[Q] XPERIA T LT30 | Touch not working

silly me was talking on the phone in a rain storm to ask my brother to pick me up, then pocketed the phone, after a while to check time I took my phone out, the screen was getting dimmer, and dimmer. It came to a point after 24 hours that I couldn't see anything on the screen, though I get messages, calls, listen to music (obviously no changes), touch wasn't recognized. So I took it like around 10 phone repair shops, all couldn't fix, did some research and ordered a FULL LCD (Sony LT30a Xperia T - Complete Display+Front+Touchscreen-MINT) from Berlin, Germany. Got here and was excited to install it, (have experience in phone hardware installation). After the installation, started the phone and finally screen is back YAY! Came to the setup screen, choosing a language and touch isn't working. So I thought maybe I need to do a complete clean (OS, memory, cache) up, I did it with sony PC companion, took 30 mins. Still don't have touch. I did some research and they talk about digitizes etc. I know I have full LCD so I don't know why.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S didn't send it Sony because I called them and they said it is liquid damage, no physical or chemical damage (what a warranty) ..

[Q] Xperia Z wont stop vibrating

My Xperia Z started to act weird from two days ago, when it started to vibrate during all the time.
I restarted the phone, discharged the battery and recharged it again but it does not help me at all. It keeps vibrating even when the phone is turned off and it seems that it will never stop.
Did you guys had any similar issue?
Plzzz somebody help me:crying::crying::crying:
Did you tried a hard reset?(hold power and Vol Up at least 15 seconds)
And if i understand right, it vibrates too if you shut it down, or only from boot on?

No,not immersed in water.
I now that it seems crazy but the problem started in my pocket when the phone was together with my bio-metric passport for a couple of hours. Maybe it s caused from the chip of the passport?!
I want to share another fact with you:
Always before having this issue when I was pressing the phone from both sides with two fingers close to the menu button it starts vibrating but stops immediately after releasing it. I don't know if it happens to all Xperia Z mobile phones.
Thanks

Doesn't happen on mine.
Maybe you should Send it to a Service Center or go to the shop where you bought it and ask for warranty. Did you Already tried to re-flash Stock Rom using FT?
Try flashing an old 4.1.1 one, it could be the NFC sensor. The downgrade will Also downgrade the NFC software. It may help.
If I should upload mine 4.1.1. ftf, just ask.

no, NFC does not interact with vibrator motor. That two devices is so separated
Sony must replace your phone in any reason. That's definitely sony fault.
Just had the same problem, My sony Z is a repaired one just over a month old. It is Always in a Leather Case. Just 15 min ago the Phone just started vibrating (thought it was a call) non stop. Turned the Phone off but didn't stop. Turned it on again but nothing changed.
meanwhile searched the web for solutions, only thing i could find that it was hardware related.
Since the Phone is little to big for my pocket i thought it could be from flexing the Phone or something like that. So i put it back in it's case, and put it flat on my hand and gave it a firm tap on the back with my other hand. The 2nd try was succesfull and the Phone stopped vibrating.
Checked if normal vibration still works and found no problems.
My experience with the latest Phones is getting worse with every model they (HTC / Sony) release. Feels like the phones suffer more and more from stupid (hardware) problems. Looks like the Urge of releasing a new model every half year is showing its flaws...
Mine vibrating too and getting worse!
The store guy told me it was the cover I had it in. Bollocks. The cover has been off for two weeks and still it vibrates! Seems to be worse if I charge it via a USB charger in my car. Related perhaps? I just tried the suggested holding down of power and volume and it has stopped vibrating. Fingers crossed! Glad I'm not the only one but need a fix
same thing here. my phone is vibrating RIGHT NOW!
my z3 is dual sim model the D6633. only 2 weeks old.
the phone first stop working on the touch screen. phone would not react to any finger. so when its locked, i can use the camera button to wake up and take pictures. still will not respond when i touch it.
then the phone getting warm at top area near the headphone.
so i google it how to turn off z3 with button, so i did, power+ volume
when phone turn back on, no screen. only a black screen with back lighting on. i can tell when i put phone right infront my eye.
then the phone start vibrate!!! none stop vibrate.
at this moment, i CAN turn off the phone with power+ volume but WON'T stop the vibrate.
really need a help, im in US and purchase this Z3 from NEWEGG and it is a DUAL SIM model, can i get warranty in SONY retail store????
GOD! why me
vibration problem
Hello,
I had the same problem.
Sony claims that there products are waterproof.
We as customers like that and want to try it out.
Maybe not in a swimming pool but at least clean it under de faucet.
That should be no problem, it is waterproof right!!!
After a while this vibration problem occur to your device.
Because none of these solutions help to stop this problem I decide to open my Xperia Z2.
My surprise was that I saw very small tracks of water inside!
Then I put it in the hot sun while it was open en the problem disappeared.
My conclusion:
It is NOT waterproof en a small short circuit causes the vibration problem.

[Q] Phone keeps shutting down. Three vibrations

My Xperia Sp brought on contract from EE was working fine until earlier this week. The phone had 30% charge left when the phone shutdown. When i went to turn it back on, the phone vibrated three times and nothing happened. I tried plugging the phone into the mains and charging but the phone kept vibrating in a series of three vibrations. I tried the common answer to any problem with this phone and held the power off button at the back in and pressed the on button but this didn't work. I have also tried other combos such as the one Sony emailed me which was to hold power up followed by the on button but this did not work. The next day the phone magically turned on and i used this as an opportunity to back up my data off the internal memory and re-flash the stock android 4.3(12.1.A.0.266). The phone lasted a couple of hours but then did the same as before and kept vibrating. I left the phone a bit and when i got it to power on again, i flashed android 4.1.2 (12.0.A.2.245) onto the phone. The phone worked for only an hour before shutting down again and not turning on. I have tried various shops in my town, the first said they think it is software but they couldn't fix it, the second said it is a battery issue but they would have to order in a new battery and I also tried EE who refused to even look at it as my contract didn't come with warranty. Sony have emailed me back asking me to send it off to them, but i have no proof of purchase so that is out of the question. I have also searched Google for hours trying to find a solution but the only on that sounded remotely like my issue was apparently a sleep problem, but this is clearly not the case. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give to me about this issue. Thanks in advance to any help given
Phone is vibrating when you push and hold the off button under the back of the phone, it may be broken and its hardware issue, you must take it to sony centre

I brought the phone last october after my first sp(red) stopped charging as the usb port got damaged. I have used that button loads of times before using pens, pins and even a ds stylus to use it. The slight cover on that button has gone as a result.

Sony Xperia SP black screen without any reaction after intense RAM usage

Hello there everyone! The case happened to me today morning and I have no idea what to do. Basically the whole problem happened after I was using the browser, opened 3 windows at the same time , one of them was a video and the other 2 were google images. So the phone couldn't handle all these and the whole screen just froze. I locked up the screen which I still regret because I could have just turned the phone off and thought that locking up the screen would work since this has happened to me numerous times before without having these consequences.
I have tried the Simulated Battery Pull trick but it didn't work no matter which volume button I tried along with the power button. I held both for about 20-30 as written but the phone didn't react. Strange thing is when I charge the phone it's showing that it's charging the battery (yellow light) so the phone isn't completely dead as it seems. I would like your opinion about this and a proper solution cause I don't want to bring it to the service (even though my phone is only 4 months old )
Should I wait till the battery completely drains to zero (which could take 1 or 2 days ) or should I try fixing it myself?
Please help me ! I have no idea what to do :crying:

This all happened because you set LMK to very low value
If you want to reboot your device then press and hold off button located behind back cover

Yes it worked but not thanks to your post but thanks to a youtube video. Anyway what does LMK stands for , can you please tell me about it? Thanks to that "OFF" yellow button the hope returned to me, I was really close to bringing it to service.

LMK stands for Low memory killer. In order to understand this you need to know how android manages ram.
Basically whenever you close an app with back button the app still runs in background.Android does this so as to not to waste free ram available.Whenever you run heavy app the LMK is waked to kill those app running in the background

Thank you. And is it possible to adjust this without rooting the phone? Don't want to lose my warranty for it.
Of course only answer if this isn't meant to be too much off-topic.
