Hi,
Is ROOT(ing) possible without re-install the whole phone?
Information and links are welcome
Use kingroot, its on xda.
Then use super sume to remove the Chinese elements and replace with SuperSU.
Thanks for you suggestion!
Unfortunately it does not work on my (SM-G800F) Phone even it is listed as a supported device.
Also no luck with the KingRoot v3.0 Desktop version.
Anyone have the knowledge for rooting this phone whithout re-install everithing on it?
Sorry I too have an 800F and its worked a great for me.
I used version 4.5 of kingroot

Just reboot into odin, and flash this auto tool

Thanks for the link.
The file you mention is normaly for the smg900h (S5) but I have the smg800f (S5 mini).
I think it's not possible to use 'H' on a 'F' version!?

If we use @Chainfire methode to root our device, do we need to re-install all our apps as it would on a new clean install or wil all our apps still be there after a re-boot ?
No you will NOT loose any data.

So sorry for the late reply. No the chainfire method does not wipe any data or applications. Just flash the file and it will root and do everything itself. Hench the name "autoroot."
Thanks for making this clear!
Okay, so we need to use ODIN v3.xx and put the phone in download mode by pressing Vol-Down + Home + Power button till it comes into recovery mode, having ODIN already running with administrator rights and than plug-in the micro-usb cable.
I guess we need to use PDA button to load the file, do we have to tick other options as well ?
Thanks for the help !!!!

Hi, I'm a little bit confused here. Are we talking about the same context, i.e., an SM-G800[x] running Android 5.1.1? The landing page of the official repository states explicitly that "CF-AUTO-ROOT IS CURRENTLY NOT OPERATIONAL FOR ANDROID 6.0+, OR SAMSUNG ON ANDROID 5.1+".
Besides that, the download page doesn't list Lollipop versions, only 4.4.x.
Cheers
@RGold55
Yes there is only 4.4.2 supported
Read the obove text line: CF-Auto-Root Repository

So you did ok by rooting your G800 KK Android, as I did to mine last year, with that very same flashable. But, alas, CF-Autoroot for Lollipop is still in the dream stage.

In other threads similiar questions occured but however remained unanswered. I hope someone can help me out.

First of all: which model Tab S2 do you have? You need the the recovery that matches you Tab model. I also used the latest SuperSU beta, link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
1. I first flashed MM 6.0.1 using Odin, the I booted.
2. Flashed TWRP (latest) via Odin.
3. Booted into recovery and flashed SuperSU and Xposed. Everything seems to work fine.

Thank you for your reply, but I already sorted it out. I flashed the CF autoroot from this link https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ and it works perfectly. No need to flash twrp.
Sorry to resurrect this but since this thread largely answers me I just had one question.
Autoroot's website says :
UNLOCK BOOTLOADERS
If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device
I have the SM-T710 running stock OTA 6.0.1. Website says brick if bootloader is locked. Just trying to clarify if I can run Autoroot or not. Having lost a PC this week I don't want to add a tablet to the graveyard.
You'll be fine.

Correct me if I m wrong, I think what Ideveraux wish to say is that:
1. this is a community forum instead of a customer service site. We are all beneficiaries of SuperSU, not consumers who are somewhat righteous to make demands.
2. I understand you don't mean it, but your first post does feel like how a boss address demand a portfolio from his employeee. In this community, you would get much more welcome if you start a request with "can I ", " may I" and "please".
But still, CF does check this forum regularly and maybe your phone model will be included in his next CF-Auto-tool update. Stay tuned

First you have to Flash TWRP recovery. CWM recovery doesn't work with j210f till date. Then you have to flash TWRP using odin. Then finally install root from TWRP. I have all the files and i explain to you step wise if you are really interested. IT doesn't take more than 5 or 6 minutes to do the whole process once you have all the files ready.

Hello, I have successfully rooted and installed twrp on my Samsung sm-j210f, SDK23 ArmV71. Everything was proper but when I opened xposed installer it said me to update/ install to latest version which is 88.2. When I clicked on update it downloaded a file. And when I clicked on install it gave a pop up to install via recovery or not so I clicked on install via recovery and then my phone booted into twrp recovery mode and it automatically installed xposed framework and restarted device and while starting my device stucked in bootloop. I luckily had xposed uninstaller downloaded. So I uninstalled it and started my device and tried installing xposed framework again but no lucks, it didn't worked. Where else on my another phone which is moto g4 plus, when I rooted it and opened xposed installer it said xposed framework version 88.2 is active. But on my samsung j5 2016(sm-j210f, SDK23 ArmV71) there was an orange colored error which said xposed framework version 87 is installed but not active. Please check logs for more details. Please help. Your any suggestion would be helpful. Thank you:fingers-crossed:

OK so I got impatient waiting for an answer and used the root guide sticky in the Note 4 General section for the N910T except I updated a couple things. Samsung USB drivers installed: v1.5.63.0 and used Odin3 v3.12.3 to install the cf-auto-root file (latest from site) and then installed recovery TWRP 3.1.1
I think I'm going to stop now to backup things with titanium backup, then update to latest ROM+baseband. Hopefully can find it. Not fond of the search on this site.

[SM-N910*] CF-Auto-Root is still the best rooting method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/sm-n910-cf-auto-root-t2897428
This is an unrooted 100% Stock J320AUCU3BQI5 firmware.
Working on all exynos j3 models!! (You first need root and to flash with flashfire)
AG models will probably need to enable oem unlock in dev options.
Download
As I said no root, but you can always downgrade back to mm if you need root.
Btw the eng_ root kernel won't boot the system, but it will let you mount as RW and you can edit things thru adb... someone figure out root on this thing!
Thanks to @Iurop for testing AG
@DamienMc thanks for assist me and help me. My J320AG now works with Nougat 7.1.1 without any problem.

Hi lurop thanks for your reply! but i have another question to flash nougat file do i have to root or i dont have to
Hi, yes you have to root the phone following the method posted above. Then install flashfire and use it to flash the rom.
Have you do something similar already?
If you do not wish to root and your device is the A or AZ model you can update with Odin.
I fixed and uploaded the full firmware @Iurop provided. You can find that here
Finally got time to mess around with root...and unfortunately we do need a new eng_boot.
But fortunately, like I mentioned, we can still use our old eng_root boot to acquire a root shell.
Btw noticed this Rom does not update stock recovery. I'll package up a fix for it tomorrow, if anyone actually cares

I care. Thanks for your time and effort; I can imagine that it (developing) seems rather thankless at times, but your contributions are definitely appreciated.

Until now my J320ag works perfectly, no problem at all, phone, sms, internet, app everything run absoluttely fine.
Thanks @DamienMc
I wonder if I could port this to the J320FN?
stock recovery patch
I'll update the rom one day, but this patch is the easiest way to update things...
To apply you must use your pc, use Odin to flash the included eng_root kernel. When it boots the logo will remain onscreen, after two minutes or so you can click the recovery.bat and let it do its thing.
is this rom have arbic ?
tested and working like charm, is there any tool etc for add arbic etc ?
Cant be ported to J320F because of different Chipset, right?

I never had time to look into adding extra languages, and afaik more locale doesn't support Arabic (plus it doesn't translate everything)

Correct, will not work. Most importantly tho they don't have a nougat kernel. And if they did, they'd have their own stock rom... Sorry @Diamond26

Isn't eng_boot.tar just a boot.img? Could we extract build.prop from the Nougat ROM and the boot.img from the firmware to update the Root_J320A.zip in your root thread?
@DJJosephJumper
That method will work, we just can't boot while rooted with the stock boot. We need a permissive boot. if you edit that root like you mentioned, it'll only boot to the logo with a working shell. Su commands work there, so it will with with permissive.
Eng_root will do the same, boot to logo only with a rooted shell
