Can someone please find a way to remove that jarring shadow/gradient on the bottom of screen. It shows in default launcher and does not go away with nova launcher as well.
I have searched everywhere in the SystemUI.apk but cannot find the right value, or even if it is in the SystemUI.
Please if someone with good skills can find a way to remove it, post it here.
Same please someone do something about this...

I don't what shadow you're talking, but Apex launcher, which I prefer to Nova, has a Hide Shadows option in home screen settings. No shadows present on my home screen. Hope it helps
Even i have the same shadows. On a dark wallpaper i get grey patched on top and bottom of the screen. Not present on lock screen.
please share your screenshot to make us understand what you are actually upto.

is there a way to have your home wallpaper at just 480x320 resolution where it just stays in the same place & doesn't scroll behind the icons? without using a home replacement app.
"wallpaper set and save" in the market

I am not sure what the previous post meant? You need to compile your own launcher with eclipse. When you download the source from git, there is a launcher.java file which allows you to change the number of homescreens. I am trying to figure out how to do the actual compiling. If you find out let me know.
I think I have this figured out. When I am able to make a 3 screen launcher, I will also do a 1 screen, and post it for you.
what he wants or wants to know, is if it can be set up to make his icons more from screen to screen, but have his wallpaper not move (now it moves a little bit left or right when you slide to a different screen.) I have never seen such a thing myself to stop this from happening.
the "wallpaper set and save" app worked perfectly. thank you
Wallpaper Plus
well you can use wallpaper plus but its a paid app but it works and you can also crop the selected image for the single screen and that'' leave it as one image but will suck in landscape since its cropped and wont strecth but i suggest it, works very well

what I do is, I take a 320x480 image and use wallpaper set and save app, and the wallpaper doesn't move just my 5 screens do, but I don't know if thats a possibility on the stock rom, I;m using CyanogenMod 4.2.3.1
what someone should do is make it to where itll show a DIFFERENT wallpaper for every screen...

Although the app isn't free lol
Anybody get this program working on there nook? I've seen it work on youtube but can't it to work on mine. The guy could assigned a separate pick for every screen. I can't seem to do that.
Yes, I haven't had any problems. All you have to do is make sure you check off wallpaper scrolling + in adw settings, then make sure you add specific wallpaper/folders for each "page".

The thread I linked too, talks all about how to do that. I have mine set up like that to some degree.
While I'm at it. Can I change the order of my screens?
while in the launcher screen of adw, just hit the menu options and see edit.
Edit will bring up the screens, you can change the order, but you have to change each of the settings in wallpaper app(no easy way).
Hello everyone. First hope I'm posting this in the right place.
Today while moving some icons around on my homescreen (stock lg optimus l90 not rooted) I found a neat little trick and didn't see anything about it anywhere so figured I'd post it here. If it has already been mentioned or talked about please delete. If not hope it helps someone or at least someone likes it.
If you press and hold an icon on the home screen that you'd like to change till app info and delete pop up at the top of the screen don't move it just release the icon, a little blue bubble will appear on the right of the icon. Press the icon again and it will take you to a different screen where you'll have the option of changing the icon to some predetermined icons already there or as a picture of your choice. It will also give you the option to resize the icon.
If you liked this little built in tweak or have used it let us know your results.
Someone may have already mentioned this but I did not find it using the search term "floating icons". Anyways, with a picture set as a wallpaper if you hold the phone at a slight angle and move it around it appears the icons float just a little bit off of the wallpaper. Almost like the wallpaper is on a seperate screen under the screen that the icons appear on. I looked at a guys S6 phone and did not notice it but he had a theme wallpaper and not a picture. Maybe I am just a little crazy. Have a look at your phone and let me know if you see it as well. Stock TW launcher.
Yes, it is called "Wallpaper motion effect". You can turn it on or off. Please see the attached screenshot.

HaHa! I never even noticed that.
Hey everyone,
I've been looking for an answer to this question, but I can't find one anywhere, blah, blah, blah.
I am running Nova Launcher Prime 4.2.2 over the stock launcher on my N920A with Android 5.1.1. I have a wallpaper with a solid black background. It looks something like the first image below. You might not be able to see it on a monitor, but the problem is that across the bottom, something (I am assuming it's my stock launcher or theme service) is lightening my background. It is happening in front of where the dock would normally be. In order to highlight what the problem is, I took some screenshots and then used paint to color in my background. Since I am a first-time poster, I can't post links, but I can tell you that my screenshots are on i dot imgur dot com with the following file names (sorry for technically posting links...):
My home screen with Default theme: tEvYClN.jpg
My home screen with Default theme and the background colored white: i9wfuK7.jpg
Now here is what happens when I change the system theme to sd-Black
My home screen with sd-Black theme: T7tDb5N.jpg
My home screed with sd-Black theme and the background colored white: vpfYaE7.jpg
Here is one more view of what I see on my screen. iNH7n7t.jpg
So changing the theme adjusts the height of the color distortion at the bottom. and top I want to know how I can get rid of those bars altogether. I am sure that this bar on the bottom changes when I adjust the system theme and I have tried it with other wallpapers with the same result. I have done as much troubleshooting and narrowing down of the problem as I can. Any thoughts? Thank you all for your help!
