Hey,
Is there any good app which can count outgoing calls and SMS. I have a postpaid connection with limited free Calls & SMS. I just need to track so that I don't exceed my bill. Calls should be counted only after the call has been picked up & not while ringing.
Any suggestions based of experience would be helpful. Tnx

I occasionally seem to be missing calls while I'm already in a call. I live in a 3g area, and have had this issue occur on multiple occasions (with confirmed 3g reception). I only found out that I had missed the call, when the person calling just happened to leave a voice mail. Other than the voice mail, there was no indication of the call I had missed. There are times that I receive the incoming call (notification) just fine, however. Any clue as to why this function isn't working reliably?
Might just be your SIM. Try replacing it. Make sure you also have full call waiting services to your mobile.
Which ROM and Radio are you using? Someone with knowledge of either or both may be able to provide some help.
Do incoming calls get charged, also do incoming texts get charged?
yes they do. sprint charges you to send and receive international txt. i really wish thy had a plan.
you do need to call them first though to enable that ability.
I am leaving Texas and going to Europe for the next 2 months. If I turn my mobile data off and connect through wifi, can I receive and send texts and phone calls while in London without incurring roaming charges from Sprint?
Alternatively, if I just turn off my phone and not use it at all, can I still send and receive text messages from my Google Voice account online without incurring fees? Thank you so much I really appreciate the help!
Another option is skype - but I have no idea how to use it. I'd rather use GV if it will work!
you must have internet connection to use Google voice. for US and Canadian users only.
you should be able to use anywhere when you already have GV account on internet.

I'll be studying abroad so should definitely have wifi access. Can I receive calls via GV too?
Text and voicemail should work, but voice calls wont. You could find a SIP Voip Service that works Android, then forward GV to that number. Otherwise you can make voice calls to other google talk users for free in that app.
Ok. So if I understand correctly, I can send and receive texts while connected to wifi for free. Voice calls I am going to install skype app and make skype to skype calls for free.
That correct? THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS!

That's how I've done it
I just got back from Toronto, ON and while I was there I needed my phone but didnt want to pay the outrageous roaming charges. So what I did was
Got a Mobilicity Unlimited plan (Special ATM $25, Unlimited province calls, data and text), All you really need is a plan with atleast unlimited (or enough) incoming calls, and a good amount of data. Depending on where you are going, Mobilicity, or Wind Mobile might be a good choice,. if you are visiting a Populated Canadian city.
Next since Google Voice calling (using plan minutes, not Groove IP style) does not work in Canada directly, I got a Skype Number(must be a US number) and unlimited US and Canada calling plan
Now I set this new Skype number to forward calls to my Mobilicity number in Canada (local 647 area code Toronto Number)
I then added my U.S.A Skype number to my Google Voice account.
Next I installed this app on my phone Voice+ (Google Voice callback) , this app basically uses Google Voice, to process a call, but it first rings your number that you set, then when you answer it calls the number you wanted to call.
So what is happening here is,
You dial a number on your phone, the Voice callback app intercepts the request
Voice callback app uses Google Voice to ring your skype number
The Skype number than forwards the call to your Local number from the country you are in.
You then answer the call (will show your google voice number.
Once you answer it would dial and call the number you first requested. It takes else than 10 seconds to be on the phone ringing the number you want.
,
People can also reach you by calling your google voice or skype number (and if they are in the US it would save them long distance charged). If they call those it will forward and ring your new local country number
Than of course you can use Google Voice to text as well.
Some might say, why not just get a data plan and use Groove IP. While that could work, you need a fast and reliable data connection for that to work, this method uses your actually plans minutes not data to call. If you are going to be on wifi the majority of the time and don;t constantly need your phone Groove IP or similar might be a better idea.
I just thought I would share this for all those who might be interested. This was very handy while I was visiting. And could theoretically work in any country that you get a plan with atleast unlimited(or enough) incoming calls (i have seen plans with limited outgoing, but unlimited incoming calls, and a good amount of data (for texting via google voice, etc).
Thanks for the tip.. Would save lot of money while calling my people..
Nice to see u here bpear (hi from HTC one X thread )

help needed.
just bought a galaxy watch 3 and i can make calls from my watch tethered to my ph via bluetooth but cant recieve them.
the watch is a lte version but does not as yet have a esim type data plan. if someone rings me the watch does nothing but i do get notifications of texts ect no problem sms and whatsapp...... just not incoming calls. as i can easily make an outgoing call from my watch why can i not receive or even get a notification of an incoming call? tried emptying cashe . done a reset on the watch back to factory settings and also checked the obvious settings such as goodnight mode and all the mute type features.... spoke to samsung no luck ...... this should not be a limitation of the watch as its just making a call over bluetooth...........any ideas? forgot to mention im using a samsung s7 edge with the watch
