Replacement Device Back to KitKat - Verizon LG G2

I recently received a replacement device for my Verizon LG G2. My previous phone was kept on KitKat and I would like to get the replacement phone back to KK. The phone is currently rooted and I have TWRP installed. I am running Extreme v1.1 VS98039A.
Is there a way to take this phone back to KitKat 4.4? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Have a blessed day!

To anyone who gets a failed 4.4 update, this is for you

I restored my rooted note 3 to mj5 using the popular restoration guide, and wasnt able to update to 4.4, the ota would always fail at 27%. What i did was take it to a Best Buy samsung experience center and they hard wire pushed the 4.4 update onto my note 3 which worked. They asked if i rooted it and i said no, and knox being at 0x0 helped alot lmao. So if your update is failing, just go to best buy and ask a samsung experience rep to do it for you. Reason why i got rid of root and went to 4.4 was because my phone was malfunctioning and having a lot of problems, so i upgraded to 4.4 to make it flawless again. Thank you best buy.

[Q] Updating to lolipop- Lg G2

Hello all, so back in December, i was rooted on my verizon lg g2 and i used towelroot to do so. One day i received the ota update on my phone for lolipop and i did so. I went through with the update while on 4.4.2 and nothing happened, maybe because i was on root? Anyway today i got unrooted my phone using the lg mobile support tool and the KDZ method. Now my device is back to stock and i figured i could have gone back into settings and the update would be there waiting for me to install again, but nothing is there. It says the usual "Device is up to date". So now i'm 4.4.2 still and want the lolipop upgrade. However i don't know how to achieve this, as i've restarted my phone several times and nothing will come up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Official LP isn't available for the G2 yet. It's dropping overseas next week or so, according to news sources. There's a custom LP rom, but it's not the official through Verizon.

[Q] Help a newbie: revert from stock Lollipop to stock Kit Kat

I upgraded to lollipop yesterday via OTA and the experience is being awful for me. Every single notification vibrates, no matter what I do. All NFC applications have stopped working and it seems a bug in android.nfc.tech.NfcA. And I don't like the new Sense that much.
I decided that I want to go back to Kit Kat, but I don't want to void my warranty in the process. I used to root and flash custom rooms in my old Samsung Galaxy, but HTC One is very different and I have no idea of how it's done. Also, I'd like to have my old room (Spain, carrier Yoigo), and also have no idea where to find it. The idea is that, if they fix the current Lollipop problems, I might like to upgrade via OTA again to a later Lollipop version.
Can anyone please provide the steps to revert to stock kit kat so I don't lose my warranty and I can receive OTAs in the future?
Thank you in advance.

You could ask your service provider to downgrade, but I highly doubt they will do it. In order to do it yourself, you need to root your phone and get s-off which voids your warranty
Unless you're S-OFF there is no way of downgrading back to KitKat. Best thing to do is back up your data and factory reset the phone as chances are this will sort it out

I bought a L90 from amazon (Tmobile) and the phone updated to lollipop

So when this phone came it was running android jelly bean which ran perfectly, had no problems, i saw that there was a update for lollipop so i went ahead and installed it and now phone is stuck in boot loop, black screen>lg logo>black screen>lo logo
sometimes i get lucky and phone actually boots up but 99.9% of the time after reboot its suck in that loop
any way i can fix this? i was thinking about going back to jelly bean stock but idk how. i might just return it.
Damn, you managed to get to XDA, yet you didn't find guides how to install stock roms? Quite impressive
Also, are you sure it was Jellybean? I'm pretty convinced L90 comes with KitKat

Rooted kitkat to new 5.1.1 release help

Have n901t. Rooted it after being talked into 5.0.1 by Tmobile rep trying to improve it. No good. So went back down to KitKat and rooted that. Obviously I cannot receive ota update for 5.1.1 now. Do I just get the stock file and flash with the phone as it currently is? Or should I flash KitKat back to it's un rooted state before updating phone? Am still a novice in the taking control of your smart phone world and would rather not brick something if it can be easily avoided. Thank you.

You could get the official software and use odin to install it but there are a couple of things you need to be aware off. First once you upgrade to 5.1.1 you cannot downgrade back to kit kat and you will be stuck on that version, secondly in order to achieve root you might need to install a custom kernel before rooting. For that last part I would suggest you hit the forums since there a couple of posts about rooting this new version.
don't know if I am ready to start messing with kernals yet. Am patient. New root will show itself before we know it. Did the update through Odin. So far smooth sailing. Tested Simpsons tapped out since with 5.0.1 it lagged so bad it was unplayable. Still not as smooth as it was on KitKat but can still play it at least. Haven't tinkered with anything else yet.
Personally I'm waiting it out. I don't like not being able to go back, and I've had 0 luck with 5+.. So I'll wait until someone "fixes" it, if ever.
