I have an MDA Vario III branded phone using the HTC ROM 1.56.405.5 and a sony MEX-BT2500 (Bluetooth enabled stereo with A2DP).
http://www.audio66.com/product.asp?id=5616&cat=1&man=6&main=1&userid=&firstsel=cat&variation=
The A2DP works well (except it's a pain to enable/disable it using the WM6 interface!) and I can make outgoing calls fine with the phone paired with the Sony but when incoming calls come in, the ringer is routed to the stereo but when I answer it the voice doesn't and I have to hang up and call the person back.
I paired my work Nokia with the stereo and both incoming and outgoing calls work fine.
I tried the original T-Mobile ROM and still had the same trouble.
I'm assuming (with no knowledge of what I am talking about) that the bluetooth stack on WM6 has some issue with routing incoming calls but I can't find any reference to this problem anywhere else and it would seem to be the kind of problem I'd expect millions of users to have a problem with and that there would be a lot of posts.
Does anyone else use bluetooth handsfree? Does it work properly? Does anyone use a bluetooth stereo and A2DP? Does it work properly? Does anyone know if there's a fix?
Thanks for the info in advance...
mine works Ok with my BT2500 although sometimes it needs to be re-paired
Info
Can you tell me what ROM version you have and what model your phone is, radio version, installed programs etc? so I can try changing things.
If you hae a2dp music being streamed and a call comes in does it still work?
ROM is UK Vodafone out-of-the box original (v1615 = Tytn II) 1.56.161.4
Radio is 1.27.12.11
Have Seuth255's A2DPFix from the Hermes forums (prevents skipping)
MS Voice Command V1.6 (i have a SE BT headset too)
Remainder are general apps, gps etc.
haven't tried a call when music is streaming. will do later and let you know
Works for me too, with the original HTC ROM.
Everything is working fine here. I have a MEX-BT2507X, and there's some random 0.2sec cut every 15mins of playtime, but that's not a problem.
Have you used the quickfix from HTC?

I didn't know about the HTC Quickfix. I've just downloaded it and installed but haven't got round to leaving the PC to test it yet. I'll give it a go later and post back.
Fingers crossed...
Audio not working
My audio is not playing through the car speakers with the BT-2500. I had it professionally installed, but was running late to class so I didn´t fully test it until I got home a few hours ago.
I can control the tracks and play/pause, accept/end calls, and the dash microphone works, but my audio is not being pushed and played for some some reason (does work for CD, and Radio). I tried repairing numerous times, resets, and different programs, but no luck... but audio push worked great on a handsfree kit.
any ideas are greatly appreciate... I will take this back to the shop tomorrow, but I would like to know if anybody else experienced this and how they fixed it.
Thanks!! =)
btw, I use stock AT&T rom

...much, much later...
I finally got round to trying it out and even with the quickfix I still have the same problem. My mate also has a Kaiser so I borrowed that (UK O2 ROM I think) and that doesn't work either.
Most odd. maybe I'll ring Sony.
I have the same problem with my Jabra 620s. Maybe somethings wrong with the headset itself?
Can you let me know ur ROM, radio versions so I can see if we have anything the same.
Hi,
I've been using a SGS GT-I9000 for a year and a half and since and since a few days, during voice calls, the microphone is very low (People don't hear me). sometimes it works fine but sometimes it doesn't.
I tried using the voice record app but it doesn't work very well.
I bought a new bluetooth handsfree set and I don't know whether this is because of it (maybe it changes some microphone settings). It works fine with the bluetooth handsfree set.
I tried to perform a factory reset using the command *2767*3855# but it still doesn't work very fine.
My android is v2.3.5 - I9000XXJVT - Kernel [email protected] #2.
Is there a way to reset the microphone gain setting to its factory value ?
Or is there a way to configure the microphone gain to fix this issue ?
thanks for your help.
Alex.
I don't know any software issues related to microphones.
But no using a Bluetooth headset doesn't effect your microphone.
If you have the stock headset try it and if that solves the problem you should get your microphone checked at a Samsung Service center.

It will work for sure cause it's not the same microphone, it's a different input line.
I remembered I gave a try to intelli ring which change the mic sensitivity, i installed it again to push the sensitivity to its maximum value and the last person I called could hear me. I don't know for sure it this was the real reason why my mic didn't work.
I guess it's possible to change the microphone sensitivity (search on google play for AudioBoost 2).

Hi Arif,
I am also facing same problem after upgrading lolipop in my Z2, i went to Sony Center they enabled Hearing Aids option in call settings
now my voice is clear to the callers. I am not sure weather it's an hardware issue or software issue.
Go to Settings then Call there you can find Hearing Aids
Thank you,
Raam.
Hello, some days ago i bought the device in subject for my car.
But when I tried the microphone to use with Google Now or to recall some contact in Contacts through the voice I noticed that the mic didn't work.
I don't know why.
For the calls with bluetooth the microphone works fine..
Edit: for the calls also doesn't work. I noticed wrong..[emoji57]
Edit: i talked with technical assistance and the operator said that my car stereo doesn't mount a hardware for voice commands but only the microphone for the calls. Infact after deeper tests i noticed that the mic works fine during the calls..
Sent from Note 4 device - Rome - Italy
I'm new to the subject (didn't buy a HU yet) but, from what I've read around in the last days, this is a known issue.
All of a sudden, my microphone does not work in a call. Regardless of if I originate the call or answer a call, the other party can not hear me. Works fine through speaker phone or Bluetooth. I've searched as much as I can online for a fix, but no results. So far I have done the following:
-Installed a third party phone app
-Tried safe mode
-Tried to repair in the Xperia Companion app on my PC (actually made things worse - couldn't make or receive calls)
-Full restore to factory defaults (fixed the call issues, but not the mic issue)
The tests in the support app fails to hear a frequency change.
Since the microphone works in speak phone, I assume this is still a software issue and not a hardware issue (unless the speakerphone uses a different mic).
I'm stuck and could use some advice.
Thanks
I have the same problem for several months
I have the impression that I had this problem since I put underwater
the only solution I found is to put in loudspeaker or use headphones
