Sprint Lollipop? - Moto X Q&A

Are there any PERFECT Lollipop ROMS for this phone. By perfect I mean everything working GPS, MMS, Bluetooth, Wifi, Minimal random reboots. I need a Lollipop ROM to be my daily driver im coming back from my 5.1 Nexus 5. Going back to 4.4.4 is prehistoric. ((((Sprint Moto X))))

Reboots? What it is? I didn't encounter a one in last two months, either on NX, or 1053 mod, or 4.4.4

[Q] Flashing back to stock 4.4.4

I got my Moto X XT1095 and was impatient and sideloaded a version of 5.0.
I now have the most inconsistent battery life every. Some days it's great and some days it just drains so damn fast. It's annoying.
I go a link to the stock images from the Moto X website but was warned that flashing backwards may cause unwanted outcomes such as poor performance that I'm already experiencing.
Has anyone flashed their device back to stock?
I'd rather do this and just get normal [safe] updates from Moto.
Thoughts?
If you have your boot loader unlocked you can. Motorola had the instructions on their forum.
It is here some where too.

I flashed back to 4.4.4, but it was only to get the proper 5.0. I haven't had any problems since.

[Q] Already on Lollipop, how do I return to stock?

I know, I know, there are a ton of posts by people asking how to return to stock. My situation is quite peculiar though.
I was part of the Motorola Feedback Network and I got to test 5.1 Lollipop on my XT1053 along with maybe 100 other people a few months. I was quite fortunate, but I felt like messing around and I flashed CM12.1. Now that 5.1 is available for everyone, I want to go back since CM has a cell radio battery drain bug that isn't present in stock.
So here's the problem:
I am unable to return to 4.4.4 to receive the OTA. Because I was already on Motorola's 5.1, my bootloader, motoboot and other important files were all upgraded to 5.1 and I can't downgrade. I tried flashing them using fastboot but no dice. Thankfully, I had a back up of CM12 or else my phone would be bricked.
I tried downloading a flashable OTA but it won't install because it's expecting me to come from 4.4.4, not 5.1.
I think what I would need is a generic 5.1 zip for the XT1053 in order to return to stock, but what do you think?
Like I said, I have the CM12 back that restored just fine so my phone is functional so I'm in no hurry. Thanks for any help!

SMS/Voice Non-Functional on non-stock ROM.

Sorry if this thread is a duplicate, but on my XT1056, I'm completely unable to get SMS or Voice working on anything besides 4.4.4 Stock.
I've tried the stock 5.1 update, I've tried AOSP, and I've tried CyanogenMod
I'm not honestly completely sure what I'm doing wrong.
Data starts working after manually setting the APN's, in the case of 5.1 Stock, or fixing the APN's (Ting wasn't set properly on the CyanogenMod nightly I downloaded, may be fixed now.) AOSP just didn't let me set them in the first place. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to work on 4.4.4 ROM's, as I tried CM11 and it had the same issue, so this doesn't seem to be Lollipop exclusive. I'm currently running 5.1 Stock, with latest TWRP. Unrooted, though I can fix that in a minute or two.
I can provide as much data as you want if there's any way to fix this. Don't really want to be stuck on 4.4.4 for much longer.

Warbling call volume after updating to Lollipop

Hi all,
I am just wondering if anyone has come across this issue.
I recently updated my old Z1 to Lollipop (completely stock, no root or anything). I wiped the whole lot and flashed the Lollipop ftf. It's currently running the UK 14.6.A.0.368 firmware. Haven't updated it yet to the 216 firmware.
When I call this phone from any other, I can hear my daughter (whom I gave the phone to) but her voice warbles like she's talking underwater.
It is really strange because I had the exact same problem when I updated my wife's Z1 Compact to Lollipop too.
Both devices have locked bootloaders, no root, just clean wipe and flashed Lollipop ftf.
In the end I flashed KitKat back on the Z1C but my daughter really prefers LP over KK.
Any thoughts on this?

[Solved] Phone keeps rebooting when it's on standby

Edit: I solved it by going back to Stock rom, Android 2.2.1 Froyo. It didn't happen anymore, so it must be some software related issue which remained on the phone even after fully wipe including the OS. Now I will just need to root the phone again and flash custom roms on it.
Hi there,
When I bought my Samsung Galaxy S back then it came with Android 2.2 Froyo (or it was Eclair, don't remember), which I updated to 2.3 Gingerbread. Since then I flashed newer Android roms found on this forum. I never had any problems. So I had ICS (various versions), JB (various versions) and KitKat (I think I was on 4.4.0 and later on 4.4.4)
So up to Android KitKat 4.4.0 I used it on daily basis but after I got a new phone I didn't use it much anymore (I would only turn it on to make sure the battery won't die). But recently I turned it on, I can do things on the phone but when I leave the phone on standby it would eventually reboot on its own.
I tried installing an older version of KitKat. I picked one from an older date, which happened to be 4.4.2. The same issue happens there too. I just installed Android 6.0.1. made by Full Advance. and the issue happens there too.
My phone has an SD card inserted but no SimCard, anything else you need to know just ask.
I would like to keep Android 6.0.1 from Full Advance. It seems a fast and stable rom. It feels faster than the KitKat 4.4.4 I had.
I would be glad if the issue on the self reboot would be solved. I want to use this phone as a MP3 player. I really like AudioFX.
Any help appreciated, thanks!
