I have googled and surfed the forum and found some guides, but I still feel not confortable at doing it and I fear I might mess up my Note.
Can someone please tell me how to do this on a stock KK9 Galaxy Note?

Thanks, will give it a look.
Nope, there's no 'Recovery' and 'Reboot' entry in the Power Menu after (re)applying CWM.
I think this topic is going nowhere as this sub-forum doesn't have that many views...

Chainfire's method in this post most definitely does work. Follow the instructions exactly. Be certain to read through both the first and second posts - the files are located in the fourth post, but you need to read and understand the first two before you move on. This is pretty foolproof, if it doesn't work, then you didn't most likely didn't match your numbers to the proper download.

Look I don't know how else to say it, but when I press the POWER button those two menu items (Recovery, Reboot) are not there.
I am not saying I couldn't install CWM properly or anything else, just that I want to add those two holy items.

I don't know what to say other than you haven't followed the instructions properly. It's easy to miss a step. But let's check one thing:
CWM Manager
Because of incompatibilities with ROM Manager, I wrote and included "CWM Manager". This is a new app (as of March 30, 2011). You can find it under Applications -> CWM. It is much faster to use than manually booting into CWM and selecting these options.

I just forgot to say I am using mowmo's ICS Theme and that might have modified the Power menu (although I ran afterwards already-roooted.bat again and those entries are not there).
Could it be the cause of it?

I don't think so, because it's part of the OS. I think at this point you need to post in Chainfire's thread or the thread linked higher up in this thread and seek higher level help - I'm no developer, just an educated user

Most of time it's because the phone is not correctly installed to your comp, try to reinstall drivers, i've used the same method and it's worked perfectly at the first attempt.

Form the folder, where the batch file is inside, hold shift and right click on it, you should get the be able to click "open command window here", or something like that. now type in the batch file name, RUNME.bat and press enter.
Actually, did you extract the zip file?

LOL. Not everyone here is a developer. You're posting here and you clearly aren't.
As for respecting others, perhaps you should follow your own advice, rather than stating that people here should feel some sort of embarrassment because they haven't provided you with the level of support that you clearly think you're entitled to.

The first post yes, but not all 51 pages. I mentioned the alternative download link, as the one attached in the thread didn't work for me and the main site contains an updated version
It's done what I needed it for (allowed me to delete bloatware and freeze OS updates), so I am happy. I only mentioned my success, plus posted proof as others in this thread hadn't had success and thought it may help others.

Yeah i perfectly understood that. The software I downloaded directly from their site was in English (as you can see from the image) and that's the only bit of software I needed to gain root and do what I needed to do. Yes there is another app installed as well that is in Chinese, but as that is only for conserving battery power, I didn't use it anyway.

I see we're going to go round in circles with this, so I'll leave it there.
I think it is best. I'm happy with the result I got and was just advising others who were unsuccessful that there was another option, as the one linked in that thread didn't work on my Tab S, but the different version on their site did. I didn't expect a whole discussion as to whether or not I could understand the English language or basic instructions.
ROOTING FAILED
I tried the android and the pc version on my T800 10.5" running kitkat v4.4.2 never flashed or rooted before, the pc version detected my T800, but the rooting failed, the same as the android version.
So it was a big waste of time for me.

Kingroot relies on cloud to find root solution. Giving up right away means connection is not properly established. Make sure your WiFi is on, and not restricted(e.g. company network), then try again.

If you try to many times it blocks any more tries with that version. Whatever version you're using try another version. If it's 4.1 use v4 then try 4.1 again if that doesn't work.

Hello I would like to give this a shot, this is a silly noob question but I wanted to be clear before I try. To execute the python command, is this same process of opening CMD in ADB/fastboot folder? If so I am not exactly clear as what to type to run the command. Is it just >>bash
