Anyone have a Fitbit? I just got the flex and it doesn't sync with my nexus 6. According to the webpage the 6 isn't a supported device but the nexus 5 is. I can't get it to sync to either devices so I'm assuming it's a LP issue and Fitbit needs to update. Anyone have a Fitbit and a nexus 5 that stopped connecting to Bluetooth after the update?

my flex works just fine. it's works nearly out of the box with my N4, N5 and now N6... maybe it's defective?

So your saying it works? My boss has one and he can't sync his to his n5 either.... Are you connecting it via BT?

works perfectly. but you don't connect to it via BT. it sync's in the backgroud via the app.
with BT on, open the app and it'll automatically connect (once you set it up on the computer with the included dongle first though)
Wow that worked... thanks!
that's how it's designed to work, since it's not a 2 way device.
I can't seem to find anything about this. A few threads about will it work with my phone and most answers are from people that don't know that it's even available. I have a oneplus 6 with the latest 9 build. Is it hardware related or software. Anyone who has any idea how this works and might know how to enable it I'd be stoked. I have a Kenwood DDX9905S that supports it and I updated it's software also.
In AA on your phone, is there a setting for "Enable Wireless Projection?" That needs to be on, and the phone has to initially connect and work with a USB connection, before wireless will work. After it's all set up, there's no need for the USB connection.

I don't see that setting. Do the pixel phones have that setting?

Yes.
I work in a Skoda dealership we are doing training for a new car that's coming in the next two weeks and it will have Wireless Android Auto. I think the car will have to support it but I'm not sure yet until training takes place. Will update once I know next week.

Thanks for the info. My car stereo supports it I just don't think my phone does. And wonder what it would take to make it work.

As far as I know the car also has to support this, it will only be available on newer models or cars built after a certain week of this year.

For me it is strange. I have 2 android phones, a oneplus one rooted and a samsung s8 non rooted. I try to connect the oneplus with a cable for android auto but the S8 disconnects from bluetooth, so the 2 phones can not be connected at the same time. The weirdest thing is that my wife as the iphone 11 pro max and when she is in the car i can connect the S8 with android auto and the iphone still works with bluetooth. Why can't i do this with 2 android phones?
So, if i can connect the S8 with aa and the iphone via bluetooth, why can't i connect another android phone
rather than the iphone.?
If in my car, i have 2 "slots" for bluetooth connection:
1 combination : S8 connected with aa and using 1 "slot" BT and iphone connected using the other BT "slot", works fine
2 combination: S8 connected with aa and using 1 "slot" BT and oneplus one connected using the other BT "slot", never works
3 combination: oneplus one connected with aa and using 1 "slot" BT and S8 connected using the other BT "slot", never works
Why?
I think this is an implementation issue of the head unit. In the Subaru, I've had my phone connected to AA for navigation and my wife has used hers on bluetooth for calls. Try turning bluetooth off on the phone that is connected to AA - I don't remember, but I may have had to do that.

Hi. I have the same problem. But, if I freeze all the bluetooth services of the phone that is connected by cable (bluetooth does not work), I can connect the other phone by bluetooth to make calls and android auto works correctly.
This solution is not the best for me, since I want to connect the obd2 to the bluetooth of the phone that is permanently connected to AA.
I read online that there are people who could solve it by cloning the same bluetooh mac on both phones. But I can't find how this procedure is done.

I believe that android auto won't work unless your phone Bluetooth tooth and cable connected to head unit.
Either one is missing, it won't work.
Correct me if I am worng

Hi. I believed the same as you. But, in my case, if I disable all bluetooth services, android auto still works, with the cell phone connected by cable. (cell phone bluetooth is disabled)
I would like to find a way to use it to connect the obd2, to the cell phone that is permanently connected.
Any idea how to solve this?
Today i had the S8 connected to the infotainment system by bluetooth and then i connected the oneplus with the cable (because i had to restart the oneplus), it started the Android auto connection and for moments the 2 phones where working at the same time (i continued to listen to music from S8 and had the android auto interface on). I was viewing google maps on aa and when i switched app, the connection with S8 broke. I still don't understand, i thought that the 2 channels i had in my car for bluetooth where not connected between one another, but it seems that with 2 android phones the connection is broken. I insist, with the iphone and any other android phone works just fine.

Hi. To me, android auto forces to connect the bluetooth of the cell phone that is connected by cable. If android car is not running I can have both phones.

It does not have to be that way, at least for me. And if this works like that is a bad implementation of android auto. My car has 2 slots for bluethoot connection, i think they would have to work independently from each other, but in this case you have 2 android phones, it seems that the connection is linked in the 2 slots and it will not work, but if you have an iphone and an android phone the 2 slots work independently and they work just fine. So...Why? I still can't get it, it shouldn't be like this.
Hi mates, the same here!
I´ve an android radio with bluetooth 5.1 and can´t find a way to connect 2 Android phones at the same time. Tha´s ´cos 1 is for calls and 2 is only for music (rooted with Viper4android). Do I need another bluetooth adapter in order to make the 2nd phone working? Or what??
Tks so much and tks in adv
In the last week i has able to connect the 2 android phones via Bluetooth in my car. The trick here is to connect first the phone that you will use for calls, and then connect the other phone. If you try to do it the other way arround it won't work.

I tried the way you described, but as soon as you try to connect 2nd phone, my android head unit says to disconnect 1st phone, in order to connect 2nd phone.
Just FYI
1st phone= S10 (for receiving calls)
2nd phone= Oneplus X (android auto)
Honda accord head unit ( android auto)
For me it's not possible.
Can you describe step by step your thing. Cause AFAIK I have no go.

First off all, my car has 2 slots for bluetooth devices, normally i use an iphone (wife) and a samsung s8. In the past weeks i was trying to connect the s8 and an oneplus one. I struggled at first but now i only need to have the oneplus turned off and connect the s8 to the bluetooth of the head unit, then i turn on the oneplus witch is very fast since this device has few apps installed and connect with the cable via android auto. I even share the internet connection between phones and can play youtube videos in the head unit. The car is a Skoda Kodiaq 2017 (VW group).

It happens to me as it does to you. When I connect with the cable it forces me to use the bluetooth of the cell phone connected to the cable.
I still can't find the solution
Is there a way to connect AA without wires with a rooted phone?
Yes, by a WIFI connection. But your car infotainment system should support it. This is only supported on the newest cars, but I don't know which ones.

You can use AAGateway (using an old phone as "slave" connected to you infotainment)
has anyone encounterd problems connecting to Android Auto?
My Zenfone 8 seems to flip out when I connect it to my HU, flipping through connection modes and only sometimes "setteling" on being able to connect to the HU.
This HU and cable work great with other phones.
Thanks

If I understand you correctly, yes, I get the same problem. At first I thought it was a cable problem - the phone kept connecting, disconnecting, connecting again a s o. Then I realized it's a problem with the phone entering AA mode, then leaving, then back... If I play with the cable, it settles indeed.
yes, thank you. exactly like that
