Really trouble because of locked boot loader and stuck in boot loader with stock recovery. Try and with no luck cannot fast boot flash anything because it always ask for unlock boot loader allowed in developer mode. Don't understand google on this features at all. All is stock if anyone have anyway to tick the box without boot or force flash with locked boot loader.
your only option is to rma it. theres no way to fix your error.
@tanipat
Sorry, but there's nothing you can do under the situation you describe. You will have to return it for repair/replacement.
thank you both pf you guys my problem is that Motorolla is no support here in Thailand anymore. the device is import from US. well, its a security feature. to prevent people stealing your device, then factory reseting it to set up their own account. if there was a way around it, it would make terrible security.
So if you hit start it just goes straight back into the bootloader?

How did it get this way? Just out off the blue? What happens is you press Start?, What happens when you do Factory Reset?
i'm unlock bootloader when i get this phone. and using it without root or flash anything. the problem comes when i factory reset it and i go to sleep in the morning i found it in bootloader screen with this situation. i try start and it go back to bootloader again always. thing i can do is format or erase cache and data and can enter stock recovery.
can i adb sideload anything? i have no clue also why my phone seems lose everything except stock recovery any thoughs my friends?

Nope. If you format userdata and cache already, nothing else you can do.

bootloader log says

i just wanna reset it because i will give this phone to my friend who have lost the phone, now i dont think he needs expensive paper weight!

If your device is bricked, and your bootloader is locked and you do not have TWRP recovery installed, then the only thing one can do is return the device for repair or replacement.
On the other hand, if bootloader is unlocked and/or one has TWRP recovery installed, then it is relatively easy to fix.
still no findaway method so far? of it is possible for me to adb push from stock recovery? Do we have that kind of firmware.zip other than factory image flashing?

I apologize in advance if this same issue has been replied to elsewhere. I'm in kind of a unique situation and couldn't find an answer anywhere.
I'm got an N1 with 2.3.6 stock ROM, rooted. Recently I downloaded Titanium Backup PRO and while attempting to integrate dalvik cache to ROM, my phone rebooted into a bootloop. I'm assuming this is a bootloop. I get the colorful splash screen, it freezes for a second of two, then continues on, and on, and on....
Is there a way to get me out of this loopwithout having to wipe all my data, so I can backup all my stuff before I flash a custom ROM?
Everything I see about bootloops, mentions unlocking the bootloader and wiping all your data. I've seen downgrading using PASSIMG and loading stock rom. I'd really just like a simple way to get out of this loop hell and get my phone back up. It's in teh ship now getting it's power button fixed.
Thanks in advance
first thing i do on bootloops is pull battery
if no go pull battery and then pwr on by pressing pwr and trackball at same time--you can then get to recovery and maybe wipe dalvik and cache and reboot
i have never used TB for anything other than backup/restores, so can't help with dalvik integration
You might be able to fix it by wiping your cache from recovery.

Thanks for the advice! I'll give it a try as soon as I get my phone back from being fixed.
Hey guys, I hope you can help. I got my phone back with new power button, Yay! When I try to boot into recovery, teh Nexus X logo comes on for a moment and then I get a white triangle with an orange exclamation point. Do I need to use ADB to try and go to recovery and wipe my cache? I've never installed a recovery image. Do I need to do that or should there be a stock image already on my phone? Am I SOL?
One more thing that might help. I notice that when I go into HBOOT, the phone searching for 4 images from my SD card and can't find them. They go by too fast to write them all down but I think some are PASSIMG, PASSDIAG, etc. Again, do I need to load a recovery like clockworkmod on my phone first and then go into recovery to attempt to wipe my cache?
I get the same passimg all the time--no problem
If your phone came back from repair, you are probably unrooted and hence the triangle. At least that is the way I remember it, but has been two years since I rooted
If that is comfirmed by someone else, you wil need to reroot and install a recovery
A good time, if you haven't, to install android sdk and root/install recovery the right way and have full adb/fastboot features
there other ways I am not familiar with
does the lock show unlocked on the screen, they could have relocked bootloader
the wiki has the instructions, just have to navigate to the htc smartphones and N1
jus to make sure that if u still got root. install su checker app from play store and confirm.
if not root using SUPER ONE CLICK ROOT.
flash recovery (4EXT is good) www.4ext.net
do a backup and then flash the rom u want

Thanks I'll check. I only had teh power button fixed and not by HTC so I doubt they unrooted it. I'm still in a bootloop but I can use superoneclick still, so I'll give that a try.
so what I'm trying to do is wipe my cache without wiping my data. I don't think my bootloader is unlocked. Am I screwed?I'm in a bootloop, so I can 't install anything to the phone. I probably could put a recovery image on the SD card, but if my bootloader is locked, I'm guessing that won't work. I'm rooted. When I go to HBOOT, the phone looks for passim files and doesn't find them, then when I choose recovery I get the white triangle. I've try to flash a recovery image through ADB but I get an error, failed to load image. Again, is that a bootloader issue?
I'm almost at the point of just wiping my data and hoping I can get it all back somehow.

Did you miss the "stuck in boot loop" part?
sorry,
meant that the triangle is your stock recovery--
you install recovery thru fastboot not adb
i would still, if you haven't, install android sdk on pc-unlock bootloader (fastboot oem unlock) and fastboot recovery--all in wiki
i think it was mentioned--holding down pwr and tb will get you into fastboot mode--phone connected and usb debugging selected on phone
you'll just have more flexibility with flashing roms etc and getting out of trouble
My brother just got an atrix hd from a guy at work. The phone will not boot into normal, recovery, or anything else besides the AP Fastboot mode. in the AP fastboot screen the text says:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
10.9B(*) (sha-2e68372, 2012-11-17 23:3308)
eMMC info: size 8GB
Device is LOCKED, Status Code:0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Boot menu selected
From what my brother knows the guy had the phone in his lunchbox and when he got home from work and tried to turn it on this is what the phone was doing.
Is there something i can try or a way to flash a system image? I've rooted, unlocked the bootloader and installed custom roms on a variety of phones and im sure i can get this phone straightened out if i was just pointed in the right direction. Thanks for any and all the help! its greatly appreciated!!!

Well, firstly, you need to unlock its bootloader IMMEDIATELY then you can try other action (reflash stock roms, etc..). Using Myth Tools is recommended in the post above.
After unlocking bootloader, you can try to download stock firmware from here:
Then flash it with Myth Tools (recommend) or RSDLite
If you satisfy with stock one, just keep it and do further mods or you can flash custom recovery before flashing custom roms.
That's my recommendation but you need to do the FIRST step is Unlocking Bootloader right now
Hope it helps.

I can't even root it, the phone shuts off if disconnected from a charger. And even when on the charger it keeps boot looping.

The boot looping which you mean is going to the fastboot mode, right?
Did you try to enter bootmenu (turn off phone, hold both vol + and vol - then press press powermenu to turn on) and select "normal powerup"?
Can you tell me whether your phone has ATT logo on its screen's bottom?
Maybe flashing back to its correct original firmware by RSDLite can help to bring it back then we can root and unlock bootloader.
But we need to know exactly which is its original firmware before it stucks there.
I've got it fixed...turns out the battery was bad. So luckily I switched it out with an atrix HD with a broken screen we had and it booted right up so I rooted, unlocked the bootloader and flashed the stock logo and a custom ROM. All smiles now! Thanks for everyone's help!

Having a issue with bootlooping, I unlocked the bootloader. I tried to install stock firmware but the phone doesnt even get past the motorola symbol it justs goes blank that tries to boot again. I can get it in to fastboot though. Its ATT version, is there anyway I can fix it?
Did Myth complete the flashing process? Have you tried using RSD lite to flash stock?

There's a chance that it could be the digitizer. About a week ago I replaced my Dad's digitizer and I read a crap ton of reviews before purchasing the one I did. Of the bad ones, a few had people complaining about it not working, most were the top 10% of the screen wouldn't respond to touches (like swiping down the nonfiction drawer), and I saw a couple describing your situation.
If you never had a custom rom installed, were rooted, or had the bootloader unlocked before doing this, I doubt that there's anything you can flash that'll fix this. If the bootloader was unlocked before doing this and there was a custom rom installed on the phone, you might have to flash Philz CWM, format the internal sd, and change its mount point to /data/media then format it again. Not changing the internal sd mount point after flashing a fastboot when coming from custom 4.2+ roms causes bootloops.
This is the digitizer I used to fix my Dad's Atrix HD last week. He hasn't had a problem with it whatsoever. My Dad is an ass of the highest degree so I'd know with a loud angry voice if there was ANY minor issue with it.

Ok so there are multiple questions to answer here.
#1 i do not recall which rom was on the phone.. although it appears it was the lastest AT&T as RSD re-Flashed it with a pass. I suppose i should have checked but i've never ran in to this situation. I was just changing the glass out.... you remove about 16 screws, pop the glass out and put a new one it...
#2 the customer does not want the phone rooted or moded, just stock
#3 the bootloader is locked and mythtool instructions are saying you have to be in debugging mode to unlock.... thats not gonna happen cause it don't boot..
So does anyone know if this thing needs a sim for a first boot after an actuall battery pull?
Also..
I unplugged the digitizer and tried to boot thinking hey other phones will boot without the digitizer, but same thing... AT&T Screen and it's hung. everything on this board is shielded.. so i doubt it got ESD zapped, and i did take static potective precautions.
I bet this thing would look good with a .45cal hole in it.

#1 That's what I'd assume...and it's 22 screws with fine threading... And if you're getting the AT&T boot logo after a fastboot flash, the bootloader is locked.
#2 Customer's loss
#3 Never actually tested that, but I've never once needed a sim for it to boot up....actually, my first boot ever might have been sim free...been a year now so I'm not really sure.
And I didn't take static precautions.
You didn't accidentally warp or mess up the motherboard on the blow dryer part of the digitizer swap? Or any unnecessary bending on the board with you were prying the screen from it? Those two are the only "dangerous" parts in any Atrix HD repair...unless someone isn't steady with a screwdriver, then there are 46 "dangerous" parts to the repair.
Next time you power up the phone, hold down both volumes and power to access the boot menu. Use volume down to scroll to recovery and volume up to select it. Once in recovery, do a factory reset as well as any cache or dalvik wipes available. If a fastboot flash and all the wipes in stock recovery don't fix it, I'm not really sure what will aside from a new motherboard -- in which case you're better off spending an extra 20-30 and just getting a used Atrix HD like I did....I mean, 50 for just a motherboard or 80 for the all the hardware plus accessories...not really a hard choice seeing as the customer will at least have some backup repair parts in case something bad happens in the future.
Stock recovery is worthless

The only thing you can flash with a locked bootloader is your stock rom with fastboot. That's it. When locked, if manually flashing all the partitions, flashing with RSD, wiping everything that can be wiped, and you're still not booting, then the phone is either truly bricked or you're not doing something correctly.
The only exception to the above is if something went bad during the OTA and you have some sort of partition mix up, in which case the official fastboot for the OTA might fix it for you -- there isn't a stock fastboot for the OTA yet.

someone on one of the pages on facebook asked if anyone could help, her phone was working fine then suddenly wasnt and stuck at this stage (see pic)
its a factory standard phone, not been rooted, not been bootloader unlocked and S-ON, how to get the phone working again
Well the first thing to try is a Factory Reset, if its been tried already the only other thing you can do is Unlock the bootloader. This will void the warranty if there is any and if the phone still doesn't boot after flashing a rom you won't be able to reyurn it under warranty so that should be considered before unlocking it.
In fact you could try flashing a firmware package before unlocking that may or may not fix it without unlocking the bootloader. Do you know how to use adb and fastboot?
i dont think unlocking the bootloader is an option, any simpler things to try first?

Flashing the firmware is about the only thing you can do. Not necessarily simpler than unlocking the boot loader and won't be a guaranteed solution depending what the actual problem is. But it won't effect the warranty in anyway.

Also Don't Forget unlocking the bootloader will completely erase the phone ...everything on it will be lost.
Boot to stock recovery from the bootloader
the screen will go black wait a few seconds and press volume up and tap power you should see the stock recovery menu
do a clear cache from their and see if it boots
if no go back to the same screen and choose factory reset ... this will erase the phone also but it might boot up afterwords
I've had a look through various threads on here to try to get my Nexus 6 updating to 5.1...
I'd unlocked the bootloader and rooted it a long time ago, and was trying to find a way to do it without wiping it, but decided to just re-lock the bootloader and do it from scratch, only 3 months old but no harm in a fresh start...
Anyway, I locked the boot loader, it erased successfully, but still fails to update...
I've seen people refer to side-loading, but can't seem to see the best place for a guide to do that...
Shouldn't it update as normal now I've relocked the bootloader? Can anyone point me in the right direction while it's still blank?

Can you point me in the right direction for sideloading 5.1? I've downloaded it, but not sure how to get it on...

relocking just locks the bootloader, wiping just deletes the user data. so, if any files get changed, they still stay changed, even after a factory reset. flashing the factory img would change this(another way to get 5.1).

Agreed, factory image should get you back to Ota ready.

Okay, getting on with it now, thanks guys...
For future reference, when the next update comes out, can I just side-load without having to wipe everything again?

for the future, if you are flashing a factory img, then yes.

Same thing. Everything has to be 100% stock.
No need to wipe if you don't relock your bootloader.

Possibly spoke too soon - the last steps of the instructions didn't happen...
When a small Android appears, press Power Button + Volume UP.
- Select "Wipe data/factory data reset"
I got the small Android on its side / error image, so pressed Power Button & Volume Up, the phone just rebooted, did an upgrading thing and booted as normal...
Should I re-do something now before I set everything back up or should it be okay to use?

Awesome, thanks
Need to decide now whether to bother rooting to make future updates easier...
I'm on a Google purchased, at&t sim, 5.0.1 Nexus 6 -- Locked boot loader, stock everything.
Mac OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks.
I enabled debugging, authorized my computer, and can see my device listed with the ./adb devices command when it's on. However, once I boot into the boot loader, or stock recovery, I lose my adb connection, and therefore cannot side load the OTA.
Everything I've found points to it being a Windows driver issue, but I'm on Mac...
Any advise?

adb only works in stock recovery for adb sideload. I've never done it but my assumption is that you must be in the sideload menu
Only fastboot works in the bootloader.

Yup -- I am in the side-load menu, with yellow text, asking for the file to be pushed across adb.

What does it say when you sideload?

After you put the boot loader in sideload mode, unplug and replug the USB cable, then run adb sideload.
Ok racked my brain on this and tried everything, need advice now. I'm stuck in fastboot. There is no recovery, and I'm not even sure there is an OS Because I can't get past this screen. Tried a factory reset and nothing...everything else options wise on this screen and nothing. Been working on this for four hours now and just want to get it to boot up. Any help?

It seems that your partitions were wiped, since the bootloader cannot get the radio version. You might need to flash a stock rom.
Stock Rom
How can I flash a stock rom when I can't even access recovery to do so?

If you are up for it, you can unlock you bootloader, flash a custom recovery and then flash the stock rom in the development section
Do you have a link for the most useful thread?

Unfortunately the problem here is that your radio partition has been wiped out. It would be better that you take it to a service centre. You won't be able to flash the radio by unlocking your bootloader
