You can, interfere with the process by using the force reboot button at the back of the Xperia SP. But then you will need to boot into recovery again, and again, attempt to wipe the cache.
Good that it is solved Would be nice if you tag your thread with the text: [Solved] so that people will acknowledge that your problem is solved.

I think I did someting wrong when I loaded my first rom. So after i turned on my phone with it for the first time, It is super laggy and im sure its not the roms fault. So I turned the phone of and turn it on again and it has been stuck on the boot screen for 25 mins.... Is it possible because I did somethinf wrong like rationing my sd card incorrectly?

What did you do after you flashed the ROM?
Did you Wipe EXT, Dalvik-cache, and do a factory reset from Recovery before installing the ROM?
I reboot my phone. The rom worked by the phone was laggy so I turned it off and on and its stuck on the boot.
Try this:
Put the ROM on your phone again if you took it out.
Boot into Recovery again.
Wipe EXT
Wipe Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvik-cache
Then re-flash the rom.

Hey guys sorry if this has already been posted. I tried to search through the other threads but couldn't find anything with my exact problem. I am a noob when it comes to this stuff so please bear with me. I was trying to reinstall my ROM when I made the dumb mistake to format system, When I was in recovery I wiped data/factory reset, wiped the cache partition, wiped Dalvik cache, and then for some reason went to format system. After I did that and went to reboot the phone it asked me to fix root. I did this and it started the CWM bootloop. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix it?
exitrecovery.zip will stop the boot loop.

Also try this...
Pull battery..
Count to 10.
Replace battery.
Press and hold Volume Down and power until the Factory Reset screen comes up..
Hit the power button twice, once to start and the second to confirm.
This should put you into your recovery mode... There you should be able to install the ROM again..
At least this is what has always worked for me...

I wanted to update my 5830, so I flashed firmware via ODIN to the newest, all was good since I wanted to give my phone to my wife, and I needed to do factory reset... after that my phone stuck in bootloop, cant go more than samsung logo, sometimes animation, and its blinking and restarting again. What can I do? I performed new flash with new rom - all going good, but I'm trying to factory reset it again, and its bootlooping again...
can some1 help me back my phone to good condition with factory reset possibility?

I'v done this several times, by cwm and by stock recovery - same result. Finally I've installed branded rom and it's working perfectly to the moment I wanted to uninstall operator apps by titanium backup. Sometimes at the finishing of uninstall phone reboots... but working.

yeah n between uninstalling system apps system boots but thats not a problem as those apps which you wanna remove get removed even if your phone gets rebooted
Did you also wipe dalvik? Try to flash a stock (old) firmware via odin and do this steps.
1.reboot to recovery
2.wipe data /factory reset
3.wipe cache partition
4.reboot
İt has to boot normally in 2-3 minutes. İf doesnt tou gotta make a Jtag operation which you cannot do without the RiffBox.

You should flash a multi package firmware when rolling back from custom roms.XXKPH is one such rom, then you can flash latest update afterwards.Cache etc never matter for me

Hi,
- Le 2 X526
- Phone is rooted
I am unable to flash any ROM via TWRP. I've tried multiple ROMs and the phone gets stuck and just restarts midway during flashing (happens during /system extraction).
The issue was happening even with stock ROM which is why I did a factory reset assuming things will be fine. Currently, I have wiped everything via TWRP and the system is empty.
Note: I get a bluescreen for a split second after which the phone restarts.
Please help.
first tell these thing..
which eui version u were using..??
which twrp version you are using
which rom u tried first...?
and was it running or it was also giving bootloop???
Hi,
I was using 5.8.019S (Rooted)
TWRP 3.1.0
The phone was randomly rebooting since 2 days with increasing frequency, which is why I decided to do a factory reset.
But after factory reset the phone was only in bootloop. After this I wiped all partitions and tried to install a ROM.
I've tried AOSP, Lineage, Small EUI and Validus - Same problem in all (TWRP gets stuck halfway during installation and reboots)
Note: I am wiping all partitions before installation.

I am aware of that, but I am unable to install any ROM now. It just gets stuck halfway and phone reboots.
I wonder if the memory has gotten damaged/corrupted.
Can anyone help please...
How about trying an older version of TWRP?
I think the partition table is corrupted. Can someone help me repartition it using adb and gparted?

You can permanently brick your phone if not done right. Proceed with caution if you choose to.

Installed the ROM and now I'm stuck on Bootloop Recovery.
Tried to wipe cache and dalvik with no luck.
Also tried to wipe cache and dalvik and data and still stuck in bootloop into TWRP.
Any help how can I solve it ?
**** UPDATE *****
I was able to get out of the bootloop by flashing Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_12.27.2019
Not sure what it does but I saw that someone mention it helped him so decided to give it a try and it did the trick

Flashing something you don't know isn't always good lol, it enables FORCE DECRYPTION, It was encrypted data that was stopping you from booting, a data format would've worked too. Anyway good to hear you've booted.

I agree that it might not be the best idea to flash something that you don't really know but as I mentioned in my post I already tried data format and it didn't help. I was still stuck in bootloop to TWRP recovery.
I did read somewhere that someone else with the same issue (bootloop) tried that method and it worked for him so decided to give it a try.
