Hi everyone,
My friends daughter's HTC Desire 510 has been constantly resetting itself.
Unfortunately I haven't managed to get my hands on it
Apparently, it was fine yesterday and she left it charging overnight only to wake this morning and it turned itself off. Now, when she turned it on, it keeps restarting itself. It won't stay on for more than 30 seconds. She's tried taking the battery out and restarting it, but no good. It won't even stay on long enough for her to do a full reset.
She's been on a forum and all the help she seems to get says "send it off to be fixed" which, of course, is something we'd rather avoid (though I guess it's still in it's warranty period).
I could try to get her to factory reset it in the Hboot menu/recovery but I'm not sure if she's got the FastBoot option ticked in Power Settings.
Any ideas?
thanks a lot!
Thats funny im on here as my htc desire 510 started doing the exact same thing this morning hope someone comes on here wth an answer
A factory reset via HBOOT sorted it out.
Thanks
Thanks i have no idea how to do that but i will look in to it now i know the problem can be sorted out
mines is doing the same thing, but even when i did the reboot it actually never factory reset itself and still continues to restart

Hello guys!
I'm having some trouble with my HTC Touch Diamond. I am running the latest ROM, and the phone has worked perfectly since I've got it!
But one day it suddenly powered itself of during a phonecall and I was not able to power it on again. I removed the battery, put it in again, didn't work. Took out the battery and waited for almost 30 minutes, tried again and now it worked!
Since then the phone locks up in no systematical pattern (when I wake up in the morning it mybe locked itself, sometimes when I listen to the radio or typing an SMS..). Do you have any idea what the problem might be? Can't type in the serial number as I just have managed to turn it on.
What should be mentioned is the behavior when trying to start it. Either the phone gives no respons, or it "buzzez" and the display shows "touch diamond", but the rom version is not appearing down to the right. When it starts, it starts just as it should and no error messages is displayed.
I have not tried doing a hard reset yet, which I must say is considered the last option.
Have anyone experienced something like this? Or does anyone have a suggestion about what might be causing this?
Thanks on beforehand
Edit: have performed a hard reset now (did not format the 4gb). But the problem is not gone.. The phone just died while surfing. Now it locks at the green windows mobile-screen just before the homescreen loads (if it even boots at all...)
Please help anyone!
Hello,
Tried to look up some answers to my problem, however I'm not sure exactly what is wrong which makes any troubleshooting rather difficult.
I bought a new ADP1 a few months ago. I haven't had much time to play around with the phone, have just been using it stock and haven't even added any applications. There has been no physical damage to this phone, no drops etc.
Yesterday the phone locked up when I was using the browser and would not function. When I would try and reboot it, it would lock up at the first android screen and would fail to start up. I ended up doing a hard reset to factory defaults and the phone finally booted. After setting everything up again the phone seemed to be working fine.
A few hours later it locked up again while using the browser. This time no reboot/safe mode/factory reset would get it to boot. I can't even get to recovery mode or even get the phone to attempt to boot up. The screen remains black and the phone will not power on. It won't even charge when I plug it into the charger.
Not sure how to proceed here and I can't seem to find any information in regards to RMA, it is still in warranty.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take out the battery for hour or so put it back in and try again.. but this sounds like my issue What happen to Me is my mobo was crapping out and eventually just died on me

Yeah, the mobo going to **** was my original thought.
I already tried taking out the battery last night for about 3 hours, it still didn't work.
Guess I'm going to have to look into an RMA, I hear they are a pain in the ass. The phone is still within it's 1 year.
Yea I would get that done quick

Basic Info:
HTC One phone purchased in Hong Kong through a relative, so no idea who the provider/brand it's RUU is under
Now running on T-Mobile network in Texas
Never had been tinkered with before (Rooting/Flash-ROM/etc.)
Never had issues with it aside from only getting 3G internet (had used 4G on previous phone, same plan)
This all started randomly earlier today when the phone was idling on the desk, I was going to check something but it won't respond. I didn't have any updates pending/installing and only had a game open. First idea was no power so I plugged it into the wall, but the charging light wasn't lit so I assumed a dead internal battery. After trying a few more times, it turned back on! But this time it gives me a black screen after the white screen with the HTC logo in the middle, and to further annoy me it keeps restarting and repeating this. I tried the Hboot screen via Power+DownVolume but none of the options worked.
I tried all the options:
Fastboot (Reboot + Reboot Hboot)
Recovery
Factory Reset
Nothing worked at all and I've already scanned the forums for something similar but nothing comes up. Someone please help me fix it, I need it for work and can't afford another day like this. T-Mobile guys were no help and Best Buy guys did no better. Thanks in advance for all the help!
Hey guys. I'm planning on selling my HTC One M7 since I recently upgraded. I did a full data reset to bring it back to how it was out of the box. I then SIM unlocked it with my unlock code and currently don't have a SIM sitting in it.
When you turn it on it'll bring up the Get Started/Emergency screen so you can begin to set up your new phone. Everything looked good, so I let the screen timeout. A little while later I come back and find the phone turned off on it's own. I power it back on and see it still has a lot of battery left. I leave it alone again and about 2 hours later I find it turned off again.
Is something wrong with the phone? It was working great up until I did the reset and now this happens. Or is it maybe some sort of power mode thing that shuts it off on it's own after a while since it hasn't been set up yet. I've tried to Google for answers, but come up with nothing.
Help! Thanks!

probably, only way to know is to go trough the setup and see if it reboot again, then you could factory reset the phone again.

Thanks. That did the trick. Once the phone was setup, no more problem. I guess it must be a power saving thing while still in fresh out of box mode.
Good Day everyone! I own an HTC Desire 510 from Boost Mobile, currently and only running stock. I have not modified or damaged the phone in anyway. I think im running Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with idk what htc sence... but anyways this problem happened today in the afternoon. I usually leave my phone on my work desk and use it during my lunch time . On my way home, i plugged in my phone to listen to some Pandora, and i noticed that it turned off and started up again! I got home and took out the sim micro sd and battery. I restared the phone and whenever this thing called Qualcomm iZat Location Services notification pops up, my phone automatically reboots, and does the cycle over and over again. I already tried disabling the services but still no luck. I only had it for a month and its already failing me!:crying: anyone have any ideas on what it could be Hardware or software issues?
P.S. I cant check the system info because i can only be so long in the phone before it reboots, and i already tried safe mode with no luck:crying:
P.P.S Sorry if i posted in wrong thread/section im new here
Sorry for the long story

Same thing just happened to my HTC Desire 510, this phone is new. It was delivered 5 days ago. Have you made any progress?

You're going to need to root your device so you can install a kernel with write protection removed so you can delete the offending app. If you just delete the app without rooting the device first and changing the kernel, the minute you reboot, it's going to reinstall all by itself with no input from you.
general directions to stop that stock app from crashing your phone,
1. Enter Recovery,
2. Factory Reset
3. Prior to getting online to update your apps disable that particular app from settings
or
1. Unlock HTC Bootloader
2. Flash Recovery
-in recovery
3. Factory Reset
4. Install compatible ROM (sprint ones here work for for boost AFAIK)
5. Install Gapps (optional)
6. root on prompt when you press reboot to system
might be a easier way but that's how I would go about it.
Fixed it with a Factory Reset
thank you all for the replies
Thank everyone for the ideas. Unfortunally i couldn't even root the phone so i had factory reset it ohh well thank you all......sorry for the late reply
