&T XT1097. It was on Android 4.4.4 which I temp rooted with Kingroot and then bootloader unlocked using Sunshine. I'd like to upgrade to 5.1 so I haven't bothered yet with rooting or installing a recovery. Frankly, I'm a wee bit confused by the information I've found in numerous threads on this and other sites simply because it seems the AT&T and Verizon versions of the Moto X 2014 are problematic to work with.
Does having my bootloader unlocked at this point mean that any root method will work on the device? I believe flashing should be a non issue at this point (because the bootloader is unlocked) but will it also allow me to downgrade to 4.4.4 or 5.0.2 if I am not pleased with 5.1? Is using TWRP a good idea or would it be best to manually flash images thru fastboot (which I couldn't do without clear instructions)?
On a related note my device initially reported an available OTA system update but since unlocking via Sunshine I haven't had the notification return. MDM also doesn't see an available update. Is this due to Sunshine or left over vestiges of Kingroot despite having done a FDR?
Further update...
With no replies to my questions I've taken it upon myself to try a few things. Figured out that MDM will not see an available update unless the device can connect with AT&T via wifi at which point it tells me that an update is already in progress because the OTA is downloading to the device. I would prefer to download and flash the full image via MDM but it is refusing to do so. I'm assuming that this may be because the update the phone wants to install is now considered an interim update (5.0.2) and the full image has been pulled from Motorola's or AT&T's servers.
I have been able to successfully root 4.4.4 but have since removed it in the expectation of updating the device shortly. I have also been able to boot a TWRP image in the hopes of doing a backup before making any significant changes but the device becomes unresponsive to touch commands at the write protect warning screen. Any ideas???

Question Can't get OTA updates after relocking bootloader?!

Hello guys
I had previously unlocked the bootloader with MI Unlock (the official way), so I lost the ability to receive OTA updates.
So I tried to relock the bootloader with MiFlashTool in order to be able to receive these updates again, but after 7 minutes, the flashing process ended with an error (Flash Timeout), then my device got stuck in fastboot mode, so I relocked it again by clicking the .bat file (cleanall_lock) inside the ROM itself.
This time everything worked fine and the device booted up successfully, but I still can't receive OTA updates!.
My device is Sweet global
Flashed ROM: 13.0.16.0.SKFMIXM
Update available: 13.0.18.0.SKFMIXM
I really want to receive updates OTA
Anyone can help please?

It should not have been closed, the update is not released at the same time, it will come sooner or later. Patience.
