Battery drain overnite

I have gotten up to find our nook dead a couple of mornings. It doesn't happen all the time so I wonder what it could be. Has anyone else seen this before? We would have over a half charge each time. I have a task killer running but I wonder if it could be something else I'm not seeing?
Occasionally, my wifi doesn't sleep correctly when I turn off my Nook and my battery drains signifantly more as a result...
Seems to depend on which ROM you are using. CM7 uses the most battery during standby and stock seems to use the least.

Do you have Titanium Backup scheduled? If so, see here:

No I don't have titanium installed. I may check the wifi. I know that it happens more after I use it than my wife. Of course I am downloading and running more apps than her.
Download an app to turn wifi off when the screen is off. I had the same issue plus random reboots before I did the above.

Does having SYNC on really use battery?

I never noticed better battery with it turned off so I am assuming its using the same "PUSH" connection that the rest of your apps would be using and not draining any more battery? I dont get many emails so I dont think I would see any drain?
Thanks.

GPS off =battery drain

I seem to notice that keeping the GPS off seems to drain the barttery faster in mango
Anyone here can replicate the problem?
I think some kind of process looping going on draining the battery because the phone maybe trying to access the gps
Again? No, I´ m not having the problem, you need to get a new battery after those expirements of yours.

GPS would be be the same as Location Services. Disable that.

horrible battery....

im with tsunami rom (AOKP) with semaphore 2.5.0S and the battery is really awful... with and without 3G it just keep going down... (20 minutes without use + 3G off, 10% and gone...) if ill will update the semaphore it will help? to run clean kernel script? and if yes before or after the installation?
if not what can i do? its awful...
the problem is in the device of in the battery? if device in hardware or software?
Have you calibrated the battery? If no, then use battery calibrator from the play store.

i did it like 3-4 times never really helped...
try to find
you could download Betterbatterystats and run without charging. you may know which process is drinking battery juice.
i have faced that problem. It may be caused by modem, kernel, process which disturb deep sleep.
Better try the rom 2~3days. sometimes battery gets better.
Os monitor with root is also good to find which process is using cpu.

What is CoverAuthenticator and why is it killing my battery?!

This just recently started (in the last 3 or so days) to kill my battery. Anyone know what it is and how to stop it?
Any ideas what CoverAuthentcator is?
And if anyone is wondering, I do not have a wallet cover on my phone.
