How do I prevent nav bar from overlapping? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

I enabled the nav bar via build prop and in most apps it works with no issues but in snapchat it covers the bottom of the app so I can't press in the text field to type. Is there any way around this?

Maybe stop using snapchat? (Joke)

ADW.Launcher disable auto-hide

I'm probably just missing something, but where is the option to disable the auto-hide of the notification bar when on the home screen?
Much thanks!
I didn't know there was an auto hide, but if you go to adw settings > screen preferences > hide status bar, you can enable or disable.

also, in older versions a up swipe gesture automatically hid the notification bar. I think they got rid of that as a default though.

It seems like this is what I was doing with my notification bar. I have the latest version though, so this might still be default. Thanks!

There is no real auto-hide.... either show or hide.
Under screen preferences... first option.
Also.... change your swipe up to something else if that what is causing it to hide.

[Q] Nav and stat bar translucency

Is there a way to force apps to look like this for the bottom and top bar with Xposed?

I don't think so. But there are apps which can force the status & navigation bar dissappear (like immersive mod) if you are interested.

I was hoping for a different answer
Tinted Status plugin and build.prop wont help? Is the translucency part of the app?

I don't know :|. . Basically it will force the bars to pull down and you can bring them back with swipe(it's more like full screen with instant access to the bars) . (you activate the feature from power menu)
I hope that I helped

Yes you can. There's an Xposed module called force kitkat traslucent bars os something like, however I have tested it and disabled. Yes apps look awesome, but the problem is that as the bars become traslucent, the app doesn't detect they are there, what makes it impossible to press some buttons and creates some inconsistency on the notification bar. In my opinion even though it looks much better than black bars, I wouldn't enable it because of functionality, but it's up to you, you should try and see if it is worth

Nav bar question

I have noticed some apps the nav bar disappears amd I have a full screen viewing experience. Others do not. Is there any way to force other apps to run with a hidden nav bar without rooting?

Yes it does indeed hide the nav bar on the programs you want it to but it has many undesired side effects. Mainly, not being able to call up the keyboard when needed after clicking a text entry point. You have to swipe up to expose the Nav bar and then it will show. Also, some games won't even launch unless you first swipe up the nav bar to launch game. Also if you are using a custom launcher, and you use a dock with a folder editor program, the shortcuts will not appear until you swipe up the nav bar. Some programs like Pandora and Maps do not display correctly and will be distorted until you expose the Nav bar. I have had the Pro version for months and the developer has not offered any update to it at all, so buyer beware. Cheap enough not to be to upset but it's not a perfect solution.

hide nav bar

I was wondering if any one knew how to hide the nav bar when the keyboard was open. Where it really bothers me the most is when I'm texting.

You can use Systemui tuner app, from playstore, there is an option "inmersive mode", you choose navigation bar, and the nav bar will ALWAYS hide, even in home screen, but for this app to work, you need to grant permissions with ADB, the app itself guides you for doing it, look at this:

That doesn't work. It still shows when the keyboard is open
Well, I use AI type keyboard, the nav bar appears below the keyboard, and the back arrow in nav bar changes to a down arrow to hide the keyboard, I find this as a good implementation, the nav bar does not overlay the keyboard, or you just donot want to see it?

I just now spoke with Samsung about this. Apparently, they've heard about this issue and will address it in a future update.

It's a good practice to read the description, not just download stuff. So you don't have to ask unnecessary questions.

Screen Recording Without a Navbar

So I turned off my Galaxy Note 8's navbar, doing so I lost the ability to screen record games from the navbar. Is there anyway I can get this feature back without the Navbar? Thanks in advance. (More specifically I'm talking about Game Tools)
I'm using game launcher on mine and my nav bar stays hidden. But the record function is there whenever I have a game open just have to swipe up from the bottom..

I'm using the Tigerhoods overlay which disables the navbar, I can't swipe up or anything. I know what your talking about but I sadly can't do that since I don't have the navbar anymore.

You can't remove the overlay to get it back? Only thing I'm using on mine is substratum to theme what I need to.

I have bxactions installed and for some reason it messes with the navigation bar on my phone. That's why I can't reinstall the navigation bar. It doesn't work well with bxactions.
