[Q] Z1 cyanogen 12 (lollipop) on Xperia Z1 bootloader allowed: No ? - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi XDA!
I just did a straight 7 hours research on how to install cyanogen rom on Xperia Z1, then i saw that we can't on smartphone that is not allowed in the bootloader.
But i saw that we can install with some roms ready for bootloader not allowed. but i didn't find any of the latest version.
And i don't know why we can't toogle it ON... Some websites give their services to toggle it ON. but how they do that ... And no solutions for open public to counter that...
Is there a solution that i miss to pass the bootloader ON ?
Is there a cyanogen mod for xperia Z1 on lollipop for BL ON ?
Is there other solutions ?
Oh and i finally manage to ROOT my Xperia Z1 !
Thanks a lot !

Bootloader
is your bootloader is unlock now ?

Nexus line phones have always had the option to unlock the phone's bootloader. But for all other non-Nexus phone such as our Z1, there are phones with the option:
Code:
[Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes], and
[Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No]
There are those firmwares that you can install through a custom recovery such as TWRP on a phone with [Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No] - if I am not mistaken, those firmwares are those that use stock kernels. And those that require a phone with [Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes] are almost all of the time require a custom kernel.

[Q] Xperia Z1 root problem. Please help

Hello dear members,
my xperia Z1 is running on 4.4.4 build 14.4.A.0.108, I was looking for a method to root it.
I understood that I have to unlock the bootloader before rooting. The problem is that the phone says bootloader unlock says NO when i enter the "*#*#7378423#*#*" menu...
Is there a solution to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader or a method to unlock the bootloader even if not allowed?
Thank youuuuuuu all
You do NOT have to unlock the bootloader to root
You do HAVE to look in the development section for the root tools though
Just google "root xperia Z1 4.4.4"
Thanksss !

[Q] [Honami] Unlock bootloader on Lollipop

Hi!
I've been given a few steps on how to root, flash a recovery and backup TA on my Xperia Z1 (steps are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/help/q-root-ta-backup-custom-recovery-help-t3143388 in the second post). My question is if I have to do something special to unlock the bootloader or just follow those 3 steps (1- root, 2 - flash a recovery, 3 - backup TA) and just then wipe the phone and flash a CM12.1 from the recovery? Or how can I unlock the bootloader and flash the CM12.1 on Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami)?
EDIT: !!! I found out that my Xperia Z1 says Unlock bootloader allowed: NO ! What can I do? Please?
Thank you for all of your answers!
I'm in the same boat and I have scoured the net for months and have found no solution, software or hardware or otherwise. I think we are SOL

Click to collapse
You cannot unlock the Bootloader if it says "Unlock Bootloader Allowed: No" in your service menu.
And trying any other methods to unlock it will probably brick your device. There are a lot of LB ROMs out there try out. Try them if you want.
Of course i want to change the rom, but for example cm12 has a lot of bugs and the other roms are for UBL. .

Unable to open recovery mode in Xperia sp

I have a rooted Xperia sp and I want to install custom roms but I'm unable to open recovery mode to install the rom from sdcard. Is this a common problem with sp users or it's only in my case and is there another way to install custom rom. Please help.
Rooted & bootloader unlocked ?
I don't know how to check whether the bootloader is unlocked or not. Can you suggest a way for that.
But when I dial *#*#7378423#*#* and go to service info-configuration it says Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes.
I guess it probably means it's still locked.
