So, today I attempted to install Viper4Android to my Verizon Wireless LG G2 using TWRP recovery, and now my phone is in a never ending crash loop. As soon as the phone turns on, I receive the message "Unfortunately, ViPER4Android FX has stopped." Upon pressing the blue OK, the message pops up again. I am now in a never ending loop of this horrid nightmare and have no idea how to escape from it. I do not wish to factory reset my phone, as I do not have a backup of it and all of my games, messages, photos, music, etc are on it.
Therefore, I reach out to you guys at XDA. Is there any way to remove an app you flashed to the phone via TWRP, or is there a way to prevent the message from appearing? My phone is uselessly sitting here and I urgently need it back in a working condition. It is on Lollipop 39A, if that helps. Trying to clear the cache in TWRP has no effect whatsoever.

A couple of days ago, while sitting on the dresser, my XT1053 crashed and has not been able to fully boot and stay alive since. It will give the "bootloader unlocked" message, start all of boot animations, get to the blue-green one and then crash. To get a reboot, I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds, or it just drains the battery. Every once an awhile, the security screen pops up and it will crash, or I can get in, the launcher and services say they have crashed, then the phone shuts off.
I have an unlocked bootloader, but not rooted and was on 4.4.4 before the crash. I can usually get into the bootloader menu, and to recovery. If it crashes, I usually have to restart and do a hard close to get into the menu.
Fastboot works. I've followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53228057&postcount=148as well as the order in the .xml file that came with the 4.4.4 rom. Everything comes back "OK"
Is there something else that needs to be re-flashed to get it working?
The strange thing is that even though I have erased userdata and cache etc., on the rare occasions that I get beyond the boot animation, it still seems to have my custom message and the security pin. Is it possible that the cache and user data aren't actually getting erased? How do I check?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Hey guys,
I have been on 5.1.1 and rooted for about 2 weeks now (pretty much since it came out) with no problems at all. A couple days ago, my Netflix app stopped working; it freezes when trying to load videos. After reinstalling, clearing data, etc. didn't fix it, I decided to boot to recovery to make a backup and reflash. I used Nandroid Manager to boot to recovery, and now my phone is in a boot loop. It has the usual message "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" at the top, but if I try to boot into download mode, the screen goes black momentarily, and the same loading screen comes up again (and is still frozen).
My only thought is to wait for the battery to drain and hope a hard reset fixes it, but my battery was at 95% at the time...and I still don't know if I'll be able to get into download mode.
Any ideas?
Clear caches from recovery and reboot.

Were you able to fix this? I just upgraded to 5.1.1 rooted and Netflix won't work anymore. Stuck on the loading screen as well. I tried wiping cache in recovery and rebooted, reinstalling, clearing cache in app manager, nothing works.
Same issue
This sucks, I have the same issue and I didn't do anything different. I was running stock 5.1.1 with root and it worked, flashed xtresolite rom and it still worked, then today all of a sudden it's just stuck on the loading screen. I've tried unrooting and reverting to stock....nothing. I even logged on to my netflix via laptop and deactivated all my devices since, I assumed I maxed out on the registered devices....still nothing. Hope someone can figure this out, I know in the past Netflix did not work with some custom Roms... But I don't think this is the case considering it doesn't even work when it's stock and unrooted.
***Netflix only works on the TV when it is casted via Chromecast from my Galaxy S6
I have a tab s2, but the same story...running stock 5.1.1 with root since xmas morning...the last 2 days I get stuck when I try to start a video. Can't seem to find an answer.
is there a fix

Hello....Were you ever able to find a fix for this? I have had no problems with Netflix until today. I haven't done anything new or changed anything on my phone, but all of a sudden today it won't load any shows. Netflix opens fine and I can browse, but when I try to play anything it just stays on the loading screen. I'm not having any trouble with any other apps (Hulu, YouTube, games, etc.)
I'm stuck in the same boat, stock rooted (unikernel) LP, and now stock rooted MM..
Hello all. I have been in the Android root community for a little over three years, and even after tinkering with the various devices I've owned since, I cannot get my T599N to come out of its current bootloop.
A background: I had been checking some things in my settings app (running stock, rooted), and I ended up just force closing the settings app to get out of it quickly. Well, this action deleted all of my text messages, and later on it removed my notification bar and made my wallpaper go black. I ended up booting into recovery mode to try and clear the cache. After it cleared, I rebooted, and bam, the bootloop started.
Now, here's what's interesting. The phone is in a bootloop where it displays the first boot message (SGHT599N Galaxy Exhibit or whatever), and then it tries to boot into cwm recovery, displays the loading screen for that for 2 seconds, and just reboots again. I've tried installing a stock rom from ODIN with no success. The rom apparently loads onto the device but it's still in the bootloop. After this, I tried to install philz recovery to try to install a zipped rom to get the device to somehow boot. I tried to factory reset it for installing purposes, and it just reboots. The device will literally clear everything but /data, so that makes me think that it may be a file system problem. I really need to get it to work, as I am out of a phone right now.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried everything I know.
My phone: Moto G 2014, Android 5.0.1
I was playing with Google Cardboard and noticed that it sucks on this phone. Shakes like hell. So I googled around and came accross Xposed framework and a module that fixes this.
So, to "fix" the shaky gyro, I rooted my phone and installed xposed, using this tutorial:
android[dot]wonderhowto[dot]com/how-to/install-xposed-framework-android-lollipop-devices-0160277/
What went ok, was rooting the phone. I then flashed the ZIP using TWRP. Rebooted and it said "updating android". After that, i couldn't install any apps from the Play Store. It downloaded them, started installing and then gave me an error "-504".
I cleared the apps cache and data. No luck.
Restarted. Same problem.
I noticed that the "updating android" box would appear everytime I booted.
So went to TWRP and this is the stupid step that killed my phone: I flashed the zip again.
Now it powers on, shows the Motorolla logos, they spin, it loads, and after a minute a get nothing. The screen light is on, but it's all black.
I don't have a recovery img to restore, since i don't have an sd card and I didn't have enough storage space.
Is there something I can do? I'm desparate.
Thank you!
Hello All,
This is the second time this is happening to me since the latest update, I do not know what is triggering it but the screen goes black and the "System UI has stopped" keeps popping up and even if i close it nothing happens. I cannot access anything in the phone not even reboot menu I have to force restart it everytime. Laste time i ended up formatting the phone which worked but I lost all my data. Please suggest what to do.
edit - I have also booted it in safe mode and the same error pops up.
EDIT - SOLVED - This page helped a lot (https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/737y3j/helpfix_substratum_system_ui_has_stopped_issue/) The bixby method or the samsung find my phone method works.
Same here
Damn it, what samsung it doing!!!!!!!!
