Well, you can't flash any stock-based ROM with Flashtool. WIth FlashTool you can flash Stock Rom (Official Sony firmwares - .ftf files), but for other custom ROMs based on Stock, you need to have a recovery installed (XZDualRecovery, CWM or similar).
Is your 4.2.2 rom rooted? If yes, you can install a recovery on it (following this thread), and then you can upgrade to KitKat following this thread. After that, you can basically install any custom stock-based KitKat ROM of your choice, from by flashing from recovery.
Goes without saying, read the threads really carefully before doing any actions.

So I've got .266 based UB, on 4.4.2 Vanir stock kernel
Interested in updating to a 4.4.3 rom but got a bootloop trying to flash CM11+gapps through TWRP.
I think it's down to one of these issues:
- Do I have to update to latest firmware via ftf flash? (.201/205)
- Do I need to flash a certain kernel/boot.img before flashing the rom?
- Do I need to use a certain compatible recovery/version?
Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks
Just flash via fastboot kernel that works with vanir and then enter recovery - wipe everything and install from SD. Should work
i want to revert back to stock firmware (P7-L10,V100R001C00B133SP04CUSTC183D133SP04,New Zealand,2degrees,Android 4.4.2,EMUI 2.3,05012MBD)
from MY rom which is also based in emui 2.3 i have twrp installed so when i flash stock recovery emui 2.3 my phone doesn't boot it works fine with twrp.
do i need to flash stock recovery and then force update this firmware?

I heard that miui 7 based on kitkat.
Does this mean that I must downgrade to kitkat to flash it to my mobile ?
And if somebody uses it can he leave feedback about this rom.

no you can install it on lollipop if you have TWRP or CWM
also you can install if have LB or UB
You can flash the rom by TRWP or philz even though the android 5.1.
Just do not forget to wipe and wipe system altogether.
Is there a stock Rom I can flash with twrp I'm hoping to get the 4.1 update on stock.
