If you're using XZ dual recovery, then it's because on 5.1 the paths are changed so the recovery won't mount system partition >> unmounted system = nothing can be flashed. A user fixed the issue, it's posted on the last pages of XZDR thread. "nut" will make it official anytime now. Install the fix via PC and flash away.

Can you please send me the link? I cant find it. Any solution as well witout PC? And flash in fastboot or flashboot?

Let me know if it works and how you done it that would be great thanks
Working with flyhalfs touch (CWM) version, everything is fine.
After flashing the recovery u should fastboot erase cache.
If u got no rom on SD u should connect an OTG before booting into recovery and flash zip from external sd.

erasing the cache solved the problem. thanks helmut!
Mine still not having it it's saying tampered and unlocked any ideas
Flash this
Then flash it from cmd with
Code:
fastboot flash recovery CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img
Code:
fastboot erase cache
If there are still problems, rename CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img to "recovery.img" and use the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
LG, Helmut

When you flash the recovery.img, was it successful and did you wipe the cache afterward?
Are you able to enter the bootloader then select Recovery, does it try to enter recovery then reboots?

Did you end up getting it to work?
Cheers!

according to the TWRP thread, it doesn't seem to be supported yet
I've got the same problem with the non working recovery. I now tried the CWM Touch AND Classic Recovery v6.0.3.0.
I tried to flash them with the All in One Tool by Hasoon 2000 and also manually with CMD commands (fastboot flash recovery & afterwards fastboot erase cache). It always said flash successful, but it's not able to boot into recovery.
I've got a Swiss HTC One Branded by Swisscom (which seems to use a vodafone CID: VODAP110).
My Build Number is 1.28.161.7 CL162357 release-keys
may that cause the problem?
I somehow got it to work. I didn't make any changes (that I can remember) but I tried it the next day again, booting into recovery with the HTC One (M7) All-In-One Toolkit V1.0, and it just worked!
Hopefully you guys can get it to work somehow too!
HA! I finally got it.
Just don't try to flash recovery as recovery, flash it as a boot img. CWM touch and TWRP was NOT working for me, but normal CWM does.
But it seems to be some issues with ADB, so please wait until i got my Guide ready

[Q] Recovery wont mount storage

I'm on a C6603 with an Unlocked Bootloader running 10.5.A.0.230 from an FTF flash.
I flashed this recovery's boot.img via fastboot and it worked fine. Went in to recovery and it can't flash anything. The internal storage only shows default folders but it claims they are all empty. SD Card wont mount at all, when I click on it it just hangs for like 30 seconds then errors saying unable to mount. I'm guessing this may be due to not flashing the full zip and only the boot.img? If so, how do I go about flashing the full zip since my recovery wont find it? I amen't rooted since I can't flash the SU APK & Binary zip in recovery...
Any ideas on how to fix recovery then gain root? (I'm having the battery drain issue and I can't live with like 2 hours screen off time)

Download the AndroidOne from the OP links, if that's
What you downloaded, then reflashed it using firmware
Upgrade in SP flash tool.
Will it wipe the internal memory of the device coming from 5.1.1 Android One ? and can it work as a dirty flash without wiping anything?
What if I have stock android one ROM from infinix mobility. Do I still have to flash the stock ROM in your post ?

I did a readback with SP flash tool on my stock AndroidOne
Firmware 5.1.1 but when I flashed it back it didn't really
Work out fine. The one that worked was adb push worked
So you might have to try backing up with adb push.
I didn't tryout a dirty flash with SP flash tool but
Since you are using AndroidOne firmware already
Try flashing this AndroidOne firmware Uploaded by
Me on top of yours with SP flash tool this time you
Just select Download only and deselect cache,
Userdata or even system. After the flash is
Complete, remove your battery and put it back,
Try booting in recovery manually and see if it can
Enter recovery. If not power up your phone back.
Your data won't be lost.

Please be very careful with SP flash tool format option
Only attempt formating any phone with SP flash tool
If it's bricked.
If your phone has AndroidOne one ROM already (5.1.1)
Use download only and if you can't manually boot into
Recovery use firmware upgrade. If you are coming from
Infinix ROM 5.1 use firmware upgrade.
Download only - deletes emmc without formating the
Partition
Firmware upgrade - deletes and reformat all partitions
Apart from the bootloader and protected partitions.
I can't still boot to recovery manually...I have done it with firmware upgrade yet I can't boot to recovery manually but I can boot to recovery manually when I flash the 1gb ram Stock rom i.e 5.1 but the original rom that came with the phone is android one rom i.e 2gb ram 5.1.1 and I couldn't boot to recovery manually when I flash the stock rom, I have to use application to boot to recovery but it was not like that before I got the phone bricked..
NOTE: sometimes we can't flash a rom with download only or firmware upgrade without formatting...it has happened to me severally..... Sp flash tool will give me this error "PMT.ifo......." meaning you have to Format before flashing with downloads only or firmware upgrade option.

Why I say don't format is a good precaution esp. To
Those who are new or not well experience with flashing.
If you dare flash manually or flash the bootloader you
Can permanently brick your phone!
PMT means Partition Mgt Table - it doesn't necessarily
Means you should format. It's just informed you that
There are differences between the phone's partition
Table and the scatter file partition of the Rom you're
About to Flash.
Formatting is the simpler but the most risky way to go
About it.
There are other advanced, risk-free and better ways of
Going about it.

You have flashed a recovery image to your boot partition, so it always boots to recovery. You need to flash a boot image to the boot partition.
But why do you want recovery if you won't flash anything to your phone?
By flashing recovery, you are doing exactly that anyway.
You have an unlocked bootloader, so you may as well flash an advanced stock kernel. It is stock kernel with twrp built into the boot.img. Check android development section.
thank you
since i know that i can't boot recovery without flashing, i have no other option as to flash.
can't i flash it to FOTA partition?
i have 10.7.A.0.222 firmware and need root access but like to do it manually
You can't boot directly to FOTA on XZ. Need modified boot.img or flash twrp to boot (like you did before). Then while in TWRP, flash Supersu.zip to get root. Afterwards flash kernel only in flashtool to get stock boot back
