Hello everyone.
I got my phone 6 months now,my camera was good as far as I noticed. But this summer I went to camp on the beach and after I came back I noticed that the pictures I took with my phone doesnt look well,I cleaned the lens more than onces.but no result.
I must say, that I swimed with my phone and maybe be went for more than 1m underwater. So maybe the pressure causes the problem ?
If anyone has similar problem or know what exacly the problem is please let me know.
Here are some pictures taken with my phone after the problem.

Thank you and have a good day !
??Holy haze Batman! That looks like a turtle dove crapped on your camera lens!
But in all seriousness, if you were at the beach, chance are that your lense is scuffed from being in your pocket or what not while there was sand in there. It happened to my wife. Sand is massively pervasive. It gets everywhere and fast.
Think about it. When you got back from the beach. Did not 10lbs of sand fall from your but crack in the shower?
Also, if it was a ocean beach, the salt in the air can get behind the lense and cause this. Though, I don't believe that is a common occurrence.

LOL,thanks for your reply mate.
Yeah,I guess you're right with the salt thing.I were there for 20 days which quit enough.
Since,I think I found what the problem is,what about the solution ?
Should I open it and clean the lens. If this is the case, any advances how to do so ? Because I have never open it before and I dont want to mess it up of course.

Suddenly I don't feel very well
Mike
The large amount of rubber and metal there, I can live with. It's the hole in the tooth that's making my stomach turn...
I'with you Mike, I think I'm going to be sick now.
hahaha
I'm glad I'm working in a hospital. You'll get used to thing like this.
The quality is pretty good. Are you using Navdavi's camera driver?

OMG LOL! That rocks, tyvm sir.
The quality is actually pretty good, didnt realise the hole in the tooth is THAT big!?!
I trust you were pretty numb round there to not care right?
Perhaps there may be a similar thing developed for the Hermes??? (wishfull thinking)
Did you use bluetooth to transfer the picture?

No pun intended of course!
Good camera skills on taking it under those conditions.
I had one of those about 17 years ago. I can still hear the drill in my sleep.
At least he shot me up with enough novocaine that I never felt anything.
Or anything else for 4 hours after he was finished.

it wasnt so much the drill that was bothersome, as all the needle type things they use. they just stick needles in and out and in and out of the hole 1 after 1. then they burn one needle till its hot and turned orange and they burn my tooth lol.
the drilling lasted about 2 minutes all together.
Why is it that when I have to sneez real bad, the only solution is to stare up into the sky at a flaming ball of gas we call the sun? Don't get me wrong, it works, but do I really have to risk blindness just for the sweet release of my 60mph spit? There is no worse feeling then a trapped sneez, I agree, but I'm 26 and I have glasses as thick as Coke bottles (For you younger ones, Coke bottles used to be made of thick glass) Then again, I have watched a few solar eclipses' in my day, so that could be caused by a pre existing condition. Never the less, it works so I'll keep chasing that euphoric feeling of nirvana I get from the ever so good feeling of sneezing. Damned if its night time, but otherwise thank you Mr. Sun, thank you!! (No problem Mike, but I'm over here)

No but you can test it for us and let us know. Do a 3ft drop, 5ft drop, skid across the pavement to get a good sample.
Not yet and I'm afraid I will some day. I've dropped my Kindle fire multiple times. It's built like a s**the brickhouse with gorilla glass. I like the nexus 7 a lot better but am pretty sure it'll break real easily.
Yep from counter top about 3.5'feet onto face, but I had the things across corner to hold in case so wasn't a flat fall. Nothing wrong, kicking ass and chewing bubble gum.

I dropped mine and the back partially snapped off. I freaked the **** out lol. Snapped it back though, no damage done
This device is build like a tank I wouldn't worry. You can even smash it against the wall and only the back will go flying lose. Best tablet build ever.

Thats when i made the obvious and took a look at the back of the phone to see if the camera was dirty.
Well, i sure was surprised!
(that metal ring is just for the smal magnetic objectives.)
What do you think ? is that a Water dmg? Did anything like this happen to anyone before ?
P.S yes i know... there are a lot of black dots... -.- should RMA that thing...
Ya i think it's water.. Have you tested it in water
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
you mean taking an underwater picture? did few times before, but not when this happened, and not afterwards.
Then water must have leaked into it some how and because of the heat water is getting evaporated. Put it under dhal for a day or teo while al d chaging headset ports are open.

It's gone !
it really were just waterdrops, and the evaporated over time. So it's back to normal now! phew....

Picture shows that your back glass is clearly lifted. Just a heads up before you wet the phone again.
My cousin had this problem and it is technical and opened to dry (clean)

How long did it take to dissapear? Any way to speed up the process.
Bro ,
First question where did you get that camera ring [metal one] from , and how did you stick it .
Coming to your question , Did u try an hair dryer ? Well, you can try to open it up and wipe it off and stick back in with glue.
That's glued.
For camera lens attachment, about 10$ on eBay.
Hair dried is a bad idea. To much heat is bad for battery. Better to let it stay in a bowl of dry rice.
If you do nothing it takes about 1-3 days to fully disappear.

I was wondering if anyone knew if any manufacturer was making quality waterproof cases like the Lifeproof or Seidio Obex line cases...
This is one thing I am always jealous of iPhone users.. the wealth of accessories available to them.
I usually go w/o a case, but when I go on a trip, hiking, beach, lake, etc.. I like to have some extra protection for when I take my phone out for some pics/videos..
Alas, it is always difficult to find a quality case in this respect.
I doubt it. No Nexus has never had one that I know of

Just kidding, I'm hoping too. I use my phone for rifle competition and at least a rain and dust proof case would be great. The ol' ziploc "case" gets old.

LOL! Well, you have to do what you have to do. I never thought about using ziploc bags. I will keep that in mind. As for a regular case, I won't be using one. I think the phone is grippy enough to not slip too much if it's like the N5

I've had a friend try using a ziplock bag and water got in and his phone stopped working, for what it's worth.

Noted. I may do the double ziplock bag method to be extra safe

Reviving this to see if anyone had found anything.
I do use the ziplocks for the beach and whatnot but that is really "splash proof"
What I would like is a diving case, something that is good to a few meters.
This is by far the best option out there IMO
Liquipel
Thanks but I was hoping for a case instead. It doesnt even have ot be hard like a fitted Otter, but if it were a small baggier or something I would want it to be truly waterproof and be able to trigger a camera shutter
What about something like this? My girlfriend use something similar when she went hiking around a river with some small waterfalls with some friends. She said it was great and kept out all the moisture. She was even able to take pictures with it because the bag allowed the touch screen to work.
I may pull the trigger and hope that the fingerprint scanner works through it (it does through a ziplock) because our buttons being on the side makes it really hard to wake the phone.
