change from SM-N920K to SM-N920(?) - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys, so I'm getting my Note 5 finally
The problem is that I'm getting an SM-N920K model. It's from olleh.com and embedded with preinstalled stuff and a logo of the operator when I turn the phone on.
What can be done to get rid of this? I didn't find and stock rom that is suitable for sm-n920k version. Is it possible to change from n920k to n920C or n920i that have stock versions?
Thank you!

No i dont think so... S/K/T these are korean variants. May b someone make a custom kernel then it works...

About Choosing Right Firmware...

Hey guys i was searching for factory images for my xt1068 dual sim indian version... i found them on the link below
http://motofirmware.com/files/category/38-titan/
there are two versions im confused abt them...wat is RETAILDSDSALL and RETDEALL??? i hav moto G xt 1068 Dual sim indian retail version...any help??? i hope this link wil help u too...
RETAILDSDSALL means RETAIL (I guess you know what is this), DSDS = Dual SIM, and ALL = I don't know what this mean, sorry, I guess is like 'it works in all countrys' something like that, I never tested Retail like this, so I don't know if it really works. And the second seems to be a retail from a country that I don't know the name, (sorry, couldn't find this in google), but if your XT1068 is from india, the firmware that you need is a Retail from india (obviously), or a 'retin' firmware, I don't know how is this in India, but here in my country I can use even a US firmware and it will works fine, but like I said, I don't know if in India is the same thing.

Difference between N9200 and N9208

Any thoughts. Both N9200 and N9208 support the same LTE bands. I assume the difference is something to do with level of Chinese language support? I ask as I have N9208 and this set to English does not work consistently for keyboard predictions and S Pen handwriting input, not as good as the UK only Note 4.
I did some research. Looks like both models the same except N9208 is dual SIM. So both probably have special support for Chinese.

Perhaps I need to reset. So your S Pen input instead of keyboard with the 4 quadrants works okay?

I've installed SwiftKey so that may help with improved predictions.
Hey mate, how did you go with English language support issues on your Note 5, as I'm planning to get 9208, but want to make sure, everything works as normal. Any help is appreciated.

I am quite certain that N9208 ROM won't work on N9200 since none of the other N9208 ROMs work on N9208 (not even N9208 Indian ROM works on Taiwan variant) (pretty differently built hardware maybe). Since there is no cross-device compatibility of N9208 with any other, hence I am guessing that vice-versa also may not be possible. It could return an error in ODIN during flashing.
Although, I'd say you may be lucky if you try downloading from sammobile and flashing through ODIN. Let us know how it goes, it may be helpful for folks who have been trying to install cross-device stock ROM on Note5 (especially us N9208 Taiwan variant users). :fingers-crossed:

Nem-al10 3gb ram 32 gb

Hi experts,
I have ordered NEM-AL10 3GB RAM 32 GB version and I live in France. Apparently, the b20 800 MHz lte is not supported. Is it an hardware limitation of this model? If not, is it possible to flash an européen Rom?
Any help appreciated...

Since it don't support b20 this means the radio modem in is different than the ones that support b20, it is hardware related unfortunately
I haven't received my Honor 5c NEM-AL10 3GB RAM 32 GB. I think I can live without LTE B20, but:
- Can the phone be switched into french language ?
- Is the Google PlayStore installed on it ?
Thanks for your answers.

Honor should have left the fingerprint sensor on the european model of 5c.... <sight>

I recently bought the NEM-AL10 3GB from fasttech (non-european shop)
I could change (most of) the language after a factory reset (Changing Android language did not change EMUI language before resetting). However, some of the pre-installed apps (browser etc.) cannot be uninstalled without root and remain (partly) in chinese.
One of those apps is the Huawei App Store... So no Play Store installed by default. But you can install the PlayStore additionally.
Up to now, I was not able to root the phone to uninstall the pre-installed chinese apps - let me know if there is a solution.

Thanks for your reply.
However, the Guide (from what Druger said and from my experience) seems to work only for the 16GB/2GB version, not for the 32/3GB.
At least, flashing custom recovery did not work as intended (got bootloop, and had to flash stock recovery).
Might be because its an asian phone, though.
