[Q] "solved" play store

my play store wasn't working on my phone because my country is blocked from google
i rooted my phone and i installed vpn and market enabler and the latest googleplay app
it was working fine but after 2 days, i have this msg you device's country is not available, tho my google account has a american number as the 2 step ver and i set my place at USA also
and i never switched my gps on my phone
but still i can update apps but i can't download any
can u help me please i really need the market on my phone !!

I think that there is Modded Play Store and it should be work for you try it. Use search button

Probably your position was determined by wireless networks.
Disable it from
Settings --> Location and Security --> Uncheck "Use Wireless Networks"
Use a modded version as mentioned above , or in the worst case reflash the ROM and install play as you did before.

or maybe you can flash the gaaps after flashrom and root...
because I also have experienced it...my play store didn't work
hope it can solve your problem

no need to do that just put the apk in the system/app and edit the permission and it will work fine i just need it to change my location and its working just fine now !! thanks all for ur help

[Q] Note 3 Compatible App

I recently purchased the StickNFind tags which are compatible with the Note 3. I;m running the Note custom ROM which uses a custom DPI. Now I can't download the app, because the Play Store says my device isn't compatible.
Could someone download the latest APK for this app for me? The app string for the Play Store is "com.ssia.sticknfind".
Please excuse me if I've asked this in the wrong forum.

SM-N9200 HK version root?

Hey guys, do any of you know if we have root already for this version for Note5?

I found this the other day:

But... I don't speak Chinese and I don't know that website so I'm not risking it. Would love to get a root on my HK SM-N9200 as well.

Thanks bro. I don't think I will risk it either. There are also no comments there that confirm that it works...
At the moment I don't have a real reason to root, but i'm sure I'll need it in the future. Hopefully we will have it soon.

Since you have the N9200 as well, could you do me a massive favor? I'm really dissatisfied with the scrolling behavior on mine. I've made a thread about it in the General section.
Could you let me know what software version you are on? Have updated to the latest one (N9200ZHU1AOI1)? But most importantly: do you notice stuttering behaviour in scrolling through apps like Google Play store, Youtube, Facebook etc...?

No problem, I'll try to get to it as soon as I get home, Going to Uni now.
Though I must say that I dont really use those apps because I live In china. If I use them I have to open Astrill VPN. I just Tried it with facebook, and it seems pretty smooth, except when it loads new content because of Chinas great firewall.
(Im also on the new version, but today I tried the "Package debloat" app from the Q&A section and disabled 150 or so apps)

So does anyone found any clue for N9200 root (OI1 firm) ???

then arter's kernel with dual sim intact..
Edit:
current progress and planned
unlock bootloader
install twrp
backup everything
reboot
notice GAPPS get removed when you unlock
verify my knox container still works (says KNOX has been locked contact your IT admin need to change lock type)
flash stock n9200 kernel with ',verify' removed (aka allows system to be mounted and modified, without this change a kernel cant boot a rooted system)
reboot and verify knox container still works (same message)
flash gapps reboot and verify
flashing back gapps didnt restore everything i was missing (looked like every app i downloaded from play store was also removed), so i reflashed the stock system i pulled out of odin tarball
restoring data
Damn im glad I backedup everything as soon as I got recovery, first boot after unlocked BTloader, it was next reboot that it deleted all my data ( so after reinstalling stock system and restoring my data, everything is back to how it was)

reboot and verify knox container still works
flash arter kernel that I merged n9200 sources for dual sim support
reboot and test
(ii know knox wont work with any other customer kernel (i really want knox workspace with custom roms and plan on making it work)

I also installed xposed framework in my note 5.

Can you please share links to the files you've used? I tried to install twrp via Odin and I'm getting error RQT_Close and the phone writes something in chinese in the download mode.
Any customer ROM for dual sim yet?

I always use Samsung stock rom only and the root file worked for my note 5.
Have you ever unlocked CRom of your note 5 before?

You now can see a lot of replies of that website, and these replies were all from the same person, that was me.
I also got his contact by other chat app. And now I have a perfect root file for n9200 now!

Never mind. So do you want to try root your note 5 n9200?
if so, I would give you my root file and the CROM unlocker apk for you.
No Deep sleep problem and USB debugging problem already!

Change SM-N9200 Chinese to Hong Kong Stock Rom

Hi .
I got the SM - N9200 from china and now facing problems for googpe services and dialer not recognizing contacts if country code is added.
I tried changing to stock hong kong rom through odin but it failed. I then reverted to the stock chinese rom.
My current version is N9200ZCU1AOI2.
I tried to use the hong kong version. N9200ZHU1AOI1
i have never tried to root or change rom so even thos expereince was difficult.
Could someone please guide me to a solution .

If not too much has changed from the Note 4 to the Note 5 you can do it. It will void your warranty and may or may not totally brick your phone.
Google how to unpack and repack firmware. Do a lot of reading because you alone are responsible if you wind up bricking your device.

Check website bbs.gfan.com its chinese website. I used to root and install rom from here for my s2 3 4 years ago... use chrome as a browser and keep the translate ON...

Its bootloader is locked . So something like not compatible would be displayed.

Download this rom and flash it.

Install the last one for China.

ok so i used a root and installed google play services. All well there.
Also google contact sync was not working so i used sync adapter and i can see google contacts in phone.
Now one problem has started since google sync started:-
If i open a contact to view it and then close it, a message thread is added for that contact in message application. Although its empty.
It is not really a problem but an annoyance.
Let me know if someone can provide a solution.

First of all i cant log in youtube , youtube go or yt studio. there is an error.
There is no netflix in play store , but i downloaded apk.
Twin apps not working , i have facebook instagram whatsapp but when i enter twin app menu it says there is no app.
Also is there any shortcut to get screenshot?

May have found the problem. Turn off all auto start manager functions and data should work for apps again

Since you have a Tencent variant with WW ROM, the issue might be because the WW ROM was partially loaded, i.e., the device fingerprint still belongs to CN firmware whereas you havea WW ROM image. Check for threads in the ROG Phone 2 forum for full CN->WW conversion. These issues should stop then.

Yeah I found that out when rooting. Used root explorer to change country fingerprint and it all went away. Now I will keep the phone:good:

I got mine on eBay. It was shipped from New Jersey. I live in California
