I lose 4g LTE as soon as I root the phone - Verizon LG G2

Just what the title says. Doesn't matter if stumproot, or towelroot, or ioroot, or the 39A root. I lose 4gLTE data as soon as I reboot the phone. The only way to get it back that I've found is to KDZ back to stock. TOT doesn't get my 4gLTE back, only a full KDZ restore. Doesn't matter what new ROM I flash to it, still only 3g. On cyanogenmod my baseband is "unknown", but I have no problems making calls or texting or getting online.
I've tried editing the prop to set the bands to 11 or 13, and about everything else I can possibly think of. I'm not a noob when it comes to rooting and unlocking phones, but this one has me stumped.
Anyone have any ideas?

Much support on this site huh, pff

Data cut off for Rogers users

Customers on Rogers that are using dream or magic currently have their data disabled until they upgrade to the network's newest firmware for the phone. I am currently running a cyanogen build. Would i have to flash the new rogers firmware and flash it back to cyanogen to get my data back? or is there an easier path i can take?

Do NOT attempt this. The Rogers' version contains PerfectSPL, which will prevent any subsequent attempt to reflash or root.
The impression I get from reading here and there is that most of us are waiting to see if changing the build.trout.prop file will spoof the Rogers' script check or, failing that, if someone will come out with a modified Dream ROM, as Cursordroid has done with the Magic. (Apologies, no links, as a "new" poster, I cannot insert hyperlinks).
Rogers a rip... but Bells even worse they lied to me just to get me into a contract, and the lied to try and keep me in the contract!
Any updates on this? I'm still without data outside of the house and it's getting to be a problem.
Just bonking this to see if any progress has been made. I've yet to find any other threads on it and I figure I'm not the only one with no data right now.

back to verizon

I purchased a phone that was suppose to be setup for verizon, i got it home and found out it had been rooted and set up for criket.
after many hours of reading and searching i have the phone flashed back to factory settings, but, when i dial *228 to program for verizon it still calls criket.
I was told i need to flash the antenna ?? or something like that...
can someone help me with this.. thanks
have you flashed the stock sbf?
follow these instructions
i cant post links, wtf
instead of flashing the 2.1sbf file listed there you can use the 2.2 file from this site
i cant post links, wtf
the radios are also listed there, i've been told you need to flash the radios in order, meaning you can't just start at the last one, you need to flash each one seperately. BUT i have no idea how to flash a radio on a stock phone, so if i were you i'd attempt the spf flash with rsd lite, then root the phone and install sprecovery, then install the radios one at a time.
I had the same issue and went to Verizon today and had them flash the stock Froyo using RSD Verizon software. Make sure you enable USB debugging first.
Sent from my Droid using XDA App
OMG... i was told i had to have the phone rooted.. i just got done rooting it again
so... it needs to be un-rooted for me to take it to verizon to get it working on there network ?
No need to unroot; just bring the phone to Verizon and they can restore it back to the original 2.2.

Android M Boot Error

I do realize I am beating a dead horse but I'm having trouble finding the specific answer that I'm looking for. When I first flashed M Dev preview the day it was releaser I did not get the boot error. I rooted got the error, then it wouldn't boot until I flashed a custom kernel. We all know that this is what needs to be done.
However, I've flashed stock lollipop and gone back to M several times, stock recovery, correct boot loader and wiped all data and cache several times however I am still getting the boot error. Now all you have to do is wait the 5 seconds or however long it is and the device boots fine, but I've also noticed that ever since this began happening back when I first rooted, my LTE signal indicator goes away. I still have data and I can still use the device to get online and such. I wouldn't really are except there's one thing, when the LTE indicator goes away I can't make calls either. I am not set to LTE only or anything, I have the correct radios flashed and it doesn't matter what I do.
I can flash factory images manually or in NRT and I still get the boot error, and I still get the signal issue.
Don't worry so much about the LTE issue because I feel like it is caused by whatever is wrong and causing me not to be able to go back to complete stock.
I just need some advice on how go back to TOTAL stock, (UNrooted, stock recover, stock kernel, stock everything) so I will no longer get the boot error.
Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to help.

You, my friend, deserve a 4th of July beer. ?

[Q] Cyanogenmod 12.1 broke my LTE, even after restoring stock backup. Modem maybe?

I installed the 08/06/15 CM 12.1 nightly using TWRP on my VS980.
The problem is that I only have an LTE connection for a minute or two before it drops to 3G. Switching airplane mode on and off will get me another minute or two of 4G. This occurs no matter where I am, even when there is full LTE signal strength.
I restored the backup I made before I flashed the new ROM (which unfortunately didn't include the old modem) but the problem persisted. After that I flashed back to CM since the problem occurred either way. I also notice that my text messages take longer to send now.
I think it's probably the modem, especially since it's the only thing I for some reason decided not to backup before I flashed. When I look in "about phone," the "baseband version" is "unknown."
I tried Googling which modem to use but had no luck. Do you guys think this is the problem, or something else? Thanks in advance for the help.
Another guy had a similar issue. He fixed it by going back to stock via kdz. You could also use a tot file if you would rather. Either one would resolve your issue. You would just have to go through the steps to get a custom recovery after that.
What is a tot file?
Can you link me to a guide for either of both of these methods?
Here is a kdz guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
You just have to make sure that you download the correct kdz for VS980. I would use the 26A one.
The tot guide is located here:

I tried both 26 and 39 with both KDZ and TOT. Both were successful, but neither fixed my problem.

Baseband Unknown issues

Hi, I'm not exactly new to messing with my phone however I do have an issue with the current vs980 I own.
I've had approximately four roms so far on this phone
Stock 5.0.2
Pacman 5.1.1 and its update version
as well as CM13 right now
The problem is somewhere along the lines of me using pacman I seemed to have lost my baseband version, and because of this my phone doesn't seem to connect to 4g, however everything else works and is not out of place.
My question here is, I have a complete FULL backup of all my partitions on the phone using TWRP, and i'm wondering, should i do a restore, (also see if theres an update) then reroot with custom firmware or, is there a simple and easy way to restore the baseband version without going through a ton of work in the process.. And how to avoid losing it in the future.
