Hey all,
after the official upgrade to android 4.3 I have been trying to start app ops on my xperia z but it closes when immediately when opened.
I've first tried with the 10.4.B.0.569 build (leaked Commercial&Journalists one) last month and had the same problem but I thought it might be an incomplete build so was waiting for the official Sony version.
Since the Sony tool didn't want to upgrade (because it is effectively the same build nr) I downgraded to the 4.2.2 rom and had the Sony tool upgrade it again to their latest build (10.4.B.0.569) + did a reset of the phone but still app ops doesn't work.
I tried with a direct link using nova launcher and also tested the various apps that provide the shortcut, everytime I see it opening but flashes away after a second.
Is there anything I am missing or doing wrong, I was under the impression that I don't need to do anything special (root/unlocked bl).
Anyone else with this prob?
(Xperia Z build 10.4.B.0.569 - bootloader locked, no root)
You need root and Xposed framework.
If you installed xposed, there is a module which is called AppOpsXposed. This one you have to install.

Finally got my XZ. I was wondering if there are any suggestion/tips worth following, and if flashing on a LB is worth it? Also I noticed that the softkeys are taking too much space, so is there's a way to narrow it down so that the screen can be maximized?

everything you need first
For the softkeys.
You need ROOT (use towelroot) and Xposed installer
Install Xposed installer
Open it
Go to framework Click install/update
Grant the root access
The device will reboot now
Download @serajr Xperia Xposed
THAT if you running Android jellybean (4.3/4.2.2) and THAT if you running Kitkat (4.4.2)
Now install it
Open Xposed Installer again
Go to modules
Tick Xperia Xposed
Click on Xperia Xposed icon in modules or app drawer
Go to System UI
Click on Portrait size and Landscape size to change it's size
Default is 48p
REBOOT AND SEE!
PSSST!. don't mess with Xposed installer a lot only if you know what you doing
Enjoy and don't forget to hit thanks!!!

You forgot one important thing, after rooting with towelroot he should install supersu. Otherwise every app will have root access....

Besides that, please do not post questions in the general section - use q&a instead and please use the search function before opening up new threads. Most of the things have been asked before
Wow, can't believe you bought this phone. So many better options for the price and specs.
1st tip: Never be afraid to drop it in water, this phone is really waterproof.

Our phone(Xperia Z) is Water Resistant not Waterproof.
Put on a screen protector front and back or front with a case covering the back . The antishatter film scratches easily.

Xposed Framework Installation Help (Noob Here)
Can anyone tell me how to properly install Xposed Framework on Android 5.1.1?
I went through official Xposed thread, did whatever was told accordingly, and I got bootloops.
Can anyone tell how to install Xposed in a simplified way without getting into bootloops? I've rooted my Xperia ZR with KingRoot and Then I replaced that with Supersu, my bootloader is unlocked nd I have XZDualRecovery 2.8.21

Hi all.
I have latest Kitkat stockrom. The rom is rooted, but the bootloader is still locked.
I tried install xposed and Serajr Xperia™ Xposed, but many functions do not work (for example, xperia home customization).
Do you have any suggestion for me? Do I need to deodex the rom to use Xposed?
thank you.
oh my bad. I forgot to install the custom launcher. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56341361&postcount=2227
sorry
So hello.
I am... just a newbie with a few questions. Today i got it finally to flash, unlock bootloader and root my phone. I was very amazed about that so i want to do some more stuff.
My question:
Is there already a xposed-framework which works on my Sony Xperia Z5, SDK25, arm64-v8a?
And if yes --> How to install it?
Thank you a lot.
