http://www.google.com/nexus/6/ is official today & I have mixed feelings as a very satisfied Note 2 owner who was nearly confident he was going to upgrade to the Note 4 Friday.
My main gripes were the Note 4's speaker seems potentially worse than my Note 2 & is expected to be blown away by the dual front facing stereo speakers of the Nexus 6 & when playing with the Note4 at BestBuy it was not always snappy smooth while the Nexus 6 is expected to be butter smooth snappy with pure Android Lollipop. I even liked the Samsung Mega 6.3" in my hand so I don't expect to be intimidated by the 5.96" QHD Nexus 6 & may even prefer the extra .26" over 5.7" Note4. :good:
Of course I prefer a removable battery & storage but with the rapid 15 minute "6" hour charge of the Nexus 6 & 64GB model I might be willing to compromise there particularly if it makes the device more secure although I could encrypt the Note 4 even if I haven't yet my Note2 & the freezer battery encryption hack is unlikely in the real world. I do appreciate the Spen functionality but was planning to keep my Note2 (where I don't use the Spen as much as I originally expected) but would likely use the enhanced Note4 Spen more like a mouse etc:victory:
I gotta admit the http://www.google.com/nexus/6/ looks slick & will likely be snappier than the Note4 plus those dual front facing stereo speakers I was hoping would be in the Note 4 & Android Lollipop out of the box. Looking forward to Note 4 Vs. Nexus 6 reviews but that'll require patience as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4KQUk4Lv8o doesn't settle it so what say you biased Note 4 forums readers..Note4.. Nexus6.. Both?!:highfive:

Honestly, I'm quite mad. Coming from a Nexus 5, I was waiting for a Nexus 6. When I thought it was never gonna be a thing, I got the Note 4.
Mad.

I would take note 4 over nexus any day. How can you not have SD card slot. TMOBILE does not show what they will carry but in past they carried 16gb not 32gb. So I think they gonna carry 32 and not 64gb. Plus 4 k video takes up a lot of memory. How can you not have SD card slot. Shame on google and Motorola.
NOTE 4
You regret getting the Note4 now? If so curious about specifics. Also assuming you'd like the Nexus 6 instead can't you return the Note4 within 30 days?
The funny thing is I'd be happy to get the Note4 Friday if it weren't for the Nexus 6. They both appeal to me but I've only held the Note4 in my hand & don't like the idea of waiting weeks to compare it to the Nexus 6. I wish they released some real hands on videos & reviews today not just teases https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvgLNXfzQhw

I'd still have the Note2 to fall back on for the functionality I don't find in the Nexus 6.. F*ck it I'll get both the Note4 & Nexus6 :victory:
What do you mean couldn't one get the 64GB unlocked direct from https://play.google.com/store/devices?hl=en when available for T-Mobile?

From t mobile they not gonna carry the 64gb so they say now. So I would have to pay full price. The no SD card is a deal breaker. They need to change this.
NOTE 4
$650 for the nexus 6, no thanks. No regret pre ordering the note 4.
i gotta say i am seriously considering returning my note 4 and getting the nexus. i got the nexus 5 coming from sprint note 2 and it was just too small for me, but i really liked the phone itself. i ended up getting a note 3 and loved it. the upgrade to the note 4 doesn't blow me away. it just doesn't feel like a new phone to me, more like my note 3 since the screen is the same size. that 6 inch screen and a whole new version of android however will make me feel justified for spending the extra money.
I'm used to paying the full price but had an idea what you meant.. I think Google implemented sdcard restrictions starting in 4.4KK for security reasons so perhaps they saw sdcards problematic from the beginning of Nexus line but Android L5 encrypts everything by default now & even Samsung allows sdcard encryption in the Note4 right so why not offer it? However is connecting to your PC to transfer & manage local storage along with cloud services for less sensitive data that unmanageable?
The non-removable battery is also limiting even in the context of rapid charging when traveling & not sure how long its battery is expected to function well beyond the initial years. My Note2 will still have an easily replaceable battery indefinitely..
I have a feeling the Nexus 6 is going to be consistently-satisfyingly snappier than the Note4 out of the box but that should be tweakable if user is prepared to put in the time.. & even offer a better full screen multimedia experience while the Note4 has its Spen & multitasking strengths.
Honestly I think Apple & even Google prefer faster product lifecycles so they rather not offer easy user serviceability forcing more device replacement sales..

This sucks! If it weren't for the s pen this would be easy.
I was seriously considering going from the Note 3 to Note 4 but wanted to hold off until it was out for a bit and see what it was like when the dust settled. Now I am not so sure and want to wait to see how the Nexus 6 plays out. The S Pen is nice but I really don't use it that often. I use my Note 3 more like a normal phone so a Nexus device that performs better with better sound may be a better fit for me.
We will see...
Boy this looks tempting and I already have the Note 4 in hand. Hmmmm, return policy? Jump prgrm? Options. Gotta test drive the 4 for a few more and get a good gut feeling from it, I'll go from there
Well...here's my take on it....
Screen Resolution:
SAME Quad HD 2560x1440, BUT
5.7 inch, 515ppi Super AMOLED on the Note 4,
5.96 inch, 493ppi iPS on the Nexus 6. (Thanks to LG)
Processor and GPU:
SAME quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 at 2.7GHz w/ Adreno 420 GPU
Memory (RAM):
SAME 3GB RAM LPDDR3
Memory (Internal):
SAME 32GB & 64GB (N4 TBA)
This is where things start to tip strongly to the Note 4: [Highlights in RED = More/Better]
* As a photographer myself I know megapixels don't mean everything. BUT the sensor in the Note 4 is pretty awesome and with an aperture of f1.9, it has an edge over the Nexus 6. Let alone the extra megapixels. I have a feeling these two will be the top shooters in its class.
Camera (FRONT):
Note 4 @ 3.7 megapixels (f1.9) w/ 120 degree wide angle selfies + shoots 1080p video
Nexus 6 @ 2 megapixels w/ no wide angle + shoots only 720p video
Camera (REAR):
Note 4 @ 16 megapixels w/ OiS and 1/2.6" sensor. (Better for low light shooting)
+ 1080p Video @ 60 FPS
+ 4K UHD Video @ 30 FPS
Nexus 6 @ 13 megapixels w/ OiS and 1/3.06: sensor.
- 1080p Video @ 30 FPS
- [Edit] It does shoot 4K @ 30 FPS
Expandable Memory:
Note 4 = YES to 128GB
Nexus 6 = NOPE
Multi-Tasking Goodies w/ S-Pen:
Note 4 = YES
Nexus 6 = NO
Overall Size: (Personal preference.)
Note 4 (6.04 x 3.09 x 0.33 inches)
Nexus 6 (6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches) [Taller, wider and thicker]
Weight: (Personal preference.)
Note 4 (6.21 oz)
Nexus 6 (6.49 oz)
Battery:
SAME @ 3220mAh, BUT
Removable in the Note 4
Stuck in the Nexus 6
Speakers:
Note 4's now on the back cover. (Hmmm....I liked it on the Note 3. This seems like a S5 carry over.)
Nexus 6 w/ Dual front facing speakers.
Design Language: (Personal preference, BUT practicality comes into play here.)
Note 4 really nailed it this time with the aluminum/magnesium frame and the back is nice and grippy.
Nexus 6 = HTC One meets Phone 6 meets Slippery Slide. WTH happened? Don't get me wrong, I think it's really clean, but it's a legitimate knock off of the HTC One. It's real interesting too how it followed the Note 4's design concept with the two little marks on the to end of the phone. (Antennas?) It's the little white stripes. The same ol' aluminum backing is a nightmare waiting to happen like the i6, HTC One and alike.
Price:
Worthless to talk about IMO, because if you're buying a phone at this level, price shouldn't even be in the conversation. You don't come to this league and gripe about pricing.
Software:
Absolutely worthless to talk about and to base any decisions on what it currently has. That's so freakishly stupid to me. Just because a device has Lollipop now doesn't mean that others won't get it LOL. It cracks me up on how some people get all hot and heavy over this stupid variable that doesn't matter! We're on XDA for crying out loud! What, you plan to keep you phone stock?! I mean geeezzz come on...If so you're in the wrong place.
Overall, I can't find ANY justification or reason to get a Nexus 6 over the Note 4. This will solely come down to personal preference in the design for the most part as...
....they both have the SAME CPU, RAM, Memory options, GPU and top of the line displays. At the end of the day if you factor in everything and add it all up the Note 4 obviously wins, however, either phone is a great choice to the average user. For power users who need expandable memory, the most vivid screen out on the market, upgradable battery, camera and software goodies....Note 4.

Not sure Google Nexus 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4: in-depth specs comparison is totally accurate at this point but worth a look.
Even after the Note 4 gets http://www.android.com/versions/lollipop-5-0 , from day one I'd use those dual front facing stereo speakers & extra .26" screen more regularly than the Spen (& I'd still keep my Note2 with Spen when need be) but want to see reviews & have both in the hand. Note 5 will now more likely score dual front facing speakers & get a bigger approaching 6" screen & 64 bit chip with at least 4GB RAM capable of capturing high frame rate slow mo video with its audio intact & other goodies now that Apple, Motorola, LG & others are going after that market.

For those considering returning the Note4 check with where you purchased it for return window as some may only be 14 days while others 30 days to test drive & within 30 days you may get that chance to try them side by side. When I bought my Note2 full price from T-Mobile.com I was told I had 30 days but I think BestBuy for example may only accept such returns for 14 days & perhaps some T-Mobile stores so worth knowing your options.
Let us know how it all goes & your ultimate decision process:good:
Hmmm I could be mistaken.

The biggest point everyone is missing..... Nexus 6 will have a an amazing amount of developers due to the fact there's only 1 model Nexus 6 for Verizon, Sprint, Att, T-Mobile, etc. We will be able to use all roms and all bootloaders will be unlockable.... The only unlocked bootloader for the Note 4 is T-Mobile....

first off nothing comes close to the design of the note 4. plus the bonus added in features which will never be present on the stock nexus 6. on top of that the phone is huge you cant even put in your pocket. whats the point then of it being a phone when you literally have to carry it in your hand all the time? after having both nexus 4 and nexus 5 i can confidently say that they have way more issues in production. I bought both nexus devices and both were returned due too major manufacture flaws such as patchy spots on screen, flickering, battery fail, and even the accessories i received for both devices looked like they went through a sand grinder . Nexus devices are nothing compared to this premium device. even the iPhone 6 plus doesn't compare. I have both and asked my friends at work which they prefer and they immediately said the note 4. in the end the note 4 is 20 times better in style, comfortably of use, and feature wise. And the nexus developers are different for sprint since its a whole different device with different radios. And to be honest i think the price tag will definitely turn away a lot of developers. in the end the note 4 will also get stock android but difference is you have the choice of touch-wiz and stock android.
And the unlocked boot loader doesn't matter unless your swapping kernels. the previous locked notes received safestrap. personally i think the only real reason to root the device is to remove bloat and your all set its snappy enough. even then developers are already getting there hands on this beast of a device, while you have to basically wait a month and half to get the nexus 6 which will sell out and be backordered for weeks adding on another 2 weeks for you to recieve it.
Do you think the Nexus 6 is too expensive?
There's already a poll for this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/n6-overpriced-t2906732
For some yes and for others no...
As mentioned there are about 3 other threads like this for u to check out...
I think it's way too expensive. I remember buying my N4. It was 200 and something pounds, yet had the specs of other devices on the market priced at over £600. It was the same with the N5. Half the price, same spec.
This? No. Way overpriced.
Plus it looks like some concept-design from 2006 ew :3
I think it's correct price, and how others said it's only not underpriced. BTW IR blaster is missing again, it's old mistake

Look at the specs difference between the Nexus 5 and the LG G2 (the phone the Nexus 5 was based off of)..... and then look at the specs difference between the Nexus 6 and the Note 4 (The phone the Nexus 6 is targeting). The former results in a LOT of downgrades for the Nexus 5, which basically made up for the drastic reduction in price. The latter basically results in 3-4 IMPROVEMENTS for the Nexus 6, and only basically 2 downsides when compared to the Note 4 (those being the lack of the IR blaster, and the slightly downgraded camera) unless the S-Pen, fingerprint reader, and MicroSD support are crucial to you.
And.... some concept design from 2006? You mean the "Concept design" that is the Moto X, only bigger?

Hello!
My first thread there but long time follower of this forum.
I know that we don't have any reviews of the Nexus 6 yet (well nothing substantial enough anyway) and I'm not sure when we will get these, but I have some questions.
1. Is there any point in getting the Nexus 6 when you can potentially get the Note 4 Developer Edition? Same specs overall, slightly smaller screen, potentially better cameras, slimmer.
2. I saw some posts about this before but my question is more specific: Assuming the Nexus 6 gets the previous generation of Samsung's screen (like the Note 3/GS4) - will it have any tweaks to bring it up to scratch? Surely they wont just use the old tech and extend the size of the screen & bump resolution will they? If they did that wouldn't the screen still maintain the same issues as before (low brightness, not as vidid colours etc)? I'm curious to see how the screen really performs IF it is the old tech. I do not think there is any chance at all that the Nexus 6 will use the same screen as the Note 4. This is a Moto phone after all...not a Samsung flagship.
3. Without the advanced camera tech (in regards to shutter speed etc) included in the G3 and iPhone 6+, do you think that the Nexus 6 will be noticeably slower at taking pictures compared with other phones? I see much discussion on this but ultimately this core question has no clear answers (I guess we'll have to wait for reviews but Im asking anyway; I've not seen many good reviewers on shutter speed. E.g. back when the Galaxy Nexus was released I read it was "super super fast" at taking pictures...it takes from 1 to 3 seconds to snap now).
4. At over 1cm thick and with such a large display how solid is this phone expected to be if it is dropped? Im not familiar with Moto phones but if I drop a Galaxy in normal use the screen is usually fine and there is not much more than scratches. I dropped my Nexus 5 on its back once and the entire front of the screen was destroyed. Just curious about the build quality and what is expected here - I've read mixed things about Moto quality so far.
5. If I shell out for two Nexus 6 phones now (yes I need two; one for me and one for my girlfriend) do you think that they will be good for 2 years of use? Or would it be wiser to purchase two Nexus 5 devices now and upgrade to the Nexus '7' phone (or whatever it will be) next year? I ask because this is still 32bit and we are on the cusp of a new era of 64bit Android phones. I feel like the Nexus 6 (while up to date now) will be significantly outpaced (more than usual) come this time next year. I just don't want to be caught out.
Thank you for your time reading my post; happy to hear any kinds of answers

Welcome to XDA and may I say an excellent first post !!
1. It depends on what you feel about a physical home button, and what rom you want to run. Running Samsung's software means you won't get pure Android, and running Android means you'll have to give up multi-window, stylus etc. But you would in both cases have removable battery, sd card and an amazing screen. Nexus 6 can't match the first two.
2. Chances of screen matching the Note 4 are very low, but it is a premium device and should use a nice panel with few compromises
3. The camera should be better, the hands on from Verge even commented on it and it seemed pretty fast in the video. The sensor is not the same as Note 4 but it does have better low light performance.
4. Dropping a phone can have wildly different results based on angle. Moto phones have good build quality
5. Its your decision, are you willing to buy 2 N6's, and next year sell and upgrade to the next Nexus? Will you be on contract? You can get one N5 and one N6 to cover both bases.
A lot of your questions will get answered once reviews come out in a few weeks. But if you feel an unholy lust for the phone like some of us do then there really is no decision to be made and its already decided

Thank you so much for the response I appreciate it
You've made some good points and thanks for the input on the Moto phone quality. I might consider getting 1 N6 for my girlfriend and I might get a replacement N5 (currently we both do have any good phones to use to last us another year.); both would be off contract of course as we are in Australia (purchase directly from Google or Moto unlocked).
I guess I'll have my fingers crossed for a detailed review (or two) to be released just before the presale opens.
Do you have the option of purchasing phones from Xiaomi, Oppo etc in Australia? They make some great phones at very good prices, just a suggestion. I personally am a big fan of Xiaomi due to their MIUI rom.
Oppo are about to announce the N3 so worth watching for

I've never heard of the Xiaomi before but I will look into that thank you! I'm not sure if we have the option to get it here; I've heard of the Oppo but I've never seen one before. I must do some research on this phone too.

Thanks for this info - I'll have a look at it!
Would anyone here be able to assist me with info on the Xiaomi and other Chinese phones & the quality?
I've looked into the advice in this thread and I've come across an upcoming phone - Vivo PD1305 (specs below).
Questions:
- Are the build quality on these kinds of phones comparable to the Nexus 6/Galaxy series?
- Are the screens comparable to the N6/Galaxy series?
- What about the cameras, radios & sound?
I'm just not sure but the specs on the phone I've mentioned are extremely impressive and what (in my opinion) the Nexus 6 SHOULD have included. Also the price is about $300 cheaper than the Nexus 6 (in Australia).
Specs:
Snapdragon 805
3 gig RAM
6 inch 1440x2560 QHD Display
32gb memory (expandable up to 128gig)
158mm x 81mm x 5.68mm in size
162 grams
An amazing 1.8 16mp rear camera with dual LED Flash
An impressive 8mp front facing camera with LED Flash
Stereo speakers
Fingerprint scanner
3,600 - 4,000mh battery
Price: (AUD equivalent) = $580 outright, unlocked.

Hell, while we are at it why not include direct SAT communications and free HW upgrades for life?
There is a difference between dream and reality. One is the one we are living in now, the other is where I can dream up a fusion reactor battery and antigrav stability for drop protection. Just be damn grateful we are getting a Nexus at all this year considering how likely Silver was and how likely ARA might be taking Nexus over next year.

No need for sarcasm as the specs for the phone that I posted are pretty legitimate sounding, and some sources claim 100% real. Also looking at their previous model (nearly a year old) as well as the current (and upcoming) competition in China - the specs I posted for the above phone are not only possible, but will very likely exist before the Nexus 6 is but a few months old.
These Chinese manufacturers are progressing far faster than the Nexus series (or many other Android phones) have ever done. Under 6mm thick, 3500mh+ battery, Snapdragon 805+ processor, 3gb RAM+, QHD 6" screen etc is totally within reason on the latest Chinese manufacturer phones.
Hopefully i'm not alone on an island when I say that the Nexus 6 is just too large for me. If i wanted a phablet, there are other alternatives. Having said that i was just curious what the future of Nexus is going to be? I suppose it's way too early to know, but just wanted to put my mind at ease because ever since the latest release, I'm really at a loss as to what my next phone purchase will be?
We now have the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, nexus 7, Nexus 9, Nexus 10? Will they refresh the current screen sizes with newer hardware? I really hope so cause screen size is the biggest factor now for me in terms of buying a nexus. If the nexus 4 had a refresh, i would have totally gone with that. Thoughts anyone?

If you're looking for your next phone, I HIGHLY recommend the new Moto X. Gorgeous and powerful hardware, stock Android with a few actually useful and innovative additions, and it's sold for a great price. I have both the N5 and Moto X and the X is an upgrade in every way, and IMO is the spiritual successor to the N5.
After not being able to get N6 64gb the last 3 weeks & playing with one at a tmobile store, I've decided its too big! My Nexus5 is still rocken for now. I'll be watching S810 device's announcements at CES Jan. 5, 2015. Maybe a Sony Xperia Z4/Z4 Ultra, M9 or other newly branded devices. Thin frame, stereo front speakers, 5.5 to 5.7 screen, unlockable, etc are my preferences...

Nah. Last year, I wanted at least a 5" 1080p display. Nexus 5 was close enough.
Agreed the NEXUS 6 is too large. Not the display, the entire phone. Anything larger than the LG G3 is too big for a phone, for me.
This year I wanted at least 5.2" 1440p (preferably the size of the LG G2) with Snapdragon 805. As late as mid-August Google was testing a 5.2" 1440p with Snapdragon 805 to be the NEXUS 6. But instead they they stupidly went with the monstrosity, and let Motorola release the 5.2" version as the Moto Maxx/Droid Turbo.
So in getting the Moto Maxx in spite of the silly capacitive buttons.
I'll have to check out the Motorola phones then, but the goal really for me is something smaller than 5 inches, but a "nexus" device for the fast updates.
Yea I'm in the same boat. The N6 is insanely big especially for my hands and there's really nothing that stands out about it besides fast updates. Now that it's nearly twice as much its put itself in a completely new category against the note 4 which literally destroys it in every way besides the front speakers and updates (I also prefer no buttons but since the galaxy phone home buttons are now fingerprint scanners it doesn't seem as bad) and I don't ever use the speaker in the phone besides occasionally showing a friend a YouTube vid or notifications. I'm between a note 4 and just keeping my n5 until s810s start popping up.
all the reviews for the Moto X (2014) cite a mediocre battery life and hit or miss camera results. Those are literally the two things holding back the N5.
Exactly. The Moto X could have been the top phone on the market but they failed on battery and cam. So I'm leaning toward the Droid Turbo, but I'm still not sold on it. The size is tolerable (N5 seems just right. N6 is ridiculous) and battery isn't as good as they claim but still far better than N5. Camera, I'm not sure. Mixed reviews I think.
Is the moto x even an upgrade in any area? The software seems to be what people like. The hardware is basically the same in every day use as a nexus 5 isn't it?
Nexus 6 is too big for hands, that's for sure. No way you're going to one-hand that with a cup of coffee in the other and still slide your metrocard to get on the subway. And forget about getting that thing into your pocket.
Why did they ruin our Nexus? And why are they charging twice as much? I'm actually very sad about all of this. Now I'm stuck with deciding between the Moto X and the Droid Turbo. Sucks.
You know what? I'm just gonna keep my Nexus 5. This phone rocks. Google just sent me a free refurb replacement, and with Lollipop, it feels like I have a brand new phone.
Nexus 5 is still a great smartphone and still a superb buy, even this time next year it still be decent and rocking with whatever latest Android is by then, plus hopefully Google will see sense and go back to a 5" or 5.2" screen & give either HTC or Sony a bash at a Nexus Smartphone, or better still have 2 Nexus Smartphones Phablet and standard to keep everybody happy.
I was very very close to getting a moto x, but after flashing lollipop, my Nexus was like a brand new device and I decided I would stick with it for a bit.
Then I was lucky enough to get an invite for the oneplus the other day and it is expected to arrive this weekend. We will still if that is a worth successor without being too big.

For now, I'll keep using the Nexus 5, although I initially wanted to buy the Nexus 6.
Unfortunately, the significant price increase (Nex 6 costs about 300 EUR more than a Nex 5 in the German Play Store) forced me to do the decision not to buy it. I primarily need a good developer phone, and 650 EUR for the Nex 6 is just waaaay to much money.
Best Regards,
Benjamin
I'm holding out to see what Samsung and HTC do in the spring. GS6 and M9. Nothing from this year impresses me. Scratch that... Note 4 hardware is impressive, but TouchWiz still kills it, as always.
I'm waiting for project ara.… .

Probably gonna wait for the nexus release next year. Price is way too high for a nexus 6. I'm good with a 5.in fact I bought a used one about a month ago and it's still a very fantastic phone for its price. I'm kicking myself now for not buying it 1year earlier.
absolutely moto X
Z3c
LG G3 with cyanogenmod for the win phone has the right hardware, size, removable battery , now we just need the right ROM. Until then I'll stick to the N5.
I was wanting the Xperia Z3, but ****ing Sony and their DRM removal when you unlock the bootloader... the camera turns to **** and the modem/radio doesn't even work when you unlock the bootloader! I'm watching the Note 4.
I know the next generation is coming soon tomorrow. I am looking for a phoblet phone that can replace my cellphone. I dont like Galaxy Note series.
I love mine and I am not upgrading anytime soon
I've bought mine a week ago, got it at a very good price, almost half the price of the upcoming 6P, so I didn't hesitate.
The new nexus phones barely have higher specs then the nexus 6. I just got mine yesterday, and its well worth it. The 2016 nexus will be the next phone worth upgrading to when the SD820 cpu is inside it, the 808 really isn't a upgrade to the 805
I bought mine 3 weeks ago. IMO, best unlocked phone you can buy for the price.
I bought it today and i think it is worth. There won't be anything better than this until Snapdragon820 phones come to shelves.
I bought mine last week and am very happy with it coming from a Note 3. I like the Note series but they are locked down tight on VZW.
Have mine for almost a year now and I'm not thinking about upgrading for at least one more year. It's still as smooth as when I got it. You won't regret getting it, the newer phones aren't that much of an upgrade especially when compared price wise. Go for it.
The only difference to me between new nexus phone is camera performance other than that, I see now reason to upgrade.
not sure what the complaint is but the camera works just fine for me. if I am that critical over a picture, then the DSLR comes out...which is almost never.
It's like Fantasy Football
The Nexus 6P is Julio Jones and AJ green, but you are looking for that stat producer on the cheap. Maybe a STeve Smith Sr or Julian Edelman. Getting the job done just fine even if they aren't the new hotness.
My opinion is that the nexus 6 is a great device. The price has came down almost half of the original cost. I paid 650 for the 32gb and see them for under 300 a lot. If willing to pay 300 extra for the fingerprint scanner, beefed up processor, and native led then get the n6p. I'll be sticking with my n6 for another year!

If sprint will sell it for under 400 then heck yea I'll jump on it. I have had a terrible experience on my current phone and want a stock android experience.
I just bought a second one with the new price drop. Got mom on Project Fi and she loves it. She is always at home and bill is only $23 or so a month.
I see not reason to upgrade at this point......may in a year on the next gen phones come out.
Never could use a "standard" size phone again. Love the hugeness.
Wifi sucks now since latest update. Hopefully Google will fix this.
Everything else is good.
riding the moto nexus until next year when the 820 chip-set is standard, I bought my shamu almost a year a go, and couldn't be happier

You know you can grab any North American Nexus 6 and stick it on Sprint & Verizon now, right?
Only exception is the AT&T variant, that one needs to be SIM-unlocked first.
I came from a Note 2 to the Nexus 6 (same as your current if I am correct) and couldn't have been happier.
The 6P is using the 810 vs the 805 in the N6... The known to overheat 810 is NOT the processor anyone would pick if given the choice. Yes, i know the 810 in the 6P is supposed to be the 810 rev2.1 but it only clocks at 2.0 Ghz on the high end. So with the heat issues and it having to be underclocked to keep from becoming a hot plate makes it an absolute NO go for me.
The size difference will feel good because the Note 2 - N6 size difference in the hand is fantasmic because of the screen to body ratio.
Unless you are a HUGE camera person and absolutely NEED a fingerprint reader, with the price of the N6 being ~$300 it will be a buy you WILL NOT regret!!!
