SuperSU asking money?! - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
few months ago I've flashed R-Mod V3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775977
great software for my phone.
but few day ago I tried to install cSploit (open source app, known as dSploit, sold etc) when my SuperSU app informed me that I have to pay money for premium use of SuperSU because CSploit uses some of unpaid chnuks that SuperSU supervises.
Is there any way to remove this stupid SuperSU app/reflash with something normal that will allow install apps that I like?
Thank you.l

Superuser app

Can Anyone tell me the difference in the Superuser app from Chain Fire and the Superuser from Chain SDD? I have always used the Older version!

To quote a portal post by jerdog:
In the context of Android, Superuser has become synonymous with the Superuser app created by XDA Recognized Developer ChainsDD that grants you (and applications) root privileges by allowing you to accept the request or not. His app and process for obtaining root were the only options on the block for a long time, until XDA Elite Recognized Developer Chainfire sought a different solution to requesting and granting root privilege requests. The result of that endeavor was SuperSU, which has increasingly become a mainstay and is being included in more and more new custom ROM development these days.

In short, Chainfire's SuperSU app uses a slightly different approach, and he added the one or another feature the app from ChainsDD didn't have. For example, the paid SuperSU Pro can be set to survive a OTA update so you stay rooted.
ChainsDD actually discontinued development of his Superuser app quite some time ago.
While it's a matter of personal preference about which one you want to use, running with SuperSU may be the better approach.

Barclays App crashes after installing exposed

Hi everyone
I have recently started having a problem with the Barclays Mobile Banking app. It all started on my S4 which I had rooted therefore no banking app for me. I later discovered that Cydia Substrate together with RootCloak Plus can solve my problem. After installing those two apps followed by the banking app I was greeted with an app has stopped error just after the Barclays logo appears (attached in the screenshot). Thinking it's something to do with the custom ROM, I ignored the issue and removed the Substrate and Rootcloak apps. The banking app still crashed so I reinstalled it and the same was happening.
A few days ago I chenged my phone to an S5. Having settled down with everything including Exposed I reinstalled the banking app and it crashed again (stock rooted rom). That was a big surprise to me. So I wiped my S4 and started from scratch... Installed banking app, worked, installed Cydia and Substrate, worked and didnt complain about root, installed Xposed, crash, uninstalled Xposed, works again.
So as the reason of the issue is unknown to me I'm wondering if any of the devs can assist me with determining what could be causing this. I'm one step closer to having the banking app finally work yet I'm one step back because installation of Xposed seems to conflict with the app somehow (I feel it might be something native at OS layer).
Could anybody help me troubleshoot it?
I'm happy to provide screenshots and logs and whatever is needed.
I was thinking of just getting rid of Xposed but it is simply the main reason behind rooting the phone and staying at KitKat rather than Lollipop, the other reason is the Samba server...
Attached is the screenshot of the error. Unlikely to help but it's there
Thanks a lot
P.S: Sorry for Exposed rather than Xposed in the thread title...
Where are you from? Barclays apps are different from country to country. Mine works fine with Xposed and root on N4. In Italy.

Thank you for your reply.
I'm in the UK so I run the UK version of the APK.
Well, I tested it on two phones and experienced an identical issue. Are you running the latest version?
I use the latest version but Italian localisation. Maybe someone else from UK could help you!

I know but it looks like no one is willing to help...
As you can see, no replies
Thanks for your involvement though.
Anybody! Hellloooo!?!?
You could try the Halifax exposed root cloak module, as I'm with Lloyd's and I can now access my banking app whereas before it kept telling me it wouldn't work as my device was rooted...

Getting Android Pay to work

Hi I have a rooted CM 12.1 ROM and I've been dying for the new Android Pay, but it keeps saying it's "incompatible with your device" in the Playstore and downloading and running the APK doesn't work neither. Has anyone had the same problem? Is it related to my ROM and that its rooted? Because I used to use Google Wallet just fine. Is there a way to fix it?

For me, running GPE, I couldn't get it to work until I uninstalled the xposed apk, dirty flashed my rom to remove the xposed service (probably could flash the xposed uninstaller zip), disabled supersu (can do that in the supersu app), and wiped the data/cache on the pay app.
After getting Pay working then I enabled supersu and installed the xposed apk and flashed the xposed zip.

You talking about Cyanogenmod 12.1? I'm not sure. I'm using the Google Play Edition that has NFC working fine. I haven't tried paying with Android Pay yet but will soon.
Oh... I see now.

On CM 12.1 the NFC chip is not even supported on the m8

Battery drain + error messages ( NEW TO ROOT - HELP!)

Hi,
I am new here. I am also new to rooting as I just rooted to 7.1 yesterday. I wanted the pixel look on my 6p. I believe I used superSu (not sure what that is lol I need some education), but that is the app on my phone. Everything is working pretty good aside from 2 things: 1. snapchat login doesn't work and from what I have seen online I cannot uninstall xposed installer because as of now I do not even have one installed because it's not released for Nougat yet. Or is that what SuperSu is? Also my battery is draining like crazy.... someone please tell me how to fix that and possibly educate me a bit on what these particular apps are, superSu and xposed installer. I am sorry to create another thread if these things were already stated but I am so confused..
Thank you!,
Brianna

Open source. Actively maintined. Root hiding. Systemless modifications. Big community. Etc...
Possibly not compatible with as many devices as SuperSU was.

Is supersu even being developed anymore? I'd love to have at least some sort of crappy Plan B as it looks like magisk has a possibility of dying.
