Hi,
I am new to Sony Mobile, I am a root user back in HTC One X...
From what I know so far is that in order to (perm) root XZ, I need to unlock bootloader and risk to have BE 2 and some other functions to be disabled.
I remember back in my X10 years, it is able to achieve temp root using ZDroot or one-click root methods. I know it's kind of old school but is there anyway to achieve temp root now?

we just have to wait for a root method that does not requires Unlock BL.
I just got an HTC One M7. I want to root it vs using WeakSauce. I don't want to S-Off and unlock the bootloader since root can be cleared, unlocked bootloader cannot. Any methods I'm missing?

Hey.
I Have had loads of Android phones at this stage n love it but without root I'm missing out on my HTC one m7.
My question, is there ANYWAY to root my phone without the use of a Pc mine just fell b4 I got this phone n the screen is smashed.. I'm tech savy if there is anyway of doing it just with d m7 itself please point me in the right direction.

You need a computer to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery in order to root the phone. If your bootloader is already unlocked then you can use apps like flashify (wouldn't recommend) to flash a custom recovery and then root.
I believe you can unlock bootloader and achieve S-off without a computer using Sunshine S-off but you have to pay $25

Do you have all the necessary files for this? (ADB, fastboot, TWRP img file, and SuperSU zip)
626(s) is totally different from 626... ive tried it and does not work. i had to buy a XTC2CLIP to get it back to the way it was and have a unlocked bootloader as well... still in search of the 626 root tho
I have the ATT 626 and it worked flawlessly for me. Download the TWRP IMG file then flash it through ADB commands. Then download SuperSU flashable zip and flash in TWRP. Not responsible for any damage though, just trying 2 help!

Well recovery don't work and it's basically destroyed my phone tried flashing the ruu but nothing is working if the phone dies I have strip it to take battery out to start it again so yeah I'll wait for propa root process thanks anyway guys

The process for root for HTC phones are unlock bootloader, flash recovery, flash SuperSU zip. To use RUU the bootloader needs to be locked. To root, bootloader must be unlocked through HTC dev portal. This is the "proper" way to root.
Well as you can see my boot loader is unlocked and I'm still stuck.. I can't wipe my phone I can't do anything can anybody give me some answers

You must relock the bootloader first. Then you can use the RUU for your device.

ok my friend so heres what i did i first had to unlock the phone was google locked bought it from somebody else for 20 bucks i thought what a steal well maybe it was don't know but only to find it was google locked after 4 days of various work arounds i figured one out myself based on youtube workarounds and one i figured out got it unlocked didn't want to mess with a lot of bs so tried kingroot to no sucess until i unlocked bootloader through htc tried kingroot and voila another day and time i will twrp bootloader and super su it but for now just want to enjoy my new toy.

I allready have got my bootloader unlocked, but I'm not sure what to do next.
I have seen a few tutorials, but non of them worked.
Anybody answers?
