Hey everyone, so today I tried turning on my mobile data on my HTC One M7 but it was not turning on so I decided to reboot the phone because that usually works but then when the phone restarted it could not get past the HTC ONE logo.
Now, my phone is not rooted and I do not have any custom rom, I only update my Lollipop with updates from HTC.
I have tried everything. I have tried the Shine a bright light trick, I have booted into recovery and done a factory reset and wiped the cache, I have done every possible action in the bootloader menu nothing is working.
PS - Unlike most cases I have come across, my phone is not rebooting it is just stuck at the LOGO. Someone please help or direct me to somewhere I can get help.
Thanks in Advance

My htc vivid stopped turning on for a good day.... Left it there on the charger. Still didn't turn on. Then one day out of the blue I tried it and it turned on again. I'm able to get Bootloader and Recovery to work. But there is another problem too it. ((When I try and reboot my phone my screen gets stuck on htc screen)). So I try and factory reset my phone another problem occurs it says "unable to mount /emmc" something like that. And nothing else mounts. So now Im unable to factory reset and im stuck with an htc screen.. I don't know what to do..
This is quiet frustrating. Ive spent all day trying to find something that works or that can help me and ive got nothing...
Can someone help me out?
Thanks.
Im using an HTC Vivid. Previous ROM that I remember was Pac-Man JB..
It stopped working one day randomly when my phone died...
You'll need to relock your boot loader and run your carriers ruu. Then, unlock your boot loader and flash a good recovery (NOT CWM). Then reflash the ROM of your choice
hi tried unlocking my bootloader worked fine then tried rooting phone worked fine installed custom rom phone went into htc logo and stayed there.
can get to bootloader tried recovery just ends up back to htc logo same when factory reset ends back to htc logo. when i plug phone into computer phone comes up fastboot usb but does not show up on my computer so i dont know how to get rid of this custom rom and install another one or the original one pls help. tried installing latest drivers they show up in device manager but my phone does not show up
Hi, I am new to the whole flashing rom.
I had my HTC One unlocked, rooted via TWRP, and flashed a HTC One Maximus HD rom. After followed through the installation. It rebooted the phone, and it just stuck in fastboot screen. I tried to go into recovery but it just restart the phone and went back to fastboot screen. Same thing happened when I tried to factory reset. I can't even let my computer recognize my phone when I plug it in. I looked through some forum but nothing seems to help.
Could somebody shine some light for me

Thank you for your post. It has been very helpful. I do not have OTG cable, is there another way around it or that's something I def need.
I don't mind getting it, but I am just wondering
I noticed that my phone was resetting by itself and it would freeze at the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" screen. After awhile the phone does boot up but, it will then reset after a couple minutes. I tried to hard reset the phone but when I do it, it goes right back to the fastboot menu and won't let me factory reset. It's not rooted at all, I got the latest update for the phone two days ago.
If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciate it.

Hey guys,
My stock (unlocked) M7 has been stuck trying to boot up since I turned it off and on again this morning. I have never tried to install any custom OS.
I can get to the recovery screen, but clearing the cache didn't help. When that didn't work, I did a factory reset. When I reboot, I get to a screen that says "Android is updating - Starting apps.", and then that screen gets stuck too.
Any ideas?
