Hey guys, do any of you know if we have root already for this version for Note5?

Thanks bro. I don't think I will risk it either. There are also no comments there that confirm that it works...
At the moment I don't have a real reason to root, but i'm sure I'll need it in the future. Hopefully we will have it soon.

Since you have the N9200 as well, could you do me a massive favor? I'm really dissatisfied with the scrolling behavior on mine. I've made a thread about it in the General section.
Could you let me know what software version you are on? Have updated to the latest one (N9200ZHU1AOI1)? But most importantly: do you notice stuttering behaviour in scrolling through apps like Google Play store, Youtube, Facebook etc...?

No problem, I'll try to get to it as soon as I get home, Going to Uni now.
Though I must say that I dont really use those apps because I live In china. If I use them I have to open Astrill VPN. I just Tried it with facebook, and it seems pretty smooth, except when it loads new content because of Chinas great firewall.
(Im also on the new version, but today I tried the "Package debloat" app from the Q&A section and disabled 150 or so apps)
So does anyone found any clue for N9200 root (OI1 firm) ???

current progress and planned
unlock bootloader
install twrp
backup everything
reboot
notice GAPPS get removed when you unlock
verify my knox container still works (says KNOX has been locked contact your IT admin need to change lock type)
flash stock n9200 kernel with ',verify' removed (aka allows system to be mounted and modified, without this change a kernel cant boot a rooted system)
reboot and verify knox container still works (same message)
flash gapps reboot and verify
flashing back gapps didnt restore everything i was missing (looked like every app i downloaded from play store was also removed), so i reflashed the stock system i pulled out of odin tarball
restoring data
Damn im glad I backedup everything as soon as I got recovery, first boot after unlocked BTloader, it was next reboot that it deleted all my data ( so after reinstalling stock system and restoring my data, everything is back to how it was)

Can you please share links to the files you've used? I tried to install twrp via Odin and I'm getting error RQT_Close and the phone writes something in chinese in the download mode.

I always use Samsung stock rom only and the root file worked for my note 5.
Have you ever unlocked CRom of your note 5 before?

I also got his contact by other chat app. And now I have a perfect root file for n9200 now!

if so, I would give you my root file and the CROM unlocker apk for you.
No Deep sleep problem and USB debugging problem already!

I bought Note 5 in China and thought that I will not have problem to find a way to install google play. When i install google play services it's crashing all the time or some versions can't login in account manager. I tried to install Honk Kong firmware but it failed to install and I was forced to return to native firmware using Samsung Smart Switch.
Can anyone help me to install google play on my device?

There might be two ways.
1 is install HK Firmware: Use Odin, there should be five parts of firmware.
2 is root your phone and install something, then google services.

I tried to install Hong Kong version of firmware N9200ZHU1AOI1 from this website http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N9200/ but it failed in the start of installation. i was forced to install it's native firmware using smart switch emergency
build number of my phone is N9200ZHU1AOI2
The same problem Spending a lot of hours to find out a solution...

then problem is to find root for this device. I found one http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/dev-pre-root-firmware-twrp-testing-t3183877 but there are a lot of issues in comments. i don't want to harm device...
Several of those people say it works without root. Good luck.

then open that app again ,click on image with 4 squares on it and choose google play services. after installing services you can enjoy using google play and all other google apps!
everything works
Ok so I used the root through ODIN and it worked.
After boot, I installed the app version 1.5 . Gave root access through the blue button. Phone restarted and play store was there . However system keeps giving a warning that play services stopped and google account manager stopped. I guess I installed the app version 1.5 while latest is 1.6 .. SO I ll try again . Also I didnt see the image with 4 sqaures ... could u please put a screenshot for clarity.

try to clear cache of google play in application manager
i had some issues during 2 days after installation, but after that it worked well. don't know exact reason

Whenever I try to play a movie that I have previously purchased in the Google Play Movies app I get the message 'Playback isn't supported on this device'. When I try to download it to the phone, I get 'Couldn't fetch license (error -1)'. I am however able to play the movie on TV via chromecast.
I have done a bit of searching around and one proposed solution is to play the movies in Youtube. I can indeed see my purchases in Youtube but when I try to play it says 'this video is not playable on this device'.
My previous phone is a Huawei P9 and it all worked fine. This is my first Xiaomi phone. I am on Chinese stock rom.
Any suggestions please?
Do you have root enabled? It sounds like Google Play Movies is detecting a rooted phone.

The only thing that worked for me was installing en.miui Rom or Xiaomi.eu Rom . Both are working .
I'm hoping to install EU ROM, waiting for bootloader unlock approval.

How long have you waited? I'm on my 30th hour just about. Seen them say up to ten days I think I saw in a fresh thread over at the MIUI forums recently. Even though according to the instructions, they have improved on response time. Sure I can wait, but I have just created my mi account. Read that seasoned and active users gets first dibs. Would just be awful to wait a week and then get turned down. By the second "inning" my application text would probably be in all caps:silly:

When you say en.miui Rom do you mean the developer version? That one works but the stable one does not?

Yes , en.miui Developer rom has better performance (in my case or opinión) but i had problems with bluetooth that didn´t happen on China Developer rom.
The unlock process takes a while, but if it takes longer than 10 days you can make a thread asking to unlock yours in the forums here : http://en.miui.com/forum-64-1.html
Check out the stickies there first before posting though, you need to use a "template" to make your thread

I finally got an unlock code last night after waiting for 2 days. But if my hing was my phone came unlocked lol. Stupid me didn't check until a day later after reading someone mentioning that the phone might be unlocked from the seller so I checked and it was.
I would recommend you do a unlock check via command line (CMD on Windows) first before assuming. Google "how to check if my phone is unlock" to get the exact command. It might save you some time from waiting and it only takes a few mins to find out.

Yep - fixed it for me too. I had the same problem with the new Netflix download feature. It was not showing up under the CN Stable rom but works great with the EU one.
I got this phone delivered to me last night from China (I am in Canada). The device came pre-loaded with Google Play Store, YouTube, Gmail, Play Videos, Google etc. Through Play Store, all the apps were easily available to be installed except Netflix. Upon researching, I found out that the device is not Play Protect Certified. Clearing the data and cache did not update/change this information. Is this ok or should I return the device? Thanks

You can root and use Hide Props magisk module to get Certified
My device is play protect certified. You may be missing the WW fingerprint that's why. My CN version is fully converted to WW by following the tutorial in this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/how-to/flashing-ww-rom-changing-cn-fingerprint-t3969765

Did you convert it to WW by yourself? After converting, everything works just perfectly? I mean no issues whatsoever?

I see this screen as well. But when I go to Settings in the same menu, at the bottom I see, 'Device not certified'.

I did the same and can also confirm this works on Tencent edition if you change fingerprint to WW.
I have the same problem. May I ask how to confirm the fingerprint is under CN?

Hi I got the tencent version and it is already flashed to WW 1908.12 version, is there a way to just change the fingerprint to WW without doing the whole step of getting 1907 version?

..now it seems as it will be delivered with a China ROM and no support for Swedish language..

Yup, the price in China is a lot lower than in Europe.
If it's possible to change the ROM to the Global, I will buy it.

Maybe someone tried unlocking the bootloader? I guess soon all will need some custom roms.
What's the difference between a global rom and a Chinese rom? Im thinking of buying this phone but it comes with a chinese rom, will it still work like a normal android device?

For the first time I bought a mobile with CN rom (Realme x50m 5G) and I got it yesterday. On beforehand I was thinking on try to change to a Global rom…
When I got it, it has Android 10, and when you start up you could change too English, it also seems have Russian, and some Asian and Arabic. So if you can use some of these langues it should not be much problem.
From my old mobile I have made backup using my Google account, and when I start up the new mobile, I could easily download Google Play, Google Drive and Google Chrome and when I log into my Google account, I could get all my previous apps.
The mobile itself works very much as my previous mobile with its Global rom. It has a lot of Chinse preinstalled apps, but most of them you can delete.
At first, I also try to download the rom for Realme x50 5G, but it did not accept that, so I went back and are now using version RMX2142_11_A.07
Ii think if you understand English its no problem, and many of the apps you are using you can have in your own language, if it’s not English

One quick question, i read on another forum that, for example, WhatsApp messages will often not come through until the app is open. They mention this happens because that app relies on the google play framework to display notifications.
Has this happened to you on your new device? Do all notifications on google apps work well?

Probably I was not very clear in my text, sorry for that, but what I did was TRY to install a Global rom, but it did not work, and I did try from Recovery...so now I use the rom "RMX2142_11_A.07"...

But where did you download the ROM you are mentioning?
Realme does not have it on their official webpage and the one you said, RMX2142_11_A.07 , I can't find on Google.

Hi,
I found this site realmeupdater.com .Don't know if its here where Mr. Amrena got the rom. The site suggest that every rom and update is available to download there.
Do you have the Realme X50 5G Chinese version too?

I was downloadingto my laptop from https://realmeupdater.com/downloads/latest/
and then moved it to the mobile...
When I after that (as I did not succed with the rom for X50 5G, I went into Recovery and selected "online download" and somehow it downloaded to my mobile the version "RMX2142_11_A.07"...Actually dont know how it happens...https://cdn-cf-3.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Weird, I can't find the Global Version in that site neither:

The only Global Version there is for the X50 Pro.

Hi today I got new problems.....
One is that I cant donwload apps from Google Play...seems some setting must be changed, but can find it..
.second is that for long time I have used an SMS-app "My SMS" on my laptop and my androidmobile without problem..for at least 5 years....now it no works as I cant change the preset SMS on this mobile...
What I will do now is too go into Revcovery on my mobile, and download the rom from the net..its a selection you do as a part of the recovery process..lets see what rom I will get..
