Best IR Remote app?

Hey guys, I've been trying to find the best IR remote app lately and I'm not finding what I'm looking for. I usually just use the stock TV app which works okay, and just recently I got the Smart IR Remote for HTC One and it's nice looking, has some good features. Mainly, I'm looking for an app that works like a harmony remote does. So I press "Watch TV" and it turns every thing on that is needed and changes the inputs to what they need to be on.
Does anyone know of an app like this? It would be great! I could totally eliminate my Harmony Remote for good!

Not sure if it works with it but Logitech released a harmony app. Search harmony in the play store

Yeah I saw those, they only work with their Harmony Connect hardware or Harmony Link hardware.

Do you recommend Smart IR Remote for HTC One? I like the stock one but I don't want any of the channel or guides as I don't any of those services where I live.
Can you make Smart IR Remote for HTC One to learn commands from other remotes? I want to use the One for controlling my AC units in the house as well

I don't think it's possible hardware-wise. HTC One doesn't have an infrared receiver. It's only got a transmitter. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You're wrong, it's the S4 that can't learn codes. The stock and Smart IR can both learn codes, and from what I've heard Smart IR does have amazing support.

The stock TV app does learn codes. I'll give Smart IR a try.

[Q] issues with Runtastic

Hello,
I dont post much so yell at me if you need to.

I have runtatstic pro and I have installed it in samsung apps store.
when I go to open runtastic pro on Neo it opens splash screen and opens runtastic on phone but does not advance any farther.
I have contacted runtastic support and its pretty much a dead end.
Can anyone help on this or can confirm its working on the gear 2 neo?

On a side note I can open Trainr, Gear2cam, Hotbit, and others just fine.

Do you have runtastic or runtastic pro on your phone?
I've successfully logged runs with it in a g2 neo, doesn't use the inbuilt heart rate though so I had to use the in built running app in the background as well but you can start that and then switch to runtastic and it keeps track in the background

Not sure why it wouldn't work then, the only difference between your setup and mine is the phone. Maybe something to do with a non stock rom? But seems strange that it's only one app.

from what i know, the app doesn't work. I've tried it with my g2neo + s3 and I got the same: stuck at logo on g2 and app started on s3. This happens to all (or almost) who have tried it

Runtastic pro mountain bike work just fine on my gear 2 neo

When I click on the app on my Swatch immediately my phone shows a dialogue : which app I should open and they choose mountain bike ? I noticed and that's the normal runtastic app doesn't work but in other hand the mountain bike work perfectly I wish they can enter grades the heart rate monitor sensor with this app

I don't think it's chromecast app that will allow us to cast screen but Google play services.

Someone know if it works on Xperia Z or Z2?

Anyone get an unsupported device to work yet? I have a note 2 running stock rooted 4.4.2 but I don't get the cast screen option.

Xperia Z2 is good with Tizen.
Works with my new Xperia Z2, get notifications, email, and even the photos on the gear auto transfer to my un rooted bare Z2.
The only downer is no samsung apps and watch styler, well watch styler does install on my Z2 but wont push app to me gear 1!

Ive read as much as i can and i cant find ought.
Before i upgraded to Tizen i had it rooted and used the Null ROM.
It was pretty easy then.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.:good:

Not yet. There are talks about people working on it but so far it is not possible.

This would make me want to keep my Gear Neo if we could use Google Now. I keep going back to my LG G Watch because Google Now works so much better than S-Voice. I like the hardware of the Neo, just not the software

Do all of the hardware items still work like the remote control and health options?

In the latest builds, the hardware works. All that doesn't work is having phone conversations on the Gear and the photo gallery.
I really wish we could dual boot between the two. I like features of both and neither has any particular thing that'll keep me from the other.

I will have to try it. Do you have a link to where I can get the instructions and download information?
