Hi, I deleted everything on my phone from TWRP hoping to use USB mount to transfer my flashable zip and it doesn't seem to work. It comes up on my computer as "Moto X" and when i transfer my zip file, the progress bar never moves. Is there any way I can put the zip file onto my phone?
Nevermind guys, It somehow worked now

Hey all, I'm currently in RA after flashing the recovery image , and I'm trying to install the FRESH rom on there but for some reason when I try to "Flash zip from sdcard" it's telling me "No zip files found." Why is that? I have the whole zip folder placed in the main SD card, so why is it telling me it's not found?

I responded to you on http://GeekFor.Me, but the reason is because RA looks in the root of sdcard, the zips can't be inside of any folders.
So does that mean I have to take out all the individual files and place them directly into the root of the sdcard? Because I just basically copied the download folder and dropped it into the root. Thanks for the reply

You need to leave the files in a .zip, but yea that zip needs to be on the root of the sdcard.
The only file you need to install the rom is fresh-cdma-hero-20d.zip (for fresh rom 2.0d). Any other zips are just addons or tweaks or whatever they may be.

Hmm, I'm on a Mac and maybe it's me but the link I download from gives me an actual folder rather than a zip. And when I rename the folder to a zip, it gives an error. Is there a mirror link to download an actual zip folder?
Boogie when you download it dont opening after it finishes downloading .. just use the finder to navigate to where its at and then copy that to your sd .. when you open it on a mac it will automatically create the extracted folder .. hope this helps ...
Sounds like your using Safari to download it. To make this easier in the future go to Safari > Preferences > General and make sure that "Open safe files after downloading" is NOT check-marked.
Safari is unpacking the zip file for you. The file you want is in your trash bin, drag it to the root of your SD card and that's it..
Ok I'm gonna give it another go. Since I made it all the way through to the RA stage, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to flash the rom is there?
Thanks for all the help everyone I finally got it to flash the FRESH rom, but once I rebooted it, it's still in the "HTC" branded screen. Is it loading? It's not going anywhere but this screen, although I know it's doing something because the animation shine is moving.

After flashing a new ROM, it can take up to 10 minutes or so to load.
Nice Everything is all good! Now my last question is how do I get the removed apps from the ROM back onto here? I actually prefer to have some of those programs back onto the phone.

There is a link in the release notes to download all the removed apk's from Fresh Rom. You will then need to use adb push to push them back to /system/app. Search for how to setup adb on a mac as I honestly don't know.
Hello again
I'd asked for info on how to root my Streak last week and was able to get started on the process, and have gotten as far as putting clockworkmod recovery on the streak and making the nandroid backup, but am now stuck. I'm including as much information of what I've done below to try and help make it easier to find the error, if possible. I have been trying to look up stuff for myself as much as I can, but I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem as of yet.
I've been working from the instructions at http://www.streaksmart.com/2011/03/how-to-get-rooted-android-222-update-on-your-dell-streak-7.html
For the last step, it says:
Now let's get to flashing your chosen .zip from ClockworkMod.
Turn off your Streak 7.
Turn it back on by holding down the volume up (+) button and the power button at the same time until the stock recovery menu is shown.
Select option 2, "Software update via update.pkg on SD card," from the menu to go to ClockworkMod.
In ClockworkMod, use the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select the following options: install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > choose .zip file from wherever it is on your card >Yes - install [name].zip > wait for installation to complete > reboot system now.

I downloaded the DJ Steve zip from this link: http://www.streaksmart.com/2011/03/mirror2.streakdroid.com/djsteve336.zip
When I first tried to install the zip, I couldn't find it on the sdcard. I found an ADB tutorial at: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/adb-easy-tutorial/ which had the following example of how to move a file from your desktop to the Streak: "adb push something.txt /sdcard/something.txt" so I used that structure to move djsteve336.zip to the Streak.
Once I had it on the sdcard and tried to install it again, it aborted and gave me an error that the file was bad, so I deleted the file from the Streak.
Since it was giving me an error on the file itself, I didn't want to try to run it a second time. Is there another source for the file or an updated version of the file that I need to find, or another option for the .zip?
If the file itself is not the problem, can you tell from the info above what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
I trully think is a bad dl! Try dlding again!

I second what KenpoAP said; your download mught have been corrupted. Also, no need to ADB push files to your Streak. When you plug the USB in, you'll have the option to mount your Streak as a data drive on your PC/Mac (you'll have the option in the pull-down, notification panel). Do that and simply drag/drop the file where you want it. It's very handy for organising folders, music, etc. as well.
If you don't have a file manager on your Streak 7, I recommend getting ES File Explorer. It's free, and it can explore and r/w everything if you're rooted.

Good luck!

what do you mean by "Zip Backup"? the backup is a folder called something like "2013-mm-dd-hh.mm.ss"
and that folder should be placed in /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/
if it's a zip you downloaded off the net, then unzip it on your computer first, then push the folder to above location.

Its recognised as a zip on my PC although it cant be unzipped with 7zip or WinRar. if you go to manage and restore back ups in rom manager it lets you download a folder to your pc, cannot for the life of me figure out how to push it back to the phone so it can be recognised though.

1- what do you mean it can't be unzipped? where did you get it from
2- never used rom manager so no idea about that
3- use "adb push 2013-mm-dd-hh.mm.ss /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/2013-mm-dd-hh.mm.ss" to get the backup onto phone
When I connect my Note 4 to my PC via USB I can browse the folder structure but I can't drag and drop or copy/paste any files. What gives?
Also, I've tried in recovery mode to no avail. In fact, when I'm not in recovery mode I can't even see the files in the TWRP backup folders. In recovery mode I can see the files but I still can't copy them.
You should try using a file manager in recovery like this to move the files to your SD card.
