When I receive a notification the watch vibrates but screen does not turn on automatically. I have light flow and I am able to set recurring vibrations to the watch but it doesn't turn the screen on. Has anyone had this problem before?
Side note: I wish we had more control over how the notifications are delivered to the watch.
I'm having same issues, driving me nuts
Anyone resolve this yet?
I have the same problem, it's really annoying.. I just wiped /cache, I will let you know if it works
EDIT: It didn't help, I still have the same problem..
Same issue. Worked after an updated and now not anymore. Android wear is failing the Gwatch R. Instead of working on new features or taking away existing ones google devs need to fix the basics first.

Hi all, just got myself a LG GWatch R, and loving it so far...
Just a couple of questions...
1: The screen keeps lighting up when i move my arm?, this is causing extra battery drain and i dont want this to happen, ive already set the screen to always on in ambient mode so wht does it keep turning on to full?
2: It keeps saying google now is not available even though its connected? Annoying.
3: The same cards keep appearing even though i have swiped them away. Why?

Have you run all updates? Yes a reset may be in order.

1) You can no do that. Just mute notification by swipe down watch status bar, it mute notification and disable the lightin up movement.
2) It need BT connected watch/phone AND valid internet connection on phone.
3) card appear when phone send notification. If card appearing after swipe, it is your phone wich notify again.
1: STUPID, I dont want to turn my buzzer of to stop the screen lighting up.
2: All is connected but the watch does it constantly.
3: Cards dont appear on phone just constantly on the watch?

which particular card is annoying you? i do find the light up mechanism is annoying as if i turn my wrist to do something and the screen just light up.
i wish google or LG is able to come up a new features to stop the auto light up function by movement. on pebble, you can disable such function...why google cannot..
Well I tried emailing them about it. But after sitting there for half an hour entering crap just to send an email I gave up.
I'm on holiday this week. And I keep getting a card saying holiday all day. But this keeps popping up about 20 times a day. Doesn't appear on the phone just the watch.
According to the screenshots in this article covering the upcoming Android Wear 5.0 Lollipop, we will be able to disable the wake gesture!
have a close look at the screenshots of the AW phone app, there is an option "Tilt to wake screen"
the holiday is mark in your google calendar? if you didnt connect the phone with watch..did it happen?
No its coming from the phone. But I don't understand why it appears all the time instead of once
I would also like it too not light up every time I move! I have turned off all gestures and tilt to wake but it still lights up. Just want to tell the time not let everyone know im wearing a smartwatch.
It seems like suddenly, my watch doesn't like pushing notifications out to it. My phone will vibrate, then my watch won't get the notification until i tap the screen to wake it up. If i restart or factory reset the device, it'll help a little bit. Paired to a GS5 running alliancerom, but it doesn't seem to matter what ROM i use. Anyone else?
After the Lollipop update, I receive an MMS the notification shows on the lock screen as before. If I don't acknowledge it, the screen remains lit til the phone dies. The time out is at 30 seconds. I really don't want to do a factory reset of the phone... Anyone else had this issue and know of a fix yet? No fix for this, but the vibrate pattern for messages is gone. Now is just one long vibrate that is annoying. Why do they just take things out???
I had a similar issue in Kitkat. I don't remember how I fixed it but I do remember that it was related to smart stay and the fingerprint reader. I disabled both then enabled them or some sort of combination like that which seemed to resolve it.
The long vibration is freaking annoying. I want the shorter on back
Glad they give me plenty of things to try and fix.
Thanks for this post I'll keep it in mind.
Randomly my phone displays edge notifications in a dark blue color. When I check my phone I have no notifications of any type. Is this happening to anyone else? I have tried a factory reset but it did not fix the problem. I also have a lg watch urbane connected that does not show any notifications.
None here.
nope
is there anything set on your "people" edge panel? That's where the color comes from.
I think Samsung pushed some update last night though, because my messages are totally messed up. I get read receipts even though I don't want them, and teslaunread doesn't work anymore, but only to other Samsung phones.
I found the problem to be the open wifi notification icon that would appear and disappear while I was at work. I don't connect to the work wifi because I really don't need them monitoring my phone. Once I turned the open wifi notification off the problem went away.
I've searched far and wide and can't find a solution for this issue.
Here is what happens: for no reason that I can see (no new notifications), my screen turns on its own. My phone is just there on the table when this happens and I haven't touched it.
This happens whether the phone is plugged in or not. It happens in the middle of the night and wakes me up.
Things I came tried:
- turn on do not disturb and remove all exceptions.
- disable always on display.
- disabled all lock screen notifications.
- disabled a notifications.
Other things I've tried:
Lift to wake and all other things that could wake the screen.
Did a factory data reset and re setup my phone from scratch.
Nothing works. Can anyone please help me?
Thanks in advance.
I had the very same problem until a few days ago when this behaviour suddenly stopped. What changed? I had shutdown my Pebble watch and connected a Wear OS watch to my phone.
I don't know what the Pebble did, but it looks like it woke up my phone at random intervals.
Maybe it a bluetooth device you've connected?
I'm expeciencing sometimes this behaviour when listening to the music on bike with phone in pocked on back. I disabled all "smart" funcions like smart lock, pocket detecting, wearing detection etc and it stopped.
I think it is caused by new type of proximity sensor used in whole S10 line (so I think it is hw related). I read somewhere than it detects skin proximity even thru several layers of cloting.
It is behaving strange even during phone calls - when put phone down from my ear, it tooks several seconds until screen lights on.
it's one of the things that bothers me a lot about otherwise great phone.
facing same issue
I always loved Samsung galaxy s10. I bought it from my friend who used it for 10 months. I am facing the same issue first I thought it is because he used it for 10 months and some bug appeared but now I came to know its not just me. if anyone knows how to fix it then please post a reply. I really need to fix this
I haven't noticed that on my S10. It sounds like something is triggering it, but what. Do all of you use Bixby because I don't.
