app addfree not working.

I've installed/reïnstalled a few times, but it isn't working anymore (it was a backup file, but I also reïnstalled from market).
It's really a must have application.
Does anyone else also have problems with this app after installing again? (maybe they are down?)

I use this app, love it, but haven't had problems.
What's not happening, that makes the app not work? Will it load? Will it check their servers? At what point does it not work for you?

I was having a problem, it wouldn't load, so this is what I did. There is a thread here named (how to filter ads on G1), I followed the link, then copied the host list as txt. file. Then I used Android Commander, if you don't have it get it, I just clicked and dragged to system/etc directory. Then I ran the app, it worked immediately, and even took the ads off of TuneWiki, the adds wouldn't come off before. The file has a long list of host, and you can even edit it to add host that aren't there. Try it see if it works for you

Safe to tether from my froyo Rom via?

I have an a t t unlimited data plan (grandfathered in and no longer offered) and desperately need an internet connection for my desktop and one laptop this weekend... Is it safe to use the tether option in my froyo Rom That I installed about 3 months ago (UCJI6) on my captivate...
Or are they able to see that I'm tethering and do something like move me from my current plan to their tendering plan??? Or charge me some huge fee???
I mean can they really tell what device is consuming the data? a device is a device is a device... No?
urgent situation so the faster I can get answers from this smart group of users the better! And thanks!

Thanks.... I saw that thread in my initial search but still am not crystal clear..... So renaming the "tethering manager" (whats the path to that file? And how does this figure into it all?) is what I need to do and from there I'm good to go?
Note: I have confirmed it works fine on my device and if it matters I'm most interested in usb tether but if its all the same wifI would be a big help as well!

get the app "titanium backup" use it to find the app "tethering manager"
click it, freeze it or uninstall it.

note i just checked super one click..
the 1.9.1 zip file NEEDS TO BE RENAMED TO " .rar " not " .zip " !!!

Thanks for the heads up on the rar vs. Zip file extension.... Rooted and looks/works great..... But I never did find the "tethering manager" apk file in the prescribed directory... /system/app/ . I see tons of other apk files but not that particular one. Is there another location to check or since I'm able to tether does that mean it (tethering manager) is NOT on my device?

it may be something like com.teth... or att.teth.. or somthing else it will have a different name.
I recommend using titanium backup method to freeze the app or backup&uninstall the app. it will be named "tethering manager" as titanium uses the app name not the file name.
most custom roms though have all this done for you. but do your homework first.

[Q] Can't access android market using 3G

Hi. I was abe to update my tab with gb. However, in using 3G, i cant access the market. I always receive a 'network error' message. Any idea what to do? Thanks.

Try accessing it through wifi. Only market is not working?

The market is ok on wifi. In 3G, i can browse the net, but not the market. It always gives me the network error. Any idea why?

I get the same exact thing -- It looks like the 3g is actually disabled when the android market is open. The 3g logo actually disappears from the task bar when the market is open. I have to go in and kill the market in the task manager to get the 3g working again. It is really annoying. I am on AT&T if that matters.

The AT&T tech rep I spoke to told me that I would have to call Samsung. (I'm having the same problem with my Galaxy Tab).

i finally got my market working in gingerbread thru 3G! thanks to noxxious for the great help!
try this procedure:
1. backup your data and apps, and your network's apn settings
2. get the sec_csc JQ1.zip from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13936755#post13936755 (post no. 47) and unzip it.
3. overwrite the csc folder in /system with the csc folder you got from step 3 (use root explorer)
4. using your dialpad, enter *#272*your_tab_IMEI#.
5. select "XTC" and press "install" (XTC is the international sales code that works on any country).
6. step 5 will wipe your data. if it fails, then switch off your tab and go to recovery mode (press the "on" key and volume up key at the same time).
7. select "wipe data".
8. when your tab restarts, it will propmt you again for setup (your sim card should be in the tab). when you're asked to connect to packet data, click the checkbox next to it. after setup, when i checked the settings\mobile network\apn settings, the tab automatically created the apn settings for me (if not, then manually create apn settings). switch on 3G and access the market!
it worked for me! hope it works for you, too!

Market Update
Does the above solution work even after the update to the Android Market is applied? Obviously, wiping the tab will return it to the default apps, including Market.
I can go in to the "App" manager and uninstall the Market update and then it works on 3g but as soon as the update reinstalls (automatically), then the 3g is disabled again.

Strange. I have the stock gingerbread but i don'have that problem over 3G. Vodafone in my country have 2 diffrent data plan, "Mobile Internet" where i have no problem with anything, and "Internet on Mobile" where i can browse over the web, but i can't receive calls from Viber or Tango. Those 2 apps work great on " Mobile Internet", so maybe is your data plan who make that things. I have tryed right now on Mobile Internet to open and browsing the Market and is work like a charm.

the sec_csc file in the above post is for philippine carrier networks only. though you could do something similar with a sec_csc for your carrier networks.

Is there any other fix for this? I don't really want to start from scratch on my Glaxy tablet.

same problem here. just flashed to overcome hermes and the market does not work on 3g. us att tab. im not really exited about reloading everything- i just finished. perhaps there is another solution?

i have an SGT-P1000N and flashed GB and now my dial-er does not work i am on US T-mobile, i was able to check my voice mail after i did the update, now it goes back to home screen when i hit the call button. any help. or or help going back to Froyo. Thank you

I tried to replace the csc folder using the root explorer but i couldnt its says that the process succeeded but the folder stays the same, any help will be appreaciated

3g wont connect on ATT galaxy tab running overcome v4.0
hi-- thanks for reading... i have a galaxy tab GT-P1000 on ATT 3G and wifi.
i am running the overcome 7 series v 4.0 ROM... the kernel is 2.6.35.7.
my problem is that the 3G service is spotty at best. i can do everything with WIFI but the 3G only connects intermittently. Does anyone have any research or answers for this.

This problem sometimes occurs even in cracked or paid apps if u don't have the Market access correctly.I have found a solution but u need an avtive internet connection(wifi or 3g,whatever)
For those who have market access
1.enable background data in settings
2.sign in market with google account and run the app.That's easy
3.else, try the following method.
For those who live in non-market access country
1.download market unlocker apk and install it.(I use v3.2.5)
2.open market unlocker,switch the "Enable Unlocker" ON(at "Home" tab
3.Go to "Proxy" tab and tap "Fetch USA Proxy(pro version)" and wait until it automatically set the proxy,then switch "Enable Proxy" ON.
After that u have market access.
Sign in market with google account and run the app.It won't show "Invalid License" anymore.I've tested and 100%working

I downloaded 9mm, opened the game, waited for a 1gb to download, and when it was done, i get the "invalid license" message. Tried this with backround data, but nothing happens. I still get this error.

Does it remove all game license verification....like i want to play The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but when I open it says Invalid License or something like that...So if i do the procedure which u have posted the license thing will not come???

I had that error too, but no worries all you need is a rooted phone and lucky patcher and just
1. Go on the app, open menu of patches
2.Go on remove licence, selected patterns
3.chose the licence certification mod; 1st green and final licence vertification ; 2nd to last
4.Boom there you go!

SSh tunnel for lollipop fix or alternative?

Noticed i cannot get ssh tunnel to work for global or specific app proxys on any lollipop devices wondering if there was an ideal app you guys would recommend for nexus 6 that would accomplish this same thing?
Used to work great on my previous devices from last i recall prior to moving to a lollipop device
Looking to specifically proxy some apps via ssh tunnel and rest go through normal unencrypted session via carrier ip
Looked into proxydroid and connectbot but haven't seem to get them to work together must be missing something
seems this is a known issue with iptables and ssh proxying in lollipop on some other similiar apps

A few points;
1) requires root (at the moment, still in dev...)

it´s the first time im using this tool... im happy that i found your solution/fix for lolipop.. it works perfect on any website/host in the web.. but i got still a problem..
the routing seems to route everything through the tunnel.. except things that are adressing other services on the same host as the ssh server host..
for example: if there is a webserver or mailaserver on the same host as the ssh server.. the traffic to those mail or webserver are not going through the tunnel..
is this a common problem with ssh-tunnel app?
using ProxyDroid on-top, fixes this.. with ProxyDroid also the mailserver (etc..) traffic is going through the tunnel.. but i would prefer to use only one tool.. not two tools..
any suggestions?

it's just a binary compatibility problem you can extract iptables and redsocks binary from patched version or from anywhere else and copy them to your data folder it will solve the problem

Yes you are right.
-1 copy/overwrite iptables, redsocks from proxydroid to:
data/data/org.sshtunnel folder.
-2 chmod these two files for the owner/root!
