Hi all,
I'm very embarrassing because my phone don't work, I mean the touchscreen.
I wanted to replace my cracked screen by a new full LCD + touchscreen + digitizer that I buy in www.g-plushk.com (http://www.g-plushk.com/full-lcd-di...z3-compact-d5803-d5833-d5834-white_p4139.html).
After replacing it by this new one the phone was freeze to the Sony logo so I go to the recovery mode and big surprise the touchscreen doesn't work (twrp or philz). Then I do a full backup in case I need it for later...and bizarrely then phone was able to boot again in my ROM (Slim 2.6)
The problem is the touchscreen doesn't work !!
Please if someone can help me I think I do it good and all connectors are good, I checked it twice. Thank you very much for the help !
Best regards.

After replacing my touchscreen the phone wont boot, gets to the second splash and restarts. I have tried everythiong i can think of, MTTY, reflash, flash to 2k3 etc. anyone got any ideas?
Many thanks
(and yes i was using static band etc)
Yo bra
just curious did you try the old screen back in again of course as well and test?
i replaced it cause it's broken (i didnt replace the LCD, just the toucher digitiser thingy)
woohoo! it's stopped resetting, but the touchscreen still doesnt work (at least no crack this time )
Maybe touchscreen is not really compatible with the device?
There is also another posibility I don't want to share with U.... (bad one... rly bad)
the touchscreen is the right one (Sony not Toppolly), but i have no idea why it doesn't work. Tbh i'm just gonna give up and buy myself a G-smart.
Hello and happy new year everyone,
I've just finished replacing the lcd screen of my gf's xperia z, everything worked well, except for the touchscreen. The display is on and I can see everything, but the display doesn't react to touch.
Should I open it again to see if I didn't plug anything or is the display just not working? What should I do? Please help!
Thanks in Advance

Did you solve this problem? I have exactly the same problem after Touch&LCD screen replacement and I need help?
It is not unusual that screen replacements are faulty. After getting burned myself I always check the functionality of the replacement part before installation. It is actually quite easy to simply plug in the new assembly for a test with only the back cover removed from the faulty handset.
That way a non-functioning replacement can be returned in exchange for a new one.
In your specific case you should definitely disassemble again and replug all connections. And test results before fixing the battery cover of course.
I started to have this peculiar problem where my part of my screen ( pic attached ) stopped responding a few days back...rebooted it normally, then in safe mode & then cleared cache etc, still no effect...the phone is 2 years old now & from what i have read till now , it maybe a digitizer problem
Guys plz advice on what can be done other than sending it to the repair shop which i am sure will cost a fortune...any other way to fix this problem?? btw i am running Viper & Elemental latest versions...

hi,
i don't think that can be repaired thru software. you need to replace the digitizer on that phone. and unfortunately, the lcd and digitizer is bonded, it's not easy to just replace the digitizer. you can look on ebay the replacement lcd complete with frame and back cover. the only problem you will encounter if you DIY it is the disassembly, you can watch youtube or check ifixit on how to disassemble the phone.

Most likely, but just in case remove the screen protector (if you use one) and test again.
Hi guys,
I have a strange behavior and I hope you can help me
I recently dropped my Mi5 into the water. :crying: The display didn't work anymore, I found out, that the contact for the display was damaged on the mainboard and ordered a new one.
After installation, the display works again
The only problem: As soon as I connect the main camera unit, the device doesn't boot any longer, but lands in the boot loop. I also have a 2nd camera unit and here the same happens. That means the camera unit shouldn´t be the problem.
Did you have an idea, what could be the issue here and how I can solve it?
Like said before it is strange because without a connected camera unit everything boots without a problem into the system.
Thanks in advance for your awesome help
Just wanted to let you know, that this issue was a hardware defect of the new mainboard yesterday I got another one delivered and everything works without any problems \o/
Hello,
I hope anyone can help me with this as I wouldn't know what other community to ask.
I have a severly broken Memo Pad 7 [ME572C]. The screen is shattered and the powerbutton strip is broken. From the outside the mainboard seems ok.
Is it possible to switch the mainboard of the broken asus to another (same type of course) device, so that I will be able to boot the system as it was on the old device?
Hope my question is clear and that someone is willing to help me out with this. Thank you in advance!

So you want to put a working motherboard in another tablet that has a working screen, battery etc. ?
If that is what you are looking for , yes you should.
