Does anyone know which bands the international version of this phone supports?
Thanks!

Nobody knows, waiting on the same thing, right now some stores in china are selling a "international version" of the phone but is the same phone just with CM12.1 and only have the LTE bands supported in china, not the ones we use in USA, so unless they release a US specific version LTE will not work on the US.
I tired to contact ZUK sales to confirm the bands, but no reply from them.
zuk.hk only shows chinese bands, but I can't believe they would release a phone to international markets without proper bands. That would be like shooting their own legs.
The chinese version would work for me though, only "semi-needed" band would be 4G band 20 (800MHz), which is quite new in Finland and used mainly outside bigger cities. Price of Z1 though is a killer, even though it is not as high spec'd as OnePlus Two, it is still an upgrade for OPO with cheaper price tag...
The only spec that the OnePlus 2 has higher than the Z1 is the CPU, but I prefer a SD 801 way more than a SD810 and his heating problems

What I've heard is that SD810 doesn't heat so much with the OnePlus 2, but maybe that's because it's underclocked (or that's what I've heard).
Other than that, they are quite similar. OnePlus 2 has 1GB more ram in the 64GB version though, but who needs 4gigs in a phone, really.... =)
But for me, ZUK Z1 seems like a good choice with bigger battery, USB-C 3.0 and cyanogen os out of the box. If I would buy these phones now, it would be (in euros):
OnePlus 2: ~425eur (incl. shipment) ~476USD
ZUK Z1: ~293eur (incl. shipment) ~328USD
hmm, not a hard choice
These are the bands:
TDD-LTE (bands: 38 39 40 41)
FDD-LTE (bands: 1 3 7)
TD- SCDMA (bands: 34 39)
WCDMA (850 900 1900 2100 MHz)
CDMA2000 (800MHz)
GSN/EDGE(850 900 1800 1900 MHz)
CDMA (800MHz)
There are quite a few reviews out now from people in the states. I saw one from zdnet this morning. And another from android headlines. It looks like they tried testing the device on T-Mobile and att and lte was not supported. From what I gather they got early release test devices that were in fact the international variant. So it looks like no lte for the states which is a major deal breaker. Otherwise this would have been the perfect phone for me.

My only hope is that they are testing the Chinese version with the International software..
There is no point in selling the international version to the US if it misses lte bands altogether..
I also hope that the new Zuk coming in January with the new Snapdragon will support all bands...
Is it me or all these international /Chinese brands always build the almost perfect phone? They get so close and mess up on the important stuff...

I was thinking the same thing. However I don't think missing the mark is just limited to the Chinese for example. The blu xl that just got released would have been absolutely perfect had it not been for it being 6 inches and bigger than the nexus 6! It is everything the new moto x pure is plus a finger print sensor for 349 US. Why in the hell they would stick with the sweet spot that everyone else is going with between 5.2 and 5.7 inches in beyond me. But yes lots of companies so close to the perfect phone this year. I can live without NFC even though I would really like to use Android pay. But no lte in the US is an absolute deal breaker.

Agreed.
Another example of a smaller brand getting almost everything right with the blu xl.
Blu has tons of phones and for their international debut they bring out this size "monster"..

Most likely they did test Chinese version with CM12.1 installed (not Cyanogen OS). There's bunch of sellers on Aliexpress that provide this phone with CM12.1 or similar ROM inside and Google Play also.
Still no confirmed information from Lenovo, ZUK or whatever, which brands are included in the "international" model. I agree that Chinese bands are a huge showstopper for US, but mainly OK for EU. Some bands missing, but nothing huge.

Here is the application from the FCC Website:
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...e=N&application_id=977164&fcc_id='A3LSHVE160S
This is the Korean unit that will be compatible with T Mobile I am still not convinced that we could not get 3g on the ones already out there. Again, this will be a snapdragon chip configuration like the SGS2 for TMO
I guess I have no choice but to hold off and get the Korean one even though my impatience is driving me crazy and wants to buy it now. I also saw that somebody posted the radio frequencies of the Netherlands one and it had all the bands but all I have is his picture to confirm it with no actual proof that I could find on the net.

I don't want it for the LTE I want it because i'm on tmobile and the korean one supposedly has the same chip as tmobiles sgs2 so I'd have a better chance getting 3g speeds on tmobile with the korean one.
The Korea model will be the first with NFC right? Or is the india model nfc enabled?
Hope this launches soon. I really need a NFC enabled Note ASAP.

1. FCC is USA only governing body for all wireless and wired communications - it has nothing to do with Korea, or any other country. Devices, which are designed for other countries than US do not get submitted to FCC.
2. I have reviewed all RF Exposure docs in that FCC listing like 2 weeks before you posted the link and I assure you there is no LTE radio on board and no LTE frequencies have been tested. Since it's officially confirmed by Samsung ST Telecom's Galaxy Note version will have LTE radio - even if we overlook the mere fact that FCC submission suggests this device is meant for US and not any other country - this device can't possibly be the korean version, since it doesnt have LTE radio.
3. According to the documentation this device doesnt even have 3G radio. It only has GSM, GPRS, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth.

Its supposed to have the same processor as Tmobiles SGS2 and from what I've heard the main reason they went with that processor is because it supports their HSPA+ 42 network the exynos processors don't

Other than different radio bands, are there any hardware difference? A local shop has a N9005 that supports AT&T LTE they claim but I haven't been able to confirm. Debating between this or actual AT&T model. Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks
The N9005 is missing bands 700/1700, so you won't be able to get LTE on AT&T.
Are there different regional versions of n9005? This version appears to be 16g.

From the REVIEWS I've been reading the US carriers will have Snap Dragon 800 processor (Quad Core) 2.3ghz vs. Samsung EXYNOS OctoCore processor running 1.9ghz. Also the LTE (US Version w/ Snap Dragon) will have 4K video processing, even though the NOTE 3 is only 1080P you can "CAPTURE" video in 4K.
With the RIGHT PLAYBACK and DISPLAY equipment you will be in for a treat with the 4K video!! :cyclops:
Has anyone actually tried an N9005 with an ATT SIM to see if they're able to get LTE?
I made the mistake of purchasing one online and it will arrive via FedEx tomorrow or Friday morning.
Not sure but seems like you'll be the first I've come across. Keep us posted, I know I'd like to know. I haven't bought a US Carriers phone in almost 2 years. If I end up buying the ATT variant are you able to uninstall the ATT apps that come pre-loaded? This is why I typically stick to buying international variants but now I'm hearing that international variants won't get LTE (which they never have) so my best shot will be to buy T-Mobiles or ATT's. I don't care about the bootloader being locked because I won't flash any ROMs or even Root for that matter. I just run my custom interface and use the device for the just about every feature it has.

People who buy Chinese phones like Xiaomi, usually get the Chinese version and install Google play or they wait for the international version?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Doesn't really matter, if you get the Chinese variant you can always flash the international version of the rom, although their unlock bootloader process is a bit cumbersome. If you want it on the Chinese ROM it's not just the matter of installing Google Play, you are missing Google Services Framework so you need to get that first.

I've been looking around to try and find out if it's available and can be used in Canada. I found the Canadian site http://xiaomi-mi.ca/ that claims to be an official Xiaomi site but every phone on there has a 5 star rating so I find this very suspect... I'm also not clear on the whole band thing as some companies discuss them as Band 1, band 2 and so on, and some use 1700/2100 MHz and so on. According to http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_5-6948.php the 1700/2100 band for LTE is covered.. I think it should work no problem if I read this all correctly.

Hmm interesting........ I have NO desire for the dual-SIM, HOWEVER.......... if the dual-sim version comes with VoLTE, then I will most certainly be interested in it!! I found out that, at least with my carrier (T-Mobile, I live in the Chicago area in the U.S.), even though the XP has Band 12/700 MHz capability, because it doesn't have VoLTE (single-sim), it WILL NOT be able to utilize Band 12 for voice during phone calls, only the data portion can be used on Band 12 during a call. But with VoLTE, I'd be able to use Band 12 for voice too............which is important because my area is going to have it very soon! Band 12/700 MHz spectrum is very valuable b/c it can penetrate buildings much better than the higher bandwidths can, which means BETTER reception while indoors! :victory: Right now it doesn't matter, but in 6-8 months when we WILL have it, it will.
2 questions:
1) Are YOU getting your dual-sim version of the XP from Expansys HK?
2) The 16th? As in JUNE 16th kms??!!

I'm still considering the X or XP, The X will be available on the 7th whiles the XP is on the 16th, I think I heard the shop say this, but can't confirm yet, but it is before mid of this month for both.
If I do get one it will be from a local chain store in Hong Kong, that way I can inspect the unit before hand for scratches, dead pixels and other cosmetic defect or problem, HK only has the dual sim version, the second sim is a hybrid sim/micro sd, but that isn't a problem as I can get them both working together.
Once either one is released I can check for you, about the VoLTE, but cannot check the bands.
Initial finding of the bands for XP and X are:
LTE FDD 700/800/850900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600
LTE TDD 1900/2300/2500/2600
WCDMA 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100

kms,
Yeah I've already confirmed the XP has Band 12/700 MHz capability, so don't worry about that. But getting a version of the XP that HAS VoLTE would be VERY important to me! I HATE it when other people around me can get reception indoors but I can't (it doesn't happen often, but it does happen). Having VoLTE would most likely eliminate this from happening the majority (if not ALL) the time.
That's fine. The one from the store will be the same as the dual-sim one from Expansys HK anyway.
So THIS month?!! :good::victory: That's f'ing awesome!!! Yeah we won't get the the single-sim XP here in the U.S. 'til I dunno, early to mid July? So even if I have to pay more for dual-sim, to have it extra early and WITH VoLTE would be extraordinary!! Man I REALLY HOPE the dual-SIM version of the XP has VoLTE!
Ok so say it does have it...........is there any reason to think it might not work here in the U.S. kms??!

HK expansys is likely to get the Hong Kong version, it's also a 64GB version, the only reason for not working in the US is the band, the band is 700, but there are various version of the 700 band, so not sure if this is the band 12.

Ughh you're right about the dual-sim one having 64 GBs! I don't need the 64GB version, like I don't need the extra SIM slot lol, but F it, whatever. IF this f'ing phone ACTUALLY has VoLTE on it, then I'll buy it. FML lol
Well wait a minute. There's a Hong Kong version? I don't think so kms..........the single-sim one I pre-ordered from Expansys US is the INTERNATIONAL version. Expansys US' own customer service people told me that they ONLY sell the international versions (unless otherwise noted). So I think the one you guys are getting will be the INTERNATIONAL version kms, but it'll be sold there in HK. Both the single and dual SIM versions of the XP (F8131 & F8132) have Band 12/700 MHz. So I don't see why it would be any different here vs. in Hong Kong to be honest with you.
RockStar2005 said:
Ughh you're right about the dual-sim one having 64 GBs! I don't need the 64GB version, like I don't need the extra SIM slot lol, but F it, whatever. IF this f'ing phone ACTUALLY has VoLTE on it, then I'll buy it. FML lol
Well wait a minute. There's a Hong Kong version? I don't think so kms..........the single-sim one I pre-ordered from Expansys US is the INTERNATIONAL version. Expansys US' own customer service people told me that they ONLY sell the international versions (unless otherwise noted). If you can confirm the information is correct, then it's ok, extra internal memory is bettery, even 32Gb is getting slightly small these days, so the more the better.

Yeah but I already HAVE a 64 GB MicroSD card in my phone now, so I don't need the extra room, and won't be using it either.
Confirm what information kms??

If the information about the version you are about to get is correct, thats what matters.

You mean the single-sim one I pre-ordered, that it IS in fact the international version?? If so, I've already confirmed that with Expansys US. They told me they only sell the int'l version of phones UNLESS otherwise noted. Here is a copy & paste of their e-mailed response to me on that topic:
This would be the international version, please let us know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Dulce
So kms, if that's what they sell, then the dual-SIM (F8132) model YOU'RE getting will also be int'l, so it will come with Band 12/700 MHz capability on it as well, which that page I linked you earlier confirmed. What I don't get is why the F8132 would have VoLTE on it but the single-sim F8131 wouldn't? But if your prediction is true, then I don't give a sh*t. lol I just want that f'ing phone!! lol

Volte won't work unless sony actually certifies the process with the carriers they intend to have it with. Volte will not work like the z5 didn't.

Ok.
So what do you think MGS? Get the XP with the best camera but can't utilize Band 12 for voice on a call (so can't benefit from its improved indoor reception advantage) & no HD Voice, or get the HTC 10 which still has a very good camera and has the Band 12/VoLTE/HD Voice advantage? Tough choice, for me anyway.

Ethically I'd say htc 10 as htc wants your money as they listen to their fans for the most part and go the extra mile supporting all carrier features. On the other hand I'm a big sony fan and enjoy the value of their hardware but let's be honest sony really doesn't care about us. They force us to buy international versions to get full features and gimp us phones without giving us legitimate reasoning. Have you ever talked to sony mobile support they are as clueless as we are.

You make some valid points MGS.
The fact that HTC STILL sells their phones through all the major carriers is an advantage all its own. I can go onto T-Mobile's website and buy the HTC 10 RIGHT NOW if I wanted to.
Yeah I mean, I can't lie, I love Sony's Xperia phones the most. But I am at wit's end here with all this hassle I have to go through to buy the d*mn thing, and then in dealing with the BS that comes with the actual phone. The int'l version is cheaper (yet better) and is coming out sooner than the U.S. version, so I don't really care about that. But this VoLTE thing really p's me off cuz I won't get the BEST reception with it even though I really should. Plus having to buy it unlocked is dumb too.
Oh dude, JUST the other day I spoke to them. They LITERALLY know nothing more about why the supreme morons that run that company do what they do than we do. Is it really THAT hard to get the phone certified? I mean, if you're not gonna offer people the chance to pay for it on a monthly basis (like carriers do) interest-free, and not release it on time (f'ing July??!), the LEAST you could do is go that extra mile and get the d*mn thing certified for VoLTE and HD Voice too.
So your answer is HTC 10 or XP? lol

Hi guys, I've noticed a lot people (both US and Canada) using the Tencent version of the phone (ie 8GB, 128GB).
I don't want the Tencent versions, I want the 12GB international version, however Asus still has no info availability in Canada.
Since some US stores are now carrying the 12GB US version of the ROG phone, is there any drawback to me ordering one and shipping it to Canada? Will OTA still work?

Hi,
I bought mine (non-Tencent) from bhphotovideo. I am receiving OTA updates without issues in Canada.
It's a great phone, but yes, it is heavy and bulky.
Loving that screen and those stereo speakers, though!

Koodo; no issues getting a 4G signal.
Never noticed any red tint.
The camera is fine, but not the biggest selling point. I'm no photographer, so I'm pleased with what is offered with the two lenses.
I'm in Canada with both the Tencent model and US model from Bh video. Both work perfectly under Bell and SaskTel networks 4G+ LTE. OTA updates work flawlessly on both and performance is identical on the two. Only advantage is storage capacity on the US model and extra LTE bands
Hopefully we will receive the Android 10 update just as quickly, should it ever come to this phone...

Good to know. I guess the VoLte doesn't affect Canadians so much. Current using Mate 20 X. And it's STELLER. This phone looks interesting though.
