Record video to USB OTG? - Mi 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys. I have a Xiaomi Mi3W 16GB variant.
I know it supports USB OTG, i've already used it.
But is there any way to record videos directly to USB OTG?
I need to record a concert, and i think my free storage will not be enough :/
Best regards!

[Q] SGS and exteral film watching

Hi there,
Has there been any work done on getting the USB to send to an external video source i.e HDMI DVI or VGA would be possible?
I have the Nokia cable used to send the display into the TV. Although it does work, the image is abysmal.
Perhaps someone might have given this some thought? Perhaps a Voodoo HDMI project is sought!
It's impossible. The chipset does not have that capability.

Camera (DSLR or PnS) connects to Note..is it possible?

Why not ? I connect it all the time. Just you have to use proper cabling to make it use. They will be in Mass Storage mode from which you can transfer things you want to

Hello!
I think that the way is a some DIY solution where OTG cable is combined with a battery-powered +5 V source.
Searched a little in google and didn't found any complete device.
As a solution, any mobile USB charger with sufficient power output can be used.

Maybe this could help. I was previously using a I9001 and i don't think they support OTG.

I9000 supporting it, but need external power.
Here is all about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450298
Personally, I have successful experience connecting USB Flash Drives and Nikon D200 to my phone with DIY cable.

Honor 9 Lite - Endoscope camera USB

Hi,
I have got Honor 9 lite LLD-L21 8.0.0.135(C185) and I have bought endoscope USB camera.
APK camerafi see it as unknown device(1908,2311) but read it's spec 640x480, YUYV, 30 FPS and I dont have view.
Have you any solution, idea?
Spec phone and OTG apk show that USB OTG is enabled for my phone.
Cam works with other phones.
I heard something about root, kernel or low USB voltage are responisble, could you agree with it?
Any repilies, solutions will helpfull.
Thx.
All I can tell you is otg works fine on this device in terms of plugging in a USB stick
I've no idea what the requirements are for the camera you have
You can always get an otg cable with power

I am having the same problem. I purchased this camera

I can connect to my Macbook Pro and it shows the image. But when I connect it to my Huawei Honor 7x the phone does not see the camera. I use female USB to micro usb cable, since the Honor7x has micro usb port. Have you found a way to make it work?

What does the OTG cable do? It has one female USB port which would connect to the camera, one male micro usb port which would connect to the phone. What does the female micro usb port serve for? Where does the power come from?
